This review is a 1 because Zero isn’t an option. The service here is substandard and all begins with the Store Manager Julio. When we arrive we were greeted by the guard and then Julio. We conveyed the reason for the in store visit was for my aunt to upgrade her phone. After checking my Aunts credentials we were passed on to Henry (whose name tag was upside down) was moderately helpful. He never asked what model iPhone she wanted but chose the base model for her and seemed to have an issue with my Aunt changing the model HE chose as well as the color of her phone from pink to blue. In the end he still ordered a pink phone for her. Now he did explain that the deal that was only available on online and he would help with the order. Once he got to the payment portion of the order he handed the phone over for use to complete that section and disappeared. We then looked for Julio’s assistance. He promptly explained that they didn’t help with that but explained what the succeeding pages and gave the phone back. Never did he say that’s it you’re all set instead he walked away and joined the conversation two other individuals were having with a possible customer. We asked if that was all and he said yes Once we confirmed we were done we left. When my aunt went to pick up the phone this morning Julio to her that he didn’t have an order for her until showed him her paperwork. He got the phone and handed them over. She asked if he was going to set them up and was told there was an additional fee of $30 per phone. She asked why weren’t we told that yesterday to which he said he explicitly explained yesterday. This was an outright lie! One that can be confirmed by by watching the store footage. The employees take on the traits of the management team and if this is the best Verizon has to offer with their exorbitant prices than I suggest customers jump ship but for sure avoid this location. Setting up a customer phone should be part of the buying process not extra. There definitely needs to customer service training and a personnel change. Paying customers are the reason your business exists. If it were up to me I would have returned the phones and switched phone providers.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
I was instructed by Verizon customer service to visit the store to address an issue with my Costco cash card. Upon entering, I noticed Julio motioning for me to approach him. As I walked over, I observed him talking with another customer who were sitting on a desk. During their conversation, my mention of Costco seemed to trigger Julio's dismissive response, stating that they do not handle matters related to Costco. Despite my attempts to explain the situation and the instructions from customer service, Julio became visibly frustrated, insisting that he does not cater to Costco members. His tone grew increasingly hostile, warning me about speaking to him in such a manner and threatening to involve security if I did not leave the store.
I was shocked that such treatment would occur here. When I expressed my intention to contact customer service to clarify why I was directed to the store, Julio suggested I do so outside. This experience left me threatened and shocked that such kind of ruffians work for Verizon.
Horrible management of this store.

Supposedly open til 7 but at 6:50 they were closed. Phone number listed as an 800 number which takes you to Verizon. 20 minutes later I tell them I am trying to call the Corporate store in Cerritos and after another few minutes on hold they tell me no one is answering. I'm not driving over there again. I don't even know if they're open.

Worst customer service. Nobody wants to help. Even the manager sets up appts saying he'll help and doesn't even go in.

I would like to begin by saying I had a horrible experience in a corporate Verizon store in Downey that made me want to leave Verizon as a customer And from all people a manager. I walked into the Cerritos location and was met by yet another Manager who on my eyes deserves a promotion. I explained my situation and Ricardo was more than happy to help me. I didn't have the device I needed to return with me so he told me to just bring it in and he would be more than happy to help. I did indeed come back the next day. But by that time I decided I really didn't like the way I was treated and told Ricardo my apologies, in spite of what we spoke of yesterday I've decided I I would no longer like to be a Verizon customer. He expressed his sincerest apologies and went about trying to disconnect my service. He was extremely patient and very understanding and empathetic to the situation so much so I decided to keep my service with Verizon, and I truly believe if it wasn't for Ricardo, I would not have done so. I wanted to Thank him for being so kind it went a very long way. I will never return to the Downey location under any circumstances but Ricardo and the Cerritos location was able to help keep a customer.

I went with my mom to switch my Spectrum account to Verizon, and the gentleman who works there informed me that it would take 7 to 10 business days for activation. I was concerned about not having any service for that long, so I asked if there were any other options. Unfortunately, he told me that there were no other options available. This made me question his knowledge and expertise, so I decided to visit another Verizon store. Surprisingly, they were able to switch from spectrum to Verizon and activate my phone within just 10 minutes.
I want to caution others about potentially receiving false information from that particular store. It would be beneficial if the management could read this review and provide additional training to the staff member who was working there.

I had a disappointing experience today with the staff at this Verizon store. The representative I dealt with provided me with inaccurate information and gave me advice that was unhelpful. I won't be returning to this store in the future. I recommend saving your time and visiting another Verizon location where the staff is more knowledgeable.

This store is close to the gym I go to. But on Sunday by the time I got off of work, I decided to try the Verizon store by my work which turned out to be a not so great experience. I got the feeling that store, not Cerritos, was too busy and it was close to closing time so there was no rush to help me. I decided to try Cerritos which was what my instinct told me to do. From the time I got in, I was politely greeted and told one person was ahead of me. The man was very nice and helpful. I waited and the young man who helped me upgrade my phone was very nice and also helpful. I saw other people being helped in a positive way and everything seemed to move along smoothly. There was no rush to be done right at closing time. If there was one, I did t notice. I'm so glad. I came here and if I need anything again, I will continue coming here to Cerritos.

If you go to this Cerritos branch, avoid staff Julio.Hey Julio, I don't know why you're working there if you're not willing to help the customer. I went to the Fullerton branch and the staff there were kind and helped me with everything that I requested of you.

Verizon reps are condescending and rude. Do not go there. Long time customer never experienced that before
