Most of the staff have zero customer service skills alot of them seem to not like their jobs. A handful of them are awesome, though. The assistant store manager, though I would recommend avoiding her she is very rude.

Only one out of five times they will have the free item they sponsor on the app available to get there and half the time their discounts and coupons don't work and you have to get somebody to ring it up

I'd like to share some feedback about my recent experiences at your grocery store. Firstly, there's a pricing discrepancy between displayed and checkout prices, so I suggest customers double-check their receipts for accuracy. Secondly, I encountered inconsistencies and rudeness when inquiring about prices, which detracts from the shopping experience. Additionally, the parking area outside this store is a safety concern for several reasons. Lastly, I find it concerning that inexpensive liquor is prominently displayed at the checkout, especially alongside candy for children. This seems like an inappropriate mix of products. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience. Thank you for considering these suggestions.

Whats the price of the elephant garlic?!!!!!
I was just on the phone with my daughter who was shopping at the Chico Food Max When she found a great deal on some garlic two for a dollar. The Checker who is in the photo, told her it wasn’t and the argument Ensued. Why an employee at the Food Max is arguing with any customer I have no idea? She was full of excuses and no prices. This woman decided to argue and not give professional customer service , all my daughter wanted was the price of the elephant garlic, and as you can see in the photo that I’ve supplied there is no price tag. The woman in the photo could have easily scanned to the garlic, called the produce manager, called the store manager, if she had a problem with pricing, but no, she did not.
My daughter is a disabled veteran. And so this woman’s aggressive behavior, yes, it was. I was on the phone with her. I heard it all. This woman’s aggressive behavior and inability to navigate what customer service is supposed to be has caused my daughter to not want to shop at your store anymore. I don’t know?, that seems counterproductive to business. Employees who are supposed to be trained to know what they’re selling are so combative they can’t even think straight when asked a question about pricing on the produce? Just give an accurate price of your produce ma’am. Find a way!!
My daughter took these pictures and when she did, the woman pictured threatened to call the police on my daughter!!
I remember back in the 80s when we had to memorize the prices of the produce and the produce. I’m shocked that this woman gets paid by Food Max to treat customers like this? The manager was there, and did nothing but walk away? I thought it might need to be on the Internet, so Food Max can get a proper review of their customer service so everyone can see.
I would like an apology for my daughter. She did nothing wrong, except asked for the price of the elephant garlic of which she was told was a bunch of prices, until the employee landed on $1.99? and we don’t know if that’s really the price. So my daughter just left.
It’s not good business to trigger people. I just wonder how many others this woman has accosted with her toxic shock attitude?
Please Food Max Do something. Don’t let Chico down.
Be kind of veterans. Don’t take out your freedom on those who fought for it. ?
I’m very upset and I can only imagine how upset my daughter is. It’s just not right.
