I had direct deposit from my employer for years and never had a hitch. However, I never needed a loan from them and I never use ATMs--theirs or anybody else's. And I finally decided to grow up and start adulting. I read the bad reviews on this site and I'm weird like that, it made me actually want to go in and see for myself how bad it was. No I am sure other people have definitely had less than perfect service. I believe what they say. However, when I went in there the lady who helped me was very pleasant. We struck up a nice conversation about our local town and some of the problems we see within and some of the cool things that we like about it. All during that time I opened my first checking account that I have had in probably 15 16 years. The process was super easy, everything was explained to me pretty well. Overall I would have to say I do not have any complaints about this Branch. They were super busy but they made me feel like I was the only person there. Everybody had a smile and was very kind to me. I look forward to banking here. I have a few of my close friends who do currently Bank there and have for years and they have always given it a positive review to me. When I was in charge of my organization's finances over a two year period, I had frequented this branch several times a week. It's located in a central part of town right between downtown, the CSUC campus, and Mangrove shopping. Parking is excellent, very ample and well-maintained with a guard on duty. The interior is large and clean, with several staff working at a time. I never got the impression that this place was short-staffed. I was a fan of their instant coffee machine and utilized it often. The service here is wonderful, with both the tellers and the bankers always giving me a friendly "hello." They were competent and easy to work with, and I feel that they put in an effort to make me feel valued as a customer - even though I was merely some fraternity kid. I had total peace of mind knowing that our organization's finances were safe with this institution and would come back here if I was ever affiliated with Wells Fargo in the future.”
“I was the first depositor at Golden Valley Bank, back in 2006, and I have never had such a careful and well-rounded experience in my long experience with financial institutions. Over these many, many years the staff at every level has always recognized me, known whom to consult for any questions I might have, and shown an awareness that being prompt and thorough in customer relations pays back huge dividends in trust. I also note that, three times a year or so, big parties that Golden Valley Bank throws for customers have been pretty good too, friendly and fun, outdoors on the grass with lots of good food.”
“Tellers are all great but the manager spent a good 15 minutes giving me the hard sell to switch service while I repeatedly told him I am not interested & in a hurry. He would not listen. I was getting coin rolls, I didn't want to be in there for 20 minutes talking to this guy.”

“We have banked with Golden 1 since 2008 when we opened our account while living in Sacramento. We have always have had great service at any branch or when calling into the customer service line. The only issue I have with this branch is the lack of parking, which can be challenging. It would be great if there was another ATM locally or network ATM that we could use without incurring fees. Everyone within the branch has consistently been friendly and professional.”

“I went in to cash a check and I noticed a flyer out for long term CDs. Sat down with Eddie and ended up getting a whole bunch of stuff figured out that reduced my mortgage by $200/month. I work 50-60 hours per week. So I’m super busy. Eddie was super patient with me. He did the perfect amount of follow up. I never felt pressured. And his attitude was contagious. He genuinely cares! Give that man a raise!”
