Just got my dresser yesterday from Robert. The first time 3 weeks ago I wanted to pick it up when he said it was ready it was all rough ! So I had him "Fix it" he said he would 1)The top looks and feels phenomenal however !!The front of the dresser feels very rough and sandy the back ... well the paint scraped off the back of the piece despite being so careful taking it out.. and why did it do that ?? It is because he cut a corner and only sanded portions of my dresser my piece of furniture was NOT completely sanded prior to painting ! It's unacceptable !!! So the rough parts .. well any dirt will stick to it ! I will try to show this in Photos but it sure how it will come across.2) Robert wants his cash that's all he cares about and before the job is complete . DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE . Get an invoice first with his quote then if you like pay 1/3 but not a single penny more until the job is finished and you are satisfied .I read another Yelp review that sounds so familiar so please take a look at what we have written it's important .I'm sure Robert can do good work because a portion of it is great work and I've seen some of the work there at his store but, I believe he wants to cut corners for some reason and why is the money so important before a job is finished . If Robert is a very nice gentleman however I am very dissatisfied with the outcome of my dresser that I was trying to refinish because it was a piece of furniture that I purchased in Japan and after 10 moves from working all over it needed a refresh .. there's more to the story, but I'll leave it at that. After $850 I am very dissatisfied and hope he reads this and does the right thing and corrects this unfinished business. By actually sanding the dresser as he should have prior to painting the paint is just coming off because it wasn't completely sanded

They were asked to refinish a complete dining room set; hutch, table and chairs. They were told the the hutch had some damage to the finish on the top. All pieces were to be refinished and chairs to be repaired and make any other repairsnecessary. While that refinishing was completedvery nicely, looking like a very professional job, the hutch was returned with a Crack in the top and the table was returned with leaf stuck in-place and the locking hardware missing. They were made aware this soon after the furniture was delivered back to the home, however refused to take responsibility for correcting these problems. To said we are disappointed would be understated. We will not be using this business or recommending them going forward.

Juan and his team are fantastic!! We got our vintage dining chair upholstered and they turned out incredible. I love the new fresh look and we get to use our dining chairs for many more years to come. Juan uses quality materials and craftsmanship. Make sure to Support this local gem. Highly recommended!!

I was so disappointed with their work, nothing came out professional. I gave them a Laz-y boy chair to reupholster, but it ended up costing me more than a new chair, and now it doesn't work correctly!! When I pointed it out, the owner was angry, insulting and simply mean! They promised to fix another chair that they refinished, it had come out rough and feeling unfinished. They were supposed to fix that, but they refused to take it! I should have been more suspicious when the sales guy was most fixated on me provided a check immediately! It was cashed that day. Buyer beware!

Really disappointed in this company.Anthony was supposed to get back to us in two weeks to come pick up two leather chairs and a couch to be re-upholstered … nearly 5 weeks later, three emails, 3 texts, and 3 phone calls he doesn’t even have the courtesy or professionalism to reply or respond to any of them! Basically he has blown us off - and do no apparent reason. Really surprising considering when we met him twice he appeared to be a super kind honest, and trustworthy guy.Cannot recommend this company at all!

Reasonably priced and good work. Pretty quick turnaround but I wasn't in a hurry. So nice to deal with a friendly small family business

Anthony does the best work and helps make the decision easy on how to redo your upholstery! I don't even shop around for another estimate, because I know his work!

It was an overall bad experience with Robert and this company. When I called him to ask him about refinishing my vanity, he came by to take a look at it and quoted me $500 which was fine. He said he was pretty busy and wouldn't be able to start it for a couple weeks. I wasn't in a rush since my bathroom project had yet to start, so that was fine, too. When he came back to my house to pick it up a couple days later, he said the same thing: 2 weeks before he can start on it plus another 2 weeks to do the job. Also, he said he'd need to charge $600 instead of the original $500 we agreed on. He seemed to be a nice guy and, again, I wasn't in a rush, so I agreed. That was on 3/24/2021. On 4/14/2021 (3 weeks later) I texted him for permission to stop by his shop before he returns it just so I can be sure it turns out as expected. He agreed. 2 weeks later on 4/29/2021 I texted him for an update on my vanity to which he replied "sometime next week." So, at this point, we were 5 weeks into a 4 week project (yes, I said that right). This type of exchange went on for the entirety of May: I'd ask him for an update, he'd say some variation of "next week." Or, he wouldn't respond or send my call to voicemail. Since most of this was via text, I can tell you that the dates on those exchanges were 5/6, 5/11, 5/17, 5/20 and 5/26. One of his excuses was that his girlfriend was in the hospital, something which I allowed myself to give him the benefit of the doubt for. Not to mention I told him on multiple occasions that he's causing delays for my bathroom remodel. His lack of response suggested he didn't care. So, on 5/27 I told him to have it done by 6/1 and if he's unable I'd come and pick it up. That Saturday, 5/29 he called me to tell me that he had disassembled my vanity but was unable to find the paint color I had asked him to refinish the vanity with and that the places he called wouldn't have it in stock until the following week. After we hung up I then went online and found a place who had it in stock ready for in-store pickup and relayed that info to him. And then... nothing.(As a side note, the contractor who had been remodeling my bathroom during this time was able to locate and purchase the exact same paint and use it on my bathroom walls the very next day, but I digress...)So, the following Monday and after almost 10 weeks of this nonsense I went and picked up my untouched vanity (yes, untouched!), which really brings into question his honesty considering he had told me he took it apart earlier (but why would he disassemble it without having the paint??? again, I digress...) At least he had enough integrity to return my deposit. All this being said, I don't like having written such a bad review of a company in my own community, but the dishonesty and willful lack of communication and follow-through are things I take offense to and I'd hate for someone else to have a similar experience.
