The worst gas I've ever put in my vehicle. Burned 3x faster than any other fuel I've put in, bogged my engine down. Ended up siphoning it all out so it didn't ruin my motor, total waste of $115. And come to find out, I'm not the only one this has happened to at this exact location.

I LOVE this gas station..G is always fun to speak with and Mandy is amazing!! They have great snacks and drinks.. the other staff are friendly too!!

Luckily Chico has many other options. Prices can be prices at a gas station, but here it is more than triple! Plus, I keep hearing about them being fraud with their EBT transactions. On top of it all. The staff is horrendous. Owner is never helpful. Other dude will only give you decent customer service if your a female. Which is creepy and you will probably hear sexual assault allegations on him soon. Even worse, other reviews seem to be on the same page. The blonde employee (Mandy, I think) is more than evil and rude. She literally talks bad about her customers to OTHER customers. I've seen her scream at people or treat others like she is dating them. She acts as if she has multiple personalities. Definitely would not trust this one. Avoiding this place or the people inside is the best advice you can read all day.

BAIT AND SWITCH! Shell Gas Station 2230 Esplanade Chico November 17, 2021 4PM If this review had a zero stars rating I would post it with Zero Stars! I walked in to buy a padlock and a few drinks. I am a regular customer, disabled, and in my 50's, live locally and needed a padlock to lock my gate at my house. There was a woman clerk running the register. It was about 4PM. I walked over to the isle where the padlocks were and noticed that a set of them were hung up on a blank peg with no description and one of the locks had a sticker on it that read $8.99, so I picked it up and then what caught my eye was another peg with the description of the padlock that was hanging on it that said $2.99 on the actual peg with the description of the product. The lock package however, had nothing on it, both packages were identical. I turned over the packaging and the UPC and serial numbers matched the one that said $2.99 so being confused, I asked a question to the clerk. I said there are two prices for this padlock, is it $8.99 or $2.99? She told me to hand one to her to check the price. It rang up as $8.99. I said there is a peg that says $2.99, can I get it for the $2.99 price? Showing her the peg that read $2.99. She said absolutely not in a stern voice. I said well the serial numbers match do you think the rest were just hung in the wrong spot and the wrong price was put on them? She said it's $8.99 taking the lock away from me and setting it on the register near her. So I put the peg back that had the $2.99 and the padlock back that had no price tag on it and placed it back in the spot were it read $2.99 and snapped a photo so I could look up the product when I got home to see what they are actually selling for. She cried out in shock you're taking a PICTURE!! I said yes so I can look up the price that it sells for, I was honest. Then I walked over grabbed some drinks and said okay I'll take the padlock and these drinks. She said to me you are making me uncomfortable, you will have to come back and talk to the manager. I said to her I'll buy it at the $8.99 price I just need a lock for my house. She said in an angry voice, I'm not comfortable with selling you anything at all you were arguing with me about the price and I'm asking you to leave now. I said I'm sorry I made you feel uncomfortable, I'm just trying to buy a lock for my house I'll pay the $8.99 price it's no big deal. She said no! leave! After saying that, I left the drinks on the counter and walked out. I felt very used, I don't think I deserve her manner or tone towards me. I didn't think I did anything wrong or why she escalated the incident at all. I was right to ask a question and ask if I could get the price that was marked for the product. I think as a customer it's within my rights to do that. I think this is fraud, bait and switch and they were shocked that they were caught. There was another customer in the store at the time that saw the whole thing waiting in line. I was talking calmly the whole time but the clerk at the register was very angry with me and I could not figure out why. I feel cheated, confused and disrespected, that I was treated this way. I'm a regular customer and had no problems with this store up until now. I do think they are intentionally trying to cheat their customers by jacking up the prices, I only think that because of her response. If were an honest mistake she would have honored the $2.99 price. This is clearly bait and switch. I'm posting this review so others know about what is happening before they defraud other customers as well. This is extremely poor customer service in my opinion and should never happen to other customers. I'm sorry but I will not shop there again, one because of how I was treated in front of customers, and two because I'm not allowed to buy anything from the store now. I have no choice but to post this review everywhere and let everyone else know what is happening in this store and how they actually treat their custom

Been here a few times. The store is way over priced and the customer service is "not the biznezz"! I had gone in a few times and there is a women who is apperantly not a good person. She is rude to the women who shop there and hits on almost every man who comes in. Was in one evening and a women came in and confronted her about hitting on her husband. The manager allowed this clerk to spew profanity as well as call the female customer every dirty name in the book. Ghetto and drama. Wow! If you want to pay to see Jerry Springer live. Shop here. Lol!

The younger indian dude was very rude and disrespectful said I stole from him I just came in to purchase milk and gas I emptied out my pockets to show him and he still didn't believe me asked me what I did with the bottle he ended up throwing a soda bottle at my head told me to never come back.that guy has no business working customer service

Worst gas station EVER! Extremely overpriced and the dude who works at the counter is disgusting and RUDE! He clearly needs a girlfriend or to get laid or something, he's obviously unhappy with his life long career of being a gas station clerk in what appears to be his parent's store. Even without his gross rude comments and argumentative bs, everything in the store is wayyyy overpriced. Like 3.50$ for a little Starbucks double shot. Come on! There's several other gas stations/convenience stores nearby that are better than this one!

Called to ask a question about a certain credit card and couldn't understand a word he was saying, I was being very polite also. I had to ask 3 different times the same question because he did not understand my simple question.
HE HUNG UP ON ME....
Well I won't go there to get my gas or anything else.
