I swear it seems like anytime I get cash from this bank the bills are always bad. The $100’s bills I receive here will not deposit at another bank

Definitely would not recommend this bank, unorganized and lots of ridiculous steps to cash a small check issued by them. Also charge an $8 fee to cash the same check, again the check issued by them. Take your business elsewhere!

I used to LOVE my bank! Everyone was so helpful and seemly happy to see and help me. However, it is no longer a pleasant experience to bank at this branch. I came into the bank to handle my in person banking. The actual bank manager (who USED to be kind, and extremely helpful ) actually looked right at me and told me "You are going to have to go online for that" from across the room. I walked out, 3rd time in a row visiting the bank, for the same needed transaction, with no help. I now only use the ATM machine outside of the bank for deposits. I no longer feel valued, wanted or comfortable at the Chico branch after over 13 years of being a loyal customer. I now have to drive to Los Molinos to do my in person banking. The best chance this branch has to keep loyal customers, as well as acquire new ones, is to have Tara as a bank manager. She goes Above and beyond to handle customer banking needs. Her customer service is second to none! Her respect of co-workers, as well as her customers needs are exceptional! She has made it her business to know me, as well as my customer needs..... I don't even own a computer (Tara knows this) She never would have told me "you are going to have to go online for that." Tara is such a blessing to customers, as well as a true asset to this branch. She would Not tolerate such poor customer service.

Took forever to come up to the drive thru. She saw us and walked away and I waited 20 minutes for no one to say I'll take a bit to come back to you or anything.

The bank staff has always been fantastic. My problem is online banking and the 28 page (Printed) End User License agreement you have to agree to before accessing your account on line. Virtually impossible to read on a phone and to take an hour to read it is absurd. Umpqua knows full well very few people will take the time to read that document and buried somewhere on page 8 it says they can change their terms pretty much at will. What is the point? Umpqua could just say in the first sentence "We may change any term of this Agreement at any time" as they do on page 8 and be done with it.

My expierience when I signed up was TERRIBLE a few years ago. He gave me a lecture because I wasn't going to college at that time, treated me like I was a ditsy girl, signed me up for an account but didn't give me any paperwork on my account, I asked for it repeatedly but he would just wander off and come back with nothing, I eventually just left, I had no idea even what my account and PIN numbers were upon leaving that day, and even though I said repeatedly while signing up that I wanted my main phone number to be my home phone he insisted on me also giving my mobile but the home number would take precedence, and I just found out that he listed my mobile as the main and all this time my security access codes and messages from umpqua have been going to that number, a tracfone number that I no longer have and which is being reused by someone else in the world. The tellers are very nice there, but thanks to that arrogant know-it-all who signed me up some random person elsewhere in the world has access to my accounts and personal information.
