I have been going to Auto Stop for over a decade now - ever since I moved to Chico and gave up bicycling everywhere and bought a used car back in 2006. I'm on my 2nd used car now, and I totally trust John. He always gets the cars repaired perfectly - no extra sales jobs. Today they replaced a brake light cover and made sure my '96 Toyota Camry was ready in all ways for a road trip to Berkeley. I always tell friends and anyone who asks - this is the best place for your auto repairs. 5 stars, people!

Just like all the rest of the automotive shops quoted One price and went to pick up my vehicle and it was higher than they quoted I don't know how these shops get away with that they all do it I do appreciate though that the work was done good

I had been putting off a noise my brakes were making for a while in fear that it was going to cost me an arm an a leg. A friend referred me to Jon's Auto Stop and said they were really friendly. I took my car in in the morning before they opened. (They have a mail slot to put your keys through) Its a little shop near the bowling alley. They called me and let me know they found what the issue was. I was missing some hardware for the brake system. Instead of just telling me to get new brakes and rotors they said that I still had about 50% left and don't really need to replace them yet. They fixed the brake issue and said I could come back once the brakes wear a little more. I thought this was really nice and honest because another shop probably would have just said to replace everything. I will recommend this shop to my friends!

I have taken my Subarus to John and Robert for years.They are both very honest and professional and won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need.They also stand behind their work, if you notice something needs a little readjustment after a repair from them they will go in and do it free of charge from what I’ve seen.Which is rare considering most other mechanics will try to charge you for another hour of labor or some other part you don’t need.They are also very prompt and realistic with their timelines regarding how long a repair is going to take.Overall, a great shop that I will continue to recommend for many years to come.Services: Tires

I recently moved to the area and as we all know, it’s hard to find a trustworthy and reasonably priced auto shop. Someone recommended them to me and I’m so happy they did! Jon is honest and very knowledgeable. He goes out of his way to find the least expensive parts and gets the job done. 5/5 experience. I definitely recommend them!

If you want an honest mechanic you can trust this shop. I went to a well known place in Sacramento and was quoted over $7,000.00 brought here for a 2nd opinion and told that work did not need to be done and only charged me $60.00. I have been coming here for over 24 years. Jon and Robert are really honest guys who are conservative mechanics and only charge you for work that really needs to be done. I am willing to drive 2 hours to bring my cars back to Chico.

My Jeep sat for 3 months because of the prices from other automotive shops, but John at Auto stop was wonderful from the prices to the work I'm extremely happy!!!
