My boyfriend and I went into their store at Chico mall today, we were not acknowledged or helped while standing right in front of them. It was like we weren’t there and we’re a fairly young couple but pretty well off, so we took our business to Devons Jewelers. The energy and customer service was amazing, so much better than Kay.

My name is Arthur, this was my first time buying a diamond ring and Miss Stacey at the Chico Mall location was so helpful and very informative as I know nothing of the diamond industry. She helped me make a wonderful selection and she was so courteous and kind! Thank you Stacey!!!!

I recently had dealt with a situation that left me trouble but with some persistence and thorough work done by the people at the local store everything was resolved and they did something very kind and awesome for my son and me so I appreciate it and it definitely makes the situation that was going on no more and everything had been resolved very quickly. I'm thankful for the local workers here they are very helpful and kind hearted. And am sorry that the unfortunate stuff that happened happened but am very glad every thing has been worked out. Thank you to the local staff for helping me solve this problem and doing such a kind thing for us. Store still has my buisness and is still the only jewelry store I go to. Thank you kay jewelers Chico.

Originally using Kay's I had amazing help from Angelique. She helped me purchase a great ring exactly what I wanted. After purchasing Kay's canceled my order and did not notify me claimed there was a mistake with the loan I was approved for with them. I had to return to Kay's to reorder the ring, original price was different from the second order by almost 3K store was able to give discounts but did not match original. Store manager did not want to hold the original price which became a argument back and forth with several trips back to the store. Finally I received the engagement ring which was a little to big for my fiancé's finger. Upon returning the ring to get resized we were notified it would be about 2 weeks before the ring would be ready for pick up. Two and a half weeks later I got a call from Kay's saying the item was lost and or stolen in the mail that they had found out the week before but hadn't notified me. What was strange was my fiancé was in the store the week prior and they were rude to her when she asked if her ring was back and told her it was just sent out the day prior. After dealing with this whole headache we returned the ring and went to a different dealer. Even the return process was a pain I returned to the store to start the return process. The store manager could not start return the item due to lack of knowledge how. Return process took three days, on the third day I called the store to see what the status of the return was the store manager response was "I didn't return the item yet I figured you would change your mind."Glad my experience is done with Kay's and I won't be doing any in the future. If you do go to the store highly recommend having Angelique help you she does a amazing job and doesn't pressure you into anything very customer friendly.

I’ve bought several pieces of jewelry and watches from these people over the last couple of years. Always very helpful and friendly. They have competitive prices and they warranty everything. You can also always bring anything back for a free cleaning.

I bought my wife a foreverus engagement ring. They had to size it down to fit. On the website you can only go to size 5.5. So we had to size it down a second time after it got to the store. When they size down your ring, they keep the extra gold that they take off and do not tell you, discount you nor credit you for that. I said that is theft and I would like the gold I purchased. They gave me the gold from the secondary size down. I had to remind them that there was more gold that I paid for. The MANAGER Maria acted like a teenage girl and made faces and kept saying that she has never been asked this before and she doesn’t understand. She was very unpleasant and down right combative with me. I asked her to stop making faces at me and I didn’t care who asked for their gold back or not. I wanted the gold I paid for. She flagged down some guy JACOB who was not a manager to help her. He told me that “you will get what we give you and that is it.” I told him I will be leaving a review and he told me to bring it on. He told me that they don’t want my business and if I come back I will not be welcome. I told him “you think I would come back?” He said we don’t want your business. I said yes you do. I said “I won’t be back.” He said “We won’t miss you.” I said “What did you say?” And he said “have a nice day. If you don’t leave we will call security.” I said no you don’t need to. Then I left. I called customer care and created a complaint ticket with a detailed description of this event. Waiting for a manager to call me and have been assured I will be allowed back in the store and my business is wanted. I was credited $50 for the inconvenience and Nina from customer care was 10/10 excellent.Horrible store manager. Jacob tried to provoke a fight with me and is a liability to your company. I hope you take this complaint seriously because I have lost all faith in this franchise. I just spent 5,000 on a chain at JCPenny’s and wanted to try Kay’s to get my wife something and I see I should have stuck with JCPenney’s.

Came in at 7:30 p.m. and they were already closed! they were Supposed to be open until 8 but another store in the mall said they Kay jewlers closed quite awhile ago.. so nice when I drive an hour away from red bluff to realize some lazy asshat decided to close early! Does anyone have proper work ethic anymore?
