“I knew this place because I always pass it on the way to work. I always see that they have a lot of rental truck on the parking lot. When it was time for me to move, I came to this place to rent a U-haul. Little did I know that you need to do a reservation. Jeez. I learned my lesson. So I have to scramble and check out other places. This U-Haul rent dolly and storage as well. They sell boxes, tapes, and pad locks. Owner is nice as well as the employees. They give out informations on other U- haul locations. If you need help with moving your stuff, there are people milling on the street that you can pay hourly or by contract.”

“Rented out a trailer from here (no insurance our fault) some damages where caused on the trailer and we knew we where reliable for them, but the pricing was crazy and we didn’t understand a few things. Long story short, I spoke with the manager Hairo (by the way great customer service) and he made everything very clear and really helped me out! He was able to meet us to a great agreement and most of all was extremely helpful and patient with us! End of the day ALWAYS get insurance! Great management!”

“It’s rare these days when you get good service and therefore it needs to be recognized. I rented a truck from this location to do some minor moving of household items. Every step of the process went smoothly, from the reservation to checkout.Although when I brought the truck back the next morning I noticed I had to put more gas in the tank than I thought I had used. It seems you have to check the gas gauge & your contract to verify how much gas you need to bring it back with an equal amount as when you left. That’s normal. But it took 4 gallons and I had only driven 18 miles. Something was not right.So when I checked the truck back in I confronted the first person I came upon with anger. His name is Cory and I started out the conversation pretty aggressively.In a matter of moments, Cory calmly explained to me what likely happened, told me that I wasn’t the first person this happened to, then apologized, and offered a fair reimbursement for the extra expense I incurred.Just like that! Problem solved.If corporate U-Haul is reading this then you need to hire more employees like Cory. He quickly handled an angry customer and diffused the situation with a little reason. He didn’t need to give me a full refund, and I didn’t expect that, just make it right. A few dollars was all it took.Too often people skills and some common sense are overlooked when in the service business. So thank you, Cory.”

“Moving is a pain in the neck. From renting a U-haul, buying boxes, packing your stuff and getting people to help you out. Ugh!!!This branch helped me a ton. They work with you and give support. Customer service is understatement. They do a routine inspection on the storage units to make sure they are properly maintained and safe, then call the customer if something is off - like if the lock isn't the right one, etc.Returning Uhaul Vans or dolly is no hassle. They have a space inside the storage building allocated for stuff that renters do not need but can be donated. Cool!!”

My original reservation was for a 15' truck, but Uhaul's traffic control changed it to a 10' truck, claiming there were no 15' trucks available in the area. This was a major issue as I had booked a week in advance for a one-way move and needed everything to fit in a single trip.

When I arrived at the Northridge location, I explained the situation to Alex. He took the initiative to call traffic control and managed to secure my original 15' truck reservation.
