Extremely rude staff. Will never use this pharmacy again

I have been a customer of this Walgreens for more than a decade. They have always had customer service issues—unnecessary delays, lack of communication, mistakes around insurance, erroneous overcharging, and rude comments—but I continued to use them because they were the only game in town open 24 hours a day. Things seem to have gotten significantly worse since they were supposedly embroiled in an opioid scandal a few years ago, although really COVID is what stripped this location of any pretense of caring about customers. They have had a revolving door of pharmacy techs, many of whom appear to be either incredibly paranoid of getting pulled into another scandal or just enjoy the illusion of power in arbitrarily denying people the medications prescribed to them.
In my case, the pharmacy tech refused to fill my script for Adderall because SHE felt that the dose was too high, despite it being a medication I’ve been taking at the same dose prescribed by the same provider and filled at that same location since 2017. She implied I was a drug seeker, and when I got upset, went off into some bizarre tirade which focused on how people are dying. I had to have my doctor call in to affirm the validity of the script (his medical assistant called first, speaking to the same tech who again implied I was a drug seeker and went off on the same tangent about how people are dying elsewhere) and still this tech would not give me my medication. I decided to call the manager over that one, and he insisted that it didn’t matter because Adderall were in stock anyway.
And still, I put up with this, even as their techs are so abrasive they don’t ask to put you on hold; they just do it. Last week I went to pick up an antibiotic and was told that although it was ready, they couldn’t give it to me because the pharmacist was on his break and I couldn’t opt out of the consult. I came back half an hour later, as instructed, and waited another 10 minutes before driving into the pick-up line. When I got to the window a different tech told me that the pharmacist hadn’t returned from their lunch yet and that I’d have to wait another half an hour “until 1:30, like the sign says.” I pointed out that it was 1:42 and she didn’t even acknowledge it. I was so angry I called the other Walgreens and within 20 minutes I had my antibiotics.
Then, fast forward to today. I took my daughter to the doctor and she has an awful case of strep throat. She is completely inconsolable, crying nonstop because she just wants to feel better. It took them FOUR hours to fill liquid amoxicillin. They refused to even give a reason why. They’re just completely unmotivated to provide expeditious resolution. I’m completely fed up and moving all of my prescriptions to a different pharmacy entirely.

My mom Teresa passed :( I had a gift project to make. There's was a Acrylic block gift to give to the family on the day of the viewing and funeral. It was a large order. Walgreens manager went all over town to get the Acrylic blocks and even to Oroville to complete my order. They call me when the letters where to small and cannot see them. They call me again to fix another problem. The stuff was so nice and helpful. Thank you everyone that help me get my beautiful mom in this time of sorrow and make it right. On top of everything I got 50% OFF. Thanks husband for paying for this beautiful gift

I use Walgreens for their photo service for years. They have fast service for photos when you need them within an hour. I made Christmas cards online and within an hour, I got an email notice it was ready. The cards came out great! Sometimes, they have promo codes for pics. The cost is even better!

I don't understand how an employee thinks that it is OK to ignore the customer. I'm sitting there checking out I say hi, how are you? Thank you have a good day. He never once replied, just ignored me. It was so rude and so very uncomfortable. And even after I said thank you. And he didn't say anything. I looked at him like excuse me, Hello, I'm here. I'm just so tired of some of these employees.And I know tons of people that are looking for jobs. So I don't understand the excuse of these companies hiring These rude incompetent employees.The only employee in here this morning that was friendly and helped me was one of the female employees that was in the back stocking female products. I just feel that if you're going to be working at 6 in the morning. You should have an employee that's going to be friendly. Somebody that is willing to help customers instead of what they had in there. This morning checking people out. I'm just beyond disgusted with his attitude. When I was very pleasant, tried talking and was met with just somebody that ignored me.

Pharmacy tech was rude and asked unnecessary questions. My Rx was sent there at roughly 7pm, I arrived at 8:41 pm and she told me it was for tomorrow morning. I told her no way it was sent tonight, she proceeded to ask if I needed tonight. (Seriously? Why would I come at nearly 9pm if I didn't need the Rx tonight?) I asked why it was set for tomorrow morning and she replied "I asked if you need it tonight?" Get out of here! If you hate your job leave it please, because you are doing a disservice to all of us. You hating your job equals a miserable experience for all of us. Her attitude was horrible.

Didn’t answer the phone for 20 minutes in the pharmacy. Put me on hold twice. Answered the phone but left it on the counter so I heard everything about another customer’s medications. Pretty sure that violates hipaa. They forgot I was on hold. 30 total minutes after I called I spoke to someone. Really an awful experience

Frequently out of stock or under stocked on sale items in the retail store. For example, sale price applies to purchase for 2 or more items, but there are not enough on the shelf to qualify....or they're out. The pharmacy is okay and staff seems qualified, but occasionally under staffed. Sadly, I find this to be the case at most retail pharmacies.

I'm happy to say that even though this didn't end exactly how we were hoping it would, this company and especially the managers at this store on East ave in Chico did show amazing customer service and follow up to get our issue resolved. They showed perfect customer service and professionalism, repeatedly reached out to us to start a dialogue and came to a quick solution. Thankyou Steve and Sarah (apologies if I got the names wrong)

Nobody ever at the register when you want to check out. The lady in the picture was talking to a fellow employee and watched us stand at the checkout counter for about 7 minutes until she finished her conversation and laughing together. She finally decided to come over and help us. Sad….
