Love the vets here! I trust them, they don't beat around the bush, they give it to me straight and they have never let me down!

This one star review is solely on the shoulders of Dr Klohnen. To be fair, my past experience with Dr Brauer was professional and respectful. It was a very reasonable experience. That is not the case with Dr Klohnen. He was rude, arrogant, condescending, self righteous and passive aggressive. The list goes on. He basically called my wife a liar about the timeline of a horses eye injury (scratched cornea) and made a comment about us covering it up for the horses owner. That wasn’t happening and never asked of him. He would be rude and make snide comments when she called for updates and following up on timelines he gave. When we came to pick up the filly, I witnessed his rude treatment of an employee. This a small man of no character or decorum. I would not let him touch another horse and will not patronize this facility or recommend it because of him. Take your horse somewhere else.Mike BergBerg Ranch and Berg Performance HorsesTemecula CA

Great vet for getting vet checks on horses. They use cutting edge tech to check for lameness in horses.

Dr Fisher performed a MRI and a double neurectomy for my gelding. He did a beautiful job. The staff is always professional and there to answer questions very patient and kind.

I recently took my horse there for surgery and I cannot recommend them enough. Everyone was so kind and gentle with my senior horse; you can tell that they all are extremely dedicated to the welfare of horses. From the first phone call to set up his appointment to how thorough they were explaining the procedure, I am fully satisfied with this hospital. I cannot thank them enough for the help.

I took my horse in to find out why he was lame and I kid you not, Dr. Klohnen said "A good rider could ride this out of him". I thought I must have heard him wrong, but no, that is what he said... even though my horse was so lame, it was hard to get him out of the trailer. Needless to say, I couldn't get him out of there fast enough. Come to find out, after going to Murrieta Equine Hospital, (where Dr. Hoge, did a sonogram on BOTH back legs: my boy has torn severely torn ligaments.

Lack of empathy. Dated facility and software.1. Extremely hot days - they have fans lying around but the don't plug them in for the horses. They do nothing to ensure sick horses more comfortable in the heat. We needed to be our horses own advocate and get fans plugged in. Dated climate control.2. Our horse was slipping around the stall and tripping. Again, we had to be the horses advocate to get a safer environment with adding additional mats. Dated stalls.3. Zero fly control - swarms of flys. Bring your own fly spray.4. Horse was immediately misdiagnosed upon arrival. They were pushing for colic surgery to maximize our budget. This was not our horses problem.5. Limited communication if you are calling to check on your horse, they don't really care.6. Invoicing is performed on dated software5. They encourage you not be be around if they need to euthanize your horse (disappointing for sure!)7. My horse of 12 years passed away and 10 mins later the lady at the front desk tells me, "Hope your day goes great from here."I could go on..and on... overall they need to invest some money into bringing the facility to date.

Dated facility. 1. No fly control (dated facility) 2. No ensuring the horses are not slipping in their stalls (dated stalls) 3. Dated accounting system (getting invoices that are already paid for) 4. Lack of empathy - the vet pushes you to leave your horse if they need to be euthanized (my biggest disappointment in this facility) 5. No climate control - don't even use the fans lying around on hot days for sick horses. Don't care about the horses comfort. (dated facility) 6. Don't even try calling to check on your horse in the morning - they will tell you nothing. (dated protocol)

The staff is the best! Always very welcoming and treat my fur babies like their own! The office itself is always clean. Been going here for 20 years and will definitely bring any new additions I end up adopting.

VERY thorough, reasonably priced, took their time with my bf's horse and really did an amazing workup and diagnoses on two complicated issues. Vet was extremely rude several times though to his own staff and to me, not going back.

I was talked down to and treated VERY rudely several times now by Dr Brauer for no reason, so badly that I just said "Okay, we're done here!" and hung up on him on the last call. He was really rude to his own staff while we were there and made us wait so long we had to pay the transport people extra. I know they have emergencies but it doesn't take anything extra just to be civil to people. We waited too long for promised test results and then they only mailed them and never called us with them or any recommendations about it. We were told different things about his care, making me think they were trying to force us to bring the horse back there for a simple eye stain when we'd already had a home vet do it. No one needs to be treated this badly when they are already worried about their horse. Their scope wasn't working either which took a lot longer and which happens, but I was forced to stand on a badly broken leg for many hours and also had to wait in the hot sun. Not a way to treat anyone and still don't have the eye med he recommended and neither does my home vet, so it was probably useless to go there for his eye. I won't go back there.

Horses do d*** stuff. Respond quickly because the most lethal phrase is, "let's wait and see in the morning. You rarely save cash or a life by prolonged pain. Gelding got into barrel of chicken scratch and I didn't have exact timing. My vet wasn't answering so I called at 5:30pm and made sure they could see us. Trailered over and staff got him out of the trailer for me as I'm hobbling post hip replacement. Dr Klohnen Immediately did an ultrasound that showed that the grain was already in the small intestine and they were distended. Next they scoped and we discovered he had next eaten a chaser of wood shavings?!?! This is a hospital and I am not an obtuse fool to think or believe that highly educated trained professionals shouldn't charge for services just because it's an animal. I chose to be responsible for my pets and budget accordingly. The quote and final bill I was given was LESS than I had just paid for our 3 yo beagles knee repair TPLO surgery 3 weeks beforehand. They are busy with surgery and complex cases and like all businesses short handed so no surprise my calls weren't returned promptly, I just drove over to see for myself for 2 days. He was well monitored and kept comfortable until he passed the grain. Thankful there wasn't any anticipated colic or founder that were very possible.
