Very strange that they make you pay a non refundable $79 in order to even try to schedule an appointment.

I took our new kitten to this place and had the worst experience. Not only did they insist on revaccinating my cat due to county law, but they also wouldn’t refund my $78 for the first visit since I decided to go elsewhere after they tried to do that. They didn’t inform me ahead of time that it’s a law requiring a rabies shot - I could have waited and provided paperwork. Definitely taking my cat elsewhere and will be warning other pet owners not to waste their money here. The staff was completely rude and showed no willingness to keep us as clients. Thanks for stealing my money Erickson vet!
*****IN RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE*****This should have been addressed through a phone call. Most people, especially those trying to get their new kitten seen urgently, don’t comb through emails in detail. But what really made me decide to go elsewhere was your lack of effort to resolve the issue. Your response to my review only reinforces how rude your staff has been. This clearly isn't the first time this has happened. Do better.

When Erickson was the true Erickson things were great. Every since they sold business to the new people the place has become worthless.
First - we had over 20 years of our dogs bloodline files that the new owner destroyed without giving us a choice to have them or destroy them.
2nd . Erickson has always been the one who puts our dogs down when needed to. The new owners want to charge us for visit and evaluation of life before they decide if she needs to be put down. I make that choice NOT them. She is 15 yrs old hasn't ate in 3 Days, has lost all her weight. Has kidney failure. They can't even give me estimate on any of the cost and cremation.

Had a terrible experience there, tiny waiting room and construction going on for months. Had a grouchy old lady that was in the waiting room and freaked out because my Rottweiler sniffed her little dog. Which he is very friendly and would never hurt a little or big dog. I had to be put in a separate waiting room because of the old lady freaking out. They should have put her elsewhere not me

The staff here are absolutely lovely. Never once have I been anxious for my pets to be seen by the tremendous team at Erickson Veterinary Hospital.

Not trustworthy - called on a Friday to see about medication but they needed to see her before they issue more - that’s fine - but then they said just come in around 1 if you can and they can try to see her - called on Monday and got an actual appointment- went through everything and upon checking out I got charged a $50 cancellation fee - even though I had no appointment on Friday! Terrible customer service and experience- I will never recommend business here!

They were afraid of my Rottweiler from the time she was a puppy. Wanted to have me drug her up to be brought in. I’m headed elsewhere.

Took our Riverdog in for his shots and a checkup. He had overdone it this past weekend and was having a hard time getting around.
They got us in a little earlier than the appointment time. They gave our boy a thorough checkup, even with him trying everything he could to squirm away from them. The staff is patient, carrying, and knowledgeable, and it shows with the care they give our pets. I highly recommend Erickson!

Miscommunication starting at the very beginning of the appointment. It was unclear how and where to check in. Once a staff member came over, said that the appointment was cancelled on their end, claiming that pre-payment was never received. Luckily, we had screenshots on our phone of the payment being processed with the date and time. Our appointment slot was therefore taken by another client so they had us come back later in the day.
Waited over 30 min to be seen at new appointment time. The doctor didn’t look at patients ears during examination in the room despite it being one of the concerns (had to remind them). Results from diagnostics were not given/explained after they were performed (had to ask) and assistant was also not aware despite already going over cost of medications.
Also filled out a bunch of paperwork beforehand that was deemed necessary over email but was not looked over by any staff member throughout the entire appointment. Instead staff asked all the same questions in person and said they would “scan the papers in.”

Had to take in my 22 year old car to be euthanized this week. It cost about $550 for the euthanasia, and private cremation. Steep, but whatever, it is what it is. But the icing on the cake was that they “had” to do a Wellness Exam on him to determine whether euthanasia was necessary. Something about because it had been over a year since they’d seen him (He’s 22 and wasn’t expected to last a year). In the last 7 days his body had given up on him, couldn’t walk, control bodily functions, etc. we knew he needed to be euthanized, anyone with ANY knowledge could look at him and know. But they insisted on an Exam and guess what? The $80 Exam Fee gets added to the bill of course. Gouging Hurting Families is the name of the game here. Take your pets elsewhere.
