We are new to Rv-ing. We want to give a huge Thank you Bailey, Tom, and Thomas. You folks were very helpful. I needed some more blocks to get level. Tom went and brought some over to use. Bailey was going to let us borrow an 30ft extension cord. Turned out we didn’t need it. Thomas helped us to level the 5th wheel. I recommend this place. Very clean all the way around. We stayed in space 62 10-27 / 10-29 2023

They no longer take money or credit at the check-in . you have to do it all online to reserve your space or to get a space here at North Shore Campground. it is a token shower, and they are nicely heated rooms, and you can even get a camp spot right on the water.they have playground for the kids. With a boat launch.Food & drinks: They do have a little like mini store there at North Shore Campground as wellPlayground: By where you come in there is a little playground for kids to play on bars and swingsDog-friendliness: Dog Friendly Campground, you don't keep getting charged

4 ⭐️for convenienceNo Wi-Fi but good cell service. Half of the sites are long term seasonal folks who clearly make it their home away…Convenient for Lassen Nat Park 45 minutes away.Only one bathhouse which has seen better days.Very dark at night.

This is a great place to camp. Be prepared for a lot of people on weekends. There are many campers, but the tent sites are next to the water. Also, expect calm mornings and windy afternoons.

What an absolutely horrible business. We showed up before the other people in our group & were not allowed in because they were the ones who booked the site. The red head assistant manager was immediately unfriendly & unhelpful. The person in our group who made the reservation called them directly to vouch for us. We had to ask to speak to the manager, Peg, who was also immediately unfriendly. They still wouldn't let us in. They said it is their policy to not let anyone in until the person who booked the site is physically on the premises. Absolutely nowhere on their website or in their posted policy does it state such an absurd rule. They wouldn't even let them add our names to the list as guests & tried to compare it to a hotel! This is a campground- not a hotel... & yes, you can check in as a guest at hotels without the person who booked it if they put your name on the reservation.

I will start out with the pros: Gorgeous view of Lake Almanor. Cons: Majority of sites are extremely unlevel. You're booked into a site with very little consideration of the size of your RV.We have a 35ft. 5th wheel, and were given site 11. Do NOT book that site. There's many trees with low lying or dead branches which made it awful trying to get out as well. Our site was on a steep hill and would not have been able to get out without 4 wheel drive. Very powdery dirt. Too many steep hills for safe bike riding for kids. We left a day early just so we could maneuver getting out of our site(using the empty site across from us). There is a guy who will come and dump your tanks at your site. He was real nice. The gal in the office was like dealing with a robot.

This place is soon becoming a family traditional getaway. From the beautiful scenery that surrounds the campsite, to the little convenient store, the playground & even the tiniest of libraries (yes, you read right - a library ) on site. Enjoy fishing? There is from catfish to trout & even bass. Also theres no shorthand of wild life. It's just an amazing, pacific atmosphere. It is well maintained & very clean. The staff is friendly as well. If & when you want to cut loose, give it a try.

My Husband was sent to work in the area in a short notice so as full-time rver's we came into town thinking it'd be easy to get a spot for a month or two well we quickly found that not to be the case. I called and was able to book a couple nights and eventually with some thoughtful planning on their website was able to book sites even if we had to move around the park it was better then nothing.Peggy and her staff are absolutely amazing. The bathrooms and sites are spotless as well as the rest of the park.We love it here and even if my Husband isn't working in the area next year we fully plan to spend part of summer here next year.Noteworthy details: Peggy is awesome and definitely takes pride in customer service, the park and her team.

I've stayed at many places on this lake and this was my first time at this campground. We tent camped right on the lake. Pros- great view cons - the campground has made zero effort in clearing the brush so you can better see the lake. I also had family that had their motorhome in the campground; it was the most narrow site wedged between two of the main dirt roads. The part of this campground that was the worst for me was the showers are token showers (it's cheap enough to have a coin based shower but then to make it a token one? Awful.) We tried to use the token based showers... The machine that converts cash into tokens wouldn't take any of our cash. So we didn't take a shower but what I did see was one token gives you -2 minutes of shower time. There is a pin to use the bathroom and I definitely forgot it most of the time which was annoying. I know what you're thinking-the campground has nice security right? Well there is a security gate to get into the place so it's pretty gross that the people they're inconveniencing are the ones that are staying there. Lastly I reserved a space with my sister and we were anticipating originally that I would get there first. Plans changed and she ended up getting there before me ... Well we called and emailed and the first response was she couldn't check in if I wasn't there (same last name and it's a patch of dirt) then after revealing our circumstances they made it really clear they will never do this for us again but allowed it this one time. Not sure how many times other people hijack a tent site with the same last name but based on how resistant they seemed to want to help made it easy for me to never want to stay there again.

Outstanding campground. Big flat sites. I could fit 4 tents. Nice people manage the property. Easy to book. Can't wait to come back... And I'm still here!

I’ve been to the Adirondacks in NY to the Appalachian in NC, and the Rockies, but the people in the Sierra and especially here are bitter and unfriendly. Like they resent that you are here. Better Sierra alpine locations over this. It’s easy, it’s lake front, but that’s it.

This campground was one of the most beautiful we've been to. The views are amazing, the facilities are awesome, and the staff by far is the best I've come across. Bailey at the office (store) was just the sweetest, most friendly girl ever. We went into the store every day and she was always so nice. On the second day, my son cut his finger open pretty badly. We mentioned it to her and she immediately helped us get it covered and dressed with her emergency first aid kit. Honestly we don't know what we would've done without her. We plan to stay there every year, maybe a few times a year.
