“Been going here since early days of opening with Dr Basra and continued on with the changing of the guard after he sold. I trust them with my dogs. I have had 4 dogs go here. We have always had great care. I never feel like they are recommending cost that is not necessary. In fact, I have been told many times “we could do all these tests and charge you alot of money but I would rather try this first”. Josie and Remi’s mom recommends. ??”

Dr Nguyen is a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor, who goes above and beyond for the care of his furry friends!
Today was our very first visit with Dr Nguyen at this amazing hospital, the entire staff was very friendly and totally loving on our golden doodle, Bentley! For the very first time , our boy was completely chill and generally happy to be around a veterinarian/ hospital setting. lol
The doctor took his time to explain everything to us in detail and we never felt rushed ….
Their prices too are very reasonable…

I had to say good bye to my ferret a couple years ago and he was right there with me almost crying along. He cares for your pet as much as you do. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. “This vet office saved us from having a horrible day after rescuing a kitten. We saved a kitten from being run over in the middle of the road, eyes closed shut from an upper respiratory infection. We first went to Monte Vista emergency vet. They were unfortunately closed because of the Holiday weekend. Called and asked if they humanely take cats in and said they could so we went to the emergency Vet off Taylor. After waiting around for about 4 hours they told me they could not euthanize the cat. My wife and I were pissed we waited 4 hours because we wanted to humanely surrender a kitten we wanted to save and not kill!
The vets office inside of this petco has individuals that truly care for animals. Even without an appointment they were able to squeeze us in to get an emergency visit, clean the kitten, and provide medication. It was very heartwarming to know that there are amazing people working there. I didn’t catch the receptionists name but I would like to thank her for checking with the vet and getting us in. Thank you as well to Jessica the vet tech, and the vet whose name escapes me. You all are amazing people.”

“The employees at Empire Vets are wonderful. They are a whole different class of people. They really care about your animal. Our dog got chewed up by a pit bull. We took her to Empire Vets and they helped her without asking us if we had money or any source of payment first. That kinda stuff don't usually happen. They were so concerned about our dog. They got her up and ready to go. We were so pleased with their service that we will never take out dog anywhere else besides Empire Vets. Thank you to everyone who works who works there.”
“The rescue I foster dogs through needed a good value spay/neuter clinic so that we could stay within budget for our rescue dogs. This place was perfect for it! The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here!”

“My family has been bringing our pets to River Oak for 20+ years. Dr. Shaner and staff went out of their way to save our dog, Pearl, when she was hit by a car as a pup. They performed extensive surgeries including grafting of skin to save her life. She has passed but her portrait is beautifully displayed in their office as is our cat, Moo. Since than we have had the our pets in the care of Dr. Chatfield, and Dr. Drew. Dr. Chatfield went above and beyond when my puppy Cody had ear issues. With her care, knowledge and guidance, he was able to overcome and did not require surgery. Most recently they went out of their way to get my Bailey in to confirm if she may have a problematic pregnancy in an emergency. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are that we have River Oak Veterinary to care for our loved ones in the most dire times. Despite the changes in vet staffing, the level of care has never faltered and I whole heartedly will continue to recommend and celebrate the entire staff of River Oak.”

“Dr. Tia was amazing! She helped our Boer goat through a couple of issues. She explained everything beautifully to my 10 year old daughter and put her heart at ease. “The staff is so friendly and helpful, to get an appointment is not difficult, and they even text to check in about your pets days after the appointment to make sure everything is going well. They are very efficient and so far have done wonderful helping my pets. I am willing to pay whatever I need to get my fur babies taken care of, but the price is my only complaint. They are very expensive. With that being said, I am grateful that they do take good care of my pets”
“I’ve been seeing Dr. Mike and Dr. Chad for many years. You cannot find better doctors in the area. There are so many reasons why I’m giving them this rating. The staff is wonderful, communications are excellent, they do what they say they are going to do, and you don’t wait for hours and hours to see them. You won’t find better fees. I would almost keep this rating to myself so that I can get appointments without competing with you. However, they are just so good that they deserve a 10 out of 5. Consider yourself lucky that I’m sharing this with you. I love my veterinarians.”

The Dr. was extremely explanatory in options and continued care. For this reason, I will be taking him back for an ear issue he's continued to have that the seemingly "top clinic" in Escalon couldn't seem to get a handle on.”

“2 weeks ago I found a critically injured kitten in my garage. When I found him I discovered the bone was exposed on his right arm. And the arm was also dead and infected. I didn’t think the little guy would make it through the night, but he pulled through and I took him to Dr. Cassidey to be taken care of. The kitten was in rough condition. But Dr. Cassidey took amazing care of him and gave him a second chance at life. Sunny ended up getting his arm amputated. Dr. did an exceptional job with the surgery and treated him with love and respect. I took Sunny in today to get his stitches removed. The staff here has made this journey very easy and have shown little Sunny so much love and care. I do not trust a lot of vet offices but Monte Vista is at the top of the list for veterinary’s I will take my pets to.”

I am positive that she has extended the life of my 13 year old Westie after a major surgery to remove a 1 lb. tumor from his chest wall. The entire staff is knowledgeable about taking care of the kittens that I foster. Very helpful. I can’t thank them enough.”
