Because I drive a company car and the Fleet department decides on who does repairs, I'm forced, once again, to use Wiitmeier. Where to begin? The service is so far below average, it's laughable. The mechanics are no where close to friendly and the work they do (try to do) is remedial at best. They had two weeks to fix the engine light issue, a cracked windshield and a GPS screen freeze. I got it back after 13 days and the windshield (though replaced) now rattles loudly on the freeway, the GPS screen freezing is still occurring, and the engine light came right back on. So, here I am again. Sitting in the waiting room, doing just that; waiting! 30+ minutes for a ride to get my rental car, they tell me. Did I mention the last bill was well over a thousand smackaroos, not counting the rental car bill? So grateful my company picks up the tab, but I feel genuine sympathy for the poor customers who have to pay these outrageous bills themselves and get their vehicles returned with the issues still in place. My final thoughts on WittMeier in Chico? Me thinketh they sucketh.

Went in to get headlight work done and replace the battery. $1900 (pre tax) of recommended work later, they had the gall to call me up and want to charge even more for the battery. They left a new filter in my passenger seat, telling me it was a cabin air filter, but it's the wrong one for my car! I'm going to another mechanic to get their work double-checked and I'll put the damn battery in myself.

After buying my last few vehicles at a dealership in Oroville, my wife and I were ready to buy a new truck, but could only find the truck that I wanted at Wittmeier Chevy in Chico. The buying process was what is expected, a bunch of negotiating and the dealership trying to add in a bunch of extra cost that I did not want. After taking about 4hrs to make the purchase, and taking delivery the next day, I immediately found a few problems that needed to be addressed. I made an appointment and took the truck in to them a week later for 3 adjustments / repairs. After dropping off the truck, i was told at least 4hrs for the repairs, so I was surprised that after just an hour that I got a call that the truck was ready to be picked up. Once I arrived at the dealership and was given the keys and inspected the following, I first found that my tow hooks had been adjusted. Second, I found that my malfunctioning blinker had not been replaced, because they could not simulate the problem in the shop. Third, I found that my broken cowling had not even been touched. When I showed the technician the cowling problem, he said they would have to order parts, which were on back order, and that they would call me later to set up the repair. A month or so later the parts came in and today I took the truck in to have the cowling replaced. During the repair, my wife and I asked for a shuttle to take us to the mall and to lunch, and was told we would have to wait 30 minutes because the driver had just went to lunch. 1.5 hours later the driver showed up and took us to a restaurant, and 10 minutes later the dealership called and said our truck was done and we could pick it up. After finishing our lunch, we called for the shuttle and returned to the dealership. After getting my keys, I once again inspected the repair, and found that it was still broken, and that they did not order all 3 pieces, and specifically did not order or replace the actual broken part on the passenger side. I again had to show them that it was not fixed, so they ordered parts again, and told me they would give me a call when they came in. Once i drove back home to Oroville, I decided to call the Manager, but was directed to an assistant instead. I was told sorry, and that since it was warranty work, that I could take my business somewhere else if I liked. In closing, Wittmeier Chevy has no quality control, and after making the sale, the management has had no interest in helping me clear things up with them. My cowling and blinker are still broken, I have a paint chip on my door from being transported, that they are denying is their fault. I am a 15 year COMBAT USMC VETERAN that they promised the Chevy Military Rebate to, and never followed through on. I will not make the mistake again of shopping for a vehicle at this dealership, or having any kind of work done. I will stay local, and stick to a small town dealership where they know my name and appreciate my business.

I've been going to Wittmeier for my service for a while now and Mike in service has made me a loyal customer. I had an issue with my cruise that he kept working with me on until it was fixed. It was a hard diagnosis. I am completely satisfied with the work done (completed about a month ago), the price, and it is fixed!! Mike is an asset. I never felt like I was getting the run-around, very professional.....and nice!

Can't go wrong at Wittimiier Chevy. The service is outstanding, Dan is the man, professional, and always knows how to deal with my car.The girls at the desk, greet you with a smile, are pleasant and also very professional.I live in Cottonwood and won't take my car anywhere else. When you get great service and professional experience I'm loyal to a fault.Wittimiier Chevy service in Chico is the best in my book if you want your car worked on. Ask for Dan he'll treat you right and so will the girls.

This place this dealership is an absolute joke! Two salesman, one who completely ghosted us, and the other one who actually yelled at my daughter, told her she was a liar, and that she couldn't talk to the manager because he was too busy. I absolutely do not recommend this dealership to anyone. I have bought many cars in my life and dealt with many dealerships and this was by far the absolute worst experience we have ever had. And then to have the manager of the dealership come in to speak with us and completely disregard the disrespect that was just shown to us by the salesman Ian. The manager was about as much help as the salesmen. None. Steer clear of this dealership!

I went here to find a truck. The salesperson was pushy and shifty. He doubled down on lies when I called him on them. He held me hostage by taking and withholding my potential trade-in's registration and key/fob. I had to get angry and raise my voice in order to get my belongings back and leave. I almost called the police.

I purchased a 2016 Chevy Trax brand new from a dealership that has since closed. The trax had a recall on the air bags. I wanted to give this car to my daughter so I called Whittmeier to see if they could look at it tell me if the recall had been preformed at the dealership I had purchased it at before it had went out of business or it still needed to be done. Over the phone they told me it is a simple reprogram fix. I dropped the car off at 8:45 in the morning. At 2:50 I get a call stating they have an update for me on the trax. Then Jesse the service advisor tells me the update was not preformed because the air bag control module was broken. That he had to pay out of his own pocket to have my car diagnosed. Something I never asked him to do NOR WAS I CONSULTED ON. I get there to pick up my car and he presents me with a 957.55 proposal to replace the air bag control module. The very same thing that had the recall. Fine the update was not able to be done. WHAT IS NOT FINE is when I get in my car to leave the air bag light is now on and flashing. It was not like that when I dropped it off. Also the back seat belt is locked in place and can not be used. The seat belt reminder does not go off all things that worked before I dropped the car off. So now for sure the air bags are not going to work the seat belts don't even work correctly. I should have been given the car back in the same condition I dropped it off in NOT WORSE.

My truck had a def issue while traveling. Stopped for help and was told they wouldn't even look at it until March - even after explaining we were from out of town!

DON'T BUY from Wittmeier!!! They tack on $10,000 to the price of their trucks just because they can. You can drive about 2 hours from here and save 10K. It's sad that they take advantage of the supply and demand problems that are occurring right now. What a way to support your community. Their attitude is that they are the only dealer in the state. I must admit, my frustration with Wittmeier goes back to the late 80's when I tried to buy a truck. I made an appointment to meet with the fleet manager only to be greeted by a young man who knew less about what I was looking for than I did. I knew exactly what the truck was worth and they wouldn't come close. I never did meet with the fleet manager, they kept giving me the run around so I went to Oroville and bought my truck. Fast forward to present. I am in the market for a new truck and was looking at Kelly Blue Book to get an idea of what my present truck is worth. The site allows you to "get an offer" which puts your info out to local dealers. I was quickly contacted by Colton from Wittmeier about the trade in. When I explained I was looking for a new truck, he set up an appointment to meet with him and a manager who would be back from vacation in two days. The day before the appointment Colton calls to confirm. When I showed up for the appointment I was told it was it was Coltons day off. WOW! Nobody knew I was coming. I was shuffled around a bit and eventually had a guy look at my trade-in. He says he would have somebody else call me the next day. The following day I received a call. I told the gentleman I had priced a truck on the COSTCO Auto website and wanted to know if they still had the COSTCO pricing. He explained they didn't but if I came in we could see how close they could get. I agreed to meet but less that 5 minutes later he called back to inform me that he had spoken to somebody higher up and was told they wouldn't come close. That's when I went onto the "Chevy" website and discovered their 10K add on. WHAT A RIP OFF. They are no better than online scammers.

Went in for my truck. The gas filler was leaking causing an engine code issue. The truck is 3 years old so it wasn't under warranty. This is not the issue it's just the people at this place doing everything that they can to not help you. Horrible people skills here. Corning Ford is the way to go.

I tried to buy a vehicle - for the 2nd or 3rd time over the past 15 years or so - but was quickly reminded that Wittmeier thinks that they are the only dealership in the universe, there is no competition, and thus they can sell cars for whatever price they want. Plus, apparently there is no "internet" for comparison shopping in Wittmeier Land. I was looking at a 2020 Chevy in early 2021, so I was expecting that they would be anxious to move this "leftover" vehicle at a heavily-discounted price. The MSRP sticker price was about $35,000, but several dealers in Sacramento had identical 2020 models on their lots with ADVERTISED prices of about $25,000. And many of the Sacramento dealers seemed eager to further discount that $25,000 price to move this old inventory. I was nearly certain that I could get this vehicle for well under $25,000 if I would drive to Sacramento. However, I normally go out of my way to shop locally. So, I visited Wittmeier here in Chico (and about 1967, I think) and asked if they could match ANY of the Sacramento dealers' prices. I wasn't asking them to do anything beyond that; just match any of these 3-4 advertised, in-writing prices, and I'll gladly buy. Instead of directly saying "No", they gave me all the classic, total b******* lines to sell the car, including "The benefit from buying from us is the post-sale service." So, if I pay $10,000 more than Sacramento prices you'll help me set the stations on the radio or something? I wasted a couple of hours over a few days before I remembered that Wittmeier is, somehow, under the impression that they have a monopoly on Chevrolets and Hondas. Silly me. After walking away from Wittmeier-in-the-1960s, I spent a couple of hours texting/emailing/calling the 3-4 Sacramento Chevy dealers. About a week later I had the car - DELIVERED to me from Sacramento at NO charge! - for about $22,000.

Just do not go there. Just don't. I had my suburban "fixed" there in an accident. Had full coverage insurance. The body work was great. I thought they did a good job just looking at that. They got almost $10,000, returned it to me with the wheel pulling TERRIBLY to the side, the engine light on and it now won't pass smog. I am still paying this car off and it won't pass smog. They claimed they aligned it and took no responsibility for any of the other stuff. Then when we opened up the hood we found broken and missing parts on the engine, including parts of the transmission that were in the path of the crash. They claimed it wasn't them, so either they broke it and won't fess up or they didn't even check. I just bought it less than two years ago and the engine was beautiful upon inspection. Clearly this was due to the accident and their work. I only gave one star to make a comment. If I could give zero I would. We went elsewhere to fix it. I was told by other angry customers that their mechanics stated "We get lot's of business by fixing their mistakes". NEVER EVER AGAIN! I have a recall to fix and I am going out of town to have it done.

The office lady there was really nice! My beef isn’t with the people. My problem is that they have audacity to charge people for something you can do right at home. If you lost your key code for your door check YouTube. Do throw your money down the drain.
