I was in a bind after booking movers for my out of state move that never showed up. I needed to find movers for the next day which I thought would be impossible, but then I found Notrhstar. They were so helpful and had a quote ready for me in 30 minutes. They showed up on time and were extremely professional and wrapped everything with delicate care while moving quickly and efficiently. They gave me a 24 day delivery window and I got my stuff in one week. No surprises, no hidden fees, dealing with professionals every step of the way. Thank you, Northstar Moving, for turning a stressful situation into a painless process. Would recommend highly to anyone looking to move!

We had an international move and are incredibly happy with the whole process. The packers packed everything very well and when we checked at our delivery address, nothing had been broken or damaged. Communication was very transparent and timely, and although it took a bit of time, it was as smooth as we could possibly imagine it to be.
Thank you so much for your team and the HK team that you work with, it has been really great working with you.

It would have taken me a week and a bunch of unhappy relatives fed on cheap pizza to do what these guys did a few hours. Very efficient and professional. Much better than what I've experienced from other Yelp 5 star companies. Worth every penny.

My experience with this company was terrible! We had 3 movers and each of them were the worst. One of them mostly stayed in the truck and when I went down stairs(there were elevators) to check on him, he pretended that he is actually doing something in an empty truck! It took them 7 hours for a one bedroom apartment with the least amount of furniture possible and I literally cried after they left. I reported to the company after a while. Wendy, the manager promised me %75 refund( well later she said she didn't say that and that was a misunderstanding!) anyways I didn't calculate the amount she offered and after our conversation I realized it is less than %50 for that awful service. Not to mention the way she treated me( It was like I was the one who did something wrong) they decided to give me a full refund under one condition! That I never use their service again!! I wouldn't have done that anyways. The 2 stars that I gave them was for the full refund but everything is not just about money they need to treat customers properly even when they know the customer won’t come back to them. That is called ethics! Their terrible service was their fault not mine so it's not like they did me a favor it's like they processed a refund as a compensation! I mean what is the point of paying more(comparing to other companies) when you're not receiving a proper service!

NorthStar has helped me over my last 6 moves. They are legit. They are honest, hard working, and provide good customer service. Every crew we’ve had has been great, which has made me such a loyal customer. Recently we had Alex, Ubaldo, and Jugo on our move from Manhattan Beach. It was a full day and we had a lot of stuff and they went above and beyond for us.

We needed to store all of our furniture for a home remodel, and based on reviews, we decided to go with Northstar Moving. We are very happy with the service we have received from them. From our initial contact with Dan Cohen, to our moving crew of David, Rafael, Esteban, and Ramino, everything was handled in a professional manner. The crew was meticulous in their preparation of our furniture for the move.

Several neighbors recommended NorthStar. After a getting a couple estimates, I selected NorthStar for my move from LA to San Diego. Ron was responsive to my calls, friendly and quickly returned a reasonable estimate which was the final price. On move day, William and his crew showed up on time, quickly and carefully loaded the truck and even went the xtra mile and repaired a piece of furniture for me. They were accommodating in making 2 stops to deliver to storage and home. I was extremely happy with my choice in selecting them and would definitely use them again. Recommend!

NorthStar was the most expensive moving company we got quotes from, but we decided to use them anyway. There was some comfort knowing that the flat rate that we were quoted, after consultation, would be the final cost - no worries about movers adding on last minute fees or them taking their time so that they can charge more.Jorge and his crew were very efficient. They wrapped up our cheap furniture like they were priceless antiques. They hustled like no movers I've ever seen.I liked that NorthStar is very professional. Lotem called me immediately after I submitted a query and set up my consultation with Ron. After taking a tour of the items needed to move, he was able to give me an immediate quote. NorthStar followed up with insurance options and confirmation of the moving details. Jorge called me the day of the move to let me know when to expect them (which was right on time).Yes, they were expensive, but they were easily the best movers we've ever had. Thank you to Lotem, Ron, Jorge, Alex, Alonzo and Emmanuel!

Worst company!!! I would give zero if I can.They stole one of my boxes which contained all my luxury bags during the shipping.They will also insist you to pay the check before they move everything to your home on the final delivery day, before you are able to check everything is delivered and intact. Seems like they knew my items would be lost. No matter what their attitude of pushing you to pay them first before you check the items was nearly a threat to me at that moment. I had no other way but to pay the check, only to find out that my most valuable box was lost.In the end they told me they did lost that one box of mine, but the insurance would be paying me based on weight of my lost items, which means thousands of dollars of my luxury bags will be only worth like $30 for the insurance.Now thinking back they also took advantage of me when they got to know that my company will pay for my relocation when I quoted, and gave me a very high price. I was in a hurry to move and start work, so did not compare price and try another moving company based on the good reviews here, but later I got to know the price was way over our company approval level for reimbursement.The company don't have integrity at all. They vendor the work to other helpers with very low price. On the final moving day, only one guy was carrying my boxes while the driver watched. They probably pay that guy by hour. All the money went to the moving company. And they threatened me to pay, and they stole my valuable items. I would never use them had I known any of this.This is what I want to tell everyone when you face a situation of using a moving company, so it would worth I spent so much time to write the review:1. Avoid this Northstar Moving Company by all means.2. compare prices. don't let them know you will be paid by your company even if you do.3. You can't trust moving company. don't leave any valuable items in the moving, always take them with you. Your items will change hands many times, as per conversations with the packers. they are very inefficient. they mark your boxes by number, but so what? lost is lost. they don't care. You may even try PODS etc. since they won't touch your items in your storage.4. I would add read insurance fine-prints, but that won't help too much. you simply don't want to leave any valuable items.I even had the decency to order lunch on the moving day for the guys who packed for me, since it took ~6+ hours. So it was more disturbing after I got to know that my items were lost during the process.
