Concordia School is a remarkable place to send children aged 2 to 5. Since my son joined the preschool program, we have been amazed by how his teachers embraced him with love and care, helping him become fluent in English and creative and social.Every morning, the teachers welcome students and families with smiles and ask how we are doing to express genuine interest in our well-being. Also, the teachers are open to discussing a child's worries or concerns and informing parents of any incidents or developments involving the child.Moreover, Concordia's outstanding curriculum prepares children to be ready for elementary school. We noticed that our son learns similarly to our daughter's kindergarten time. At the end of the year, the teachers designed each child's portfolio to showcase the child's progress and achievements.We are very grateful to send our son to Concordia before he turns kindergarten. We are looking forward to the summer programs and the following year! Hope my review helps parents decide to send their children to Concordia!

My son has been attending Concordia since he turned 2 years. All the staff has been instrumental to his growth. He was a shy little boy and he is now a strong and confident boy. The curriculum is appropriate for each age and I feel confident my son is well prepared for Kinder this coming fall. All teachers and office staff are supportive, patient, and loving. We will truly miss everyone after this summer. I am so glad I found Concordia for him and look forward to my younger one to attend when the time comes.

I can honestly say that Concordia is Godsend. The staff are all amazing- from Director, Cris and teachers. Not only do the teachers make it a fun and safe environment for the kids. They all do a great job in following the new safety guidelines and have wonderful communication skills. And is true what they say about “it takes a village to care for a child” I want to give a Big shout out to Ms. Medina and Ms. Lorena for helping my daughter improve her reading. I can’t Thank you enough.I highly recommend Concordia. You will not be disappointed ?

My son loves going to school and seeing all his teachers and friends. He comes home with stories about all their fun activities. I have peace of mind knowing my son is in great hands. Kudos to all the amazing teachers and staff at Concordia! We really appreciate you and all you do!

My kid has been here since she's 2 yo. All the teachers are very patient and loving. For example, Concordia teachers assisted potty training for my kid. For example, I don't know how the teachers do it with so many kids being potty-trained at once. I admire the teacher's patience in the process as I often closed to lose mine. The teachers never showed frustrations, always very encouraging and positive.Comparing to other preschools in the area, their fee it's slightly higher than average. However, the teacher/students ratio definitely worth a little extra tuition. My kid gets so much attention and care from each teacher. She's a now a confident little girl and we thank the teachers for that.In the past 2 years, many safety measures are added to the campus. I feel my daughter is very safe. Since COVID pandemic started, many cleaning and sanitation SOPs are implemented. The teachers are masked and the students are too based on what my little one tells me.Overall, I highly recommend this preschool to anyone who's looking for a nurturing environment for their kids. As a mom who visited ALL the preschools in the Cerritos, Cypress, Lakewood and La Palma areas, Concordia Lutheran School is the best among all. We met many parents in the school and we all feel the same way.

Best day care program for my family when the pandemic hit. Due to school closures and beginning distance learning, we needed child care help for our 2 kids. The staff are wonderful and very understanding of my personal situation as a single mom struggling to make ends meet. I can not praise this facility and it’s staff enough, truly a life savor for me and my kids.

I have 2 children in this daycare since august of 2020. The staff is wonderful and the facility is safe and clean. The environment is very nurturing and caring. I was so grateful to have found them to support my kids remote learning.

During Covid-19, I was in desperate need to find a school that would provide great care, safety, and scholastic attention and support to my child who is in Kindergarten. I enrolled my child into Concordia in January 2021 and even when schools re-opened this past month, I decided to keep my child there to finish out the school year because of how happy and well-adjusted he is there. I am so grateful to have found this gem of a school. They are the perfect provision and a great opportunity for all children. My son has loved it there since day one, and he feels loved by the staff at Concordia. My 6 year old loves it so much that he is always asking to be the last one picked up, which prior to Concordia, he never wanted to be last. Here is a quick break-down why you should consider this school:1) Safety - a. parents/caregivers cannot get onto campus without a security key; b. parents/caregivers need to sign in and out; c. there is a 2nd gate that only children can pass into that the parents cannot upon entering campus; d. no person can pick up your child without the proper identification and cross-referencing of paperwork.2) Education - a. they assist your child throughout the educational process whether that is ensuring access to wifi, logging onto their computers, ensuring the laptops are charged as needed, ensuring participation and focus throughout their virtual learning, support screen breaks as needed, help your child access the correct forms/activities/lessons as needed, and so forth; b. they provide additional educational activities as needed; c. will communicate with the parents what the child has completed for each day, if the child has injured themselves or if there was conflict that day, etc.3) Spiritual Formation - this school provides chapel every Wedneday and my son loves it. He comes home and shares what he has learned in chapel that day. The times I have needed to pick him up extra early, he was bummed because he wanted to stay for chapel rather than miss it. 4) Recreation - this school has a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the children to engage in during their breaks and after school time. I appreciate their willingness to allow children to be children and to engage in imaginary play. Here children can actually be kids, get dirty, run around, get sweaty, play on the playground, play soccer, make-believe games, enjoy sensory activities/toys, etc. 5) Schedule - they are open from 7:30am-6:00pm which works very well with my schedule. 6) Tuition - compared to many other childcare places, their prices are not inflated. They are fair and honest charges unlike other childcare locations in the nearby area. 7) As a parent, you are happy when your child is happy, social and safe! This school allows you to focus on your day because you drop off your child confident that they are safe, happy and at peace. Ms. Jennings, Ms. Chris, Ms. Medina and Ms. Lorraina are all exceptional individuals. They are personal, available, approachable and one great team! I highly recommend Concordia!!!!

We are in the daycare program but I'm sure their preschool program is also awesome. Best day care program for my family when the pandemic hit. Due to school closures and beginning distance learning, we needed child care help for our 2 kids. The staff are wonderful and very understanding of my personal situation as a single mom struggling to make ends meet. I can not praise this facility and it's staff enough, truly a life savor for me and my kids. From the beginning of the pandemic they have been very proactive on covid protocols. The children all wear masks and are 6ft apart with plenty of hand sanitizers. They have appropriate bathroom and hand washing stations. I feel that my children will succeed in transitioning to regular school once public school resumes thanks to the wonderful staff at Concordia Lutheran.

My daughter has been attending this school since she was 2 years old, she is now 6 and is currently attending the virtual academy and after school daycare. As a first time mother, I was very cautious in choosing the right school for my daughter. I realized I made the right choice when my daughter kept asking to go back. I cannot thank the teachers enough for giving love to my daughter and comforting her when I'm not there. They have become like family.
