I brought Cane Corso 7 month puppy for the board and train 2 week program because he's huge and just needed basic training. And WOW! what a huge difference he turned out. Delaney is an amazing trainer! All the staff members are friendly and very informative! Board & train includes 2 follow up and you can even include your kids. They also sent us a video of everything he learned in the program! I will definitely bring him back if needed. I highly recommend this place. So worth it!!

I LOVE bringing our pup, Alani, here. We started with a group basic obedience class for 6 weeks and we loved our trainer Mekenna. We were somewhat sad it had to end. After the group class, our dog was uneasy & somewhat fearful with other dogs and not sure how to play with them, so we began taking her to Yappy Hour (an hour of play for the pups). She was nervous and wouldn't leave our side for the first few weeks but with consistency she got more acclimated and now runs around the entire hour. Alani has met some of her best of friends at Yappy Hour and always gets so excited to go! I even get excited to go. I love seeing them play together and chat with all the other owners. (Yappy Hour is always monitored by a trainer and all the owners are kind and respectful with their dogs. They have a Yappy Hour for small dogs and a big dogs.) Later, our dog developed some reactivity problems to dogs she has not met before. So we did a 4 week 1:1 training with Mekenna and have seen such incredible improvement! Alani is by no means perfect, and we still have to put in the work because again consistency is key, but I don't believe we would have been able to have improved this much so quickly without our trainer Mekenna training not only Alani but us as owners. (See some of the videos for how she does on walks now around other dogs.) I want to shoutout Mekenna for truly taking Alani under her wing and being so supportive of us and her training process. She has truly been a blessing to us. Now, I have not worked directly with the other trainers there, but I have had an opportunity to meet some of them while doing her 1:1 trainings and they are all so kind and supportive of your training goals. If you are looking for a place for your dog to train and/or play, this is the place to be!

Had a great experience! Our trainer, Delaney, is wonderful. Our lab has some reactivity issues. We enrolled him in the 4 week training program. We started to see results and improvement in his obedience and behavior within the first week. He is now a much more confident dog. We also learned how to work with him and to understand his needs better. This academy was a great choice.

Shiloh met her match! We got Shiloh at 6 weeks old. She's our 3rd Border Collie and though we've trained many dogs in the past, between having an 82-year-old mother Sonja who lives with us now, and then Sonja having a stroke 2 months later, the time constraints now on us became monumental, safety became a concern, so everything was a bit exasperating. After speaking with Karen and hearing in her voice, the calm level of professionalism and concern, our decision was made for Shiloh to go through the Board and train program to fast track her training. Delany did an amazing job. I called Karen a week into it because we missed our little girl, and she talked me into staying the course. When we met with Delany to pick Shiloh up and get our training out briefing, my wife and I knew the time and money was well spent. Shiloh 'knows' all her basic commands now. Her reactivity is a small fraction of what it once was, and going on walks has become a pleasure again. We can't thank Karen, Delany and their team enough.

We inherited a very rambunctious and aggressive dog who's previous owner didn't pay much attention to him or groomed him. He had matted ears and tail and he had to be anesthetized just to shave the patches off. As first time dog owners, we needed a lot of help. Danielle very thoroughly walked us through the services and explained what we could expect. We could see how amazing she was during our orientation meeting. She is a serious dog whisperer and had him the palm of her hand the whole time. Her positive reinforcement style was warm and gently firm at the same time. After that meeting we knew Mochi was in excellent hands. As promised she took wonderful care of him. She beyond exceeded our expectations. When we went to pick him up, she walked us through his behavioral changes and how we could continue to reinforce what we learned. She had us practice our commands, and he followed all of them without any resistance or hesitation. It was like we had a whole new dog! Thanks to the K9 Academy and especially Danielle for bringing out the best in Mochi and unleashing his steaminess! (See what I did there?). Seriously, they are the best!

Signed up for private lessons for our English Bully, Ben. Who is quite stubborn and difficult to walk.Worked with Nova who is an awesome trainer. She was very patient and knowledgeable when helping us with Ben. And giving advice with what we could do at home to curve unwanted behaviors. Ben would get excited when we would mention training and loved his trainer. We couldn't be more thankful to work with someone so amazing. The training space was great. We had to move some training dates around and they were very flexible. Will probably sign up for group lessons in a few months to brush up some training. Highly recommend!

I cannot sign enough praise on this facility and its trainers. The head coach Deb is so considerate and caring on all of its customers and the dogs. I had to cancel my board and train at last minute due to family member illness. Deb was so thoughtful about my situation. A few months after, I came and asked if I can still have my dogs trained. She helped provide me a package to accommodate my needs to train my other two dogs. I am so glad I found a dog training facility that is compassionate to its missions. To all dog owners, you will not go wrong if you choose "it's a dog's world K-9 academy". They do not take your money and run. I came back a few times to ask questions or do brush-up. they were so gracious and patient to answer my questions and provide me with guidance

This review is for Delaney! I rescued my corgi/shiba in December 2022. I've never rescued a dog before so this is the first time I've ever encountered this. My previous dog (she passed away last October) was not a rescue so the dynamic was different. My dog's name is Bolt. He had many issues. I'm assuming it was relating to his trauma, and I can't blame him. Long story short; he never listened to me...at all. Doesn't know anything aside from being potty trained. He's very stubborn and very set in his ways. I needed extra help and I already bring him to their kennel whenever I'm on vacation, so I decided to check out it's a dogs world. Delaney was his trainer. She has worked WONDERS! It's almost like magic. I did the 3 week board & train program. He knows sit, down (this one is a crowd favorite!!) place, stay, heel, wait, come, and break. Delaney was extremely patient when I went to pick bolt up. She taught me everything I needed to know and answered any of my questions and concerns that I had. I can also tell that her and bolt built a bond. It was really nice to know that bolt opened up to her. Delaney sent me home with some "homework" to work with. It's a long journey ahead but never in my life would I have imagined to have him listen to me, ever. He does not tug when we walk anymore. It was an absolute nightmare to walk him before taking him here!! Now, Dogs and children passed by bolt and he did not react! I've never seen that happen in my life. You HAVE to keep up with the training though in order for it to work. I love having training sessions with mine. It brings us closer :) I can't wait till it comes to a point where he knows all his commands confidently! Which i'm confident that he will. Thank you it's a dog's world and Delaney!! Y'all are a life saver and I 10/10 recommend !!!! PS. Best believe y'all will see me for my 4 field sessions LOL i might need some help down the road hehe

Great, caring place for your pets. Our dog spent with them many weeks. Deb and Russ took a great care of him. Upon arrival to pick Bentley up, we were greeted by the crew and shown videos from training sessions. Then it was time to reunite with Bentley. We found him happy and energetic; he gave us all lots of kisses. Russ spent lots of time with us and Bentley explaining how we can continue working with our dog at home. We are so thankful to all the caring people who work there and make sure that your pets are happy and safe while staying at K-9. Just want to mention that our dog is 8 years old and besides his age, Russ was able to train him. Great place, great people. A+++ to K-9.Was this review ...?

We did the 3-week board & train for our 7 month old. The girl was fearful of everything, humans, other dogs, and we could not walk her without her growling and barking at literally every human that we pass by, near or far. She went to school with Trainer Danielle, and 3 weeks later, she learned so much. When we picked her up, we could see she was loved by all the trainers, Danielle, Delaney and Debbie. She does so much better now. 4 weeks later, we are still keeping up with the training everyday. She loves the training sessions we continued at home and looks forward to them with so much enthusiasm and interest. Walking her has been so much better, because Danielle taught us techniques on how to help her deal with the anxiety. Love all the trainers in this academy!

I wish I could give more stars to this fantastic team. They're kind and clearly passionate about dog training. Additionally they do a great job of teaching the owner how to best train their dog. They worked wonders with my 6mo old black lab during a two-week board and train. She was trained by Delaney who is great to work with and one of the best dog trainers I have encountered. If you're on the edge of deciding on It's a Dog's World...make the jump!

Took basic obedience class. Fine. Tried for 3 weeks to get signed up for advanced class. Never returned my calls. Even went to the place and talked with head trainer, was told again, someone would call. Nothing. Have since found someone else that we are very happy with. Would NOT recommend this place, it's a dogs world.
