I recently visited Wildhaven Ranch in Glen, CA and was blown away by my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a true appreciation for nature and wildlife. The guided tours were informative and enjoyable, offering a unique perspective on the diverse array of animals residing at the ranch. I was especially impressed with the knowledgeable and passionate staff who were eager to share their love and knowledge of the animals with visitors. The ranch itself is beautifully maintained, with pristine facilities and well-kept animal habitats. The animals are well cared for and seem happy in their environment, making it a joy to observe them up close. The highlight of my visit was getting to interact with the animals, from feeding the friendly goats to holding the gentle owls.I highly recommend Wildhaven Ranch to anyone looking for an educational and unforgettable outdoor experience. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a peaceful escape from the city, this ranch is a must-visit. The memories and knowledge I gained from my visit will stay with me for a long time to come.

Very unexciting. My husband and I stayed in Big Bear for a weekend and on a whim thought it would be cool to visit the animals. The funny thing is they don't require masks but tell you to wear one around certain animals. I've been wearing my masks constantly but it's hilarious to know that's it's more important to wear them around the animals versus the humans , very strange. A lot of the cages were empty even the reptile room indoors was empty, felt like a rip off even though the cost was minimal. I am not even sure if a child would enjoy this, you can finish the whole walk though in less than 15 minutes. I know it's a wildlife sanctuary versus a zoo but still thought there would be somebody here to educate us, but nope nothing. Please save your money and go somewhere else. This place needs a revamp, or an investor, or they should just make it a non-profit so people can visit for free. The one good thing is that there was ample parking available

Inspirational sanctuary and a good example of people truly loving animals BUT was a highly disorganized $50.00 tour. It was fun to listen to the lady who is the bear caretaker, she knows what she is doing. And it was great to see eagles close up... but I will send a donation and watch a documentary next time.

Must visit if you're in the area ~ the Wildhaven Ranch team and volunteers are knowledgeable, dedicated and doing vital work to inform the community + visitors about our ecosystem. The animals cannot be returned to the wild and are here to serve as ambassadors for their species & the local flora/fauna. They're well cared for and clearly comfortable with their roles. If you want to introduce your children to wildlife, this is the kind of place to go - small, intimate and ethical.

Don't get me wrong, this place is awesome for what they do. I commend them for everything. But, many things need to change. First with online waivers to delay the 30 minute wait time just to park. Second, the curator needs to be put on an audio tape and edited. The whole process needs to be smoothed out, rehearsed, and better organized. The tour could be trimmed down a bit and a few more fresh upbeat faces hired to create stations for the animals. Also visual hot points on a sheet or a board by the cages. IMO it would be beneficial to cut out the long winded stories and preaching.

We visited Wildhaven Ranch this afternoon. What an amazing experience. An absolutely charming director. Knowledgeable staff. Spectacular ambassador animals, including bobcat, golden eagle, and of course the bears. And they do the good work of rescuing injured native species and releasing them back into the wild. We definitely recommend a visit. We will be back.

Diane, who guided us through this sanctuary, was compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable. We were introduced to a bobcat, three black bears, a bald eagle, a golden eagle, and a turkey vulture, all there under circumstances which prevents these wild creatures from living in the wild.

Such a cool experience! The animals were amazing and the tour hosts were super knowledge. Such a great cause for animals who would've died or been abandoned! We did the extra bear feeding and it was an awesome end to the tour.

We had a great time seeing the animals. They do a great job explaining how important it is for wild animals to stay in the wild.

My family and I had an amazing experience. Diane the owner was a joy and had a great sense of humor. She loves and cares for the animals so much you can see it in the animals demeanor. The animals had so much character, especially Mr Magoo the blind turkey vulture and snickers the bear. I learned so much from the 2 hour tour. I highly recommend Wildhaven. I have a greater respect for the wild animals after learning how important they are to our ecosystem. Me and family went to Big Bear zoo a few months prior and by far the animals at Wildhaven were so much more vibrant and healthier looking than the ones at the Zoo. Diane and staff are doing such a great job. I hope more people donate since they rely solely on donations. Wildhaven sanctuary has nurtured many wild animals back to health and have been able to release them back into the wild, the ones currently at the sanctuary are not yet able enough to go back out into the wild but you would never be able to tell they look so active.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience visiting Wildhaven today. After watching both seasons of Alaska Wildlife Rescue, I wanted my daughter to see a rescue firsthand and Wildhaven doesn't disappoint. In fact, they even have a bald eagle from the Sitka Raptor Center which blew my daughter away. Wildhaven is a true gem with a very important mission. If you're in Lake Arrowhead, make it a point to visit and support this special place.

The Wildhaven Ranch is a wonderful sanctuary for animals who cannot be released back into the wild. Diane and her staff are well-informed and obviously care very deeply for these animals. Diane was willing to accommodate my mother, who uses a cane, by driving her around the premises in her golf cart so she was also able to enjoy the Ranch. It is definitely worth seeing and your entrance fee goes to a wonderful cause of feeding the animals.

First let me say that this llace is wonderful. All of the staff and volunteers were so knowledgeable, and we learned to much about different animals, it was amazing.I do feel it pertinent to mention that the majority of staff were overly friendly and considerate, and while the leader was very knowledgeable and very kind to the animals, she was extremely rude to the staff amd customers. I understand you have concerns about safety, and those comments were understood, but the belittling comments to staff and customers about things that were not safety related were uncalled for and made for an uncomfortable environment. Then while snapping at everyone else to be quiet, she sat right behind me in her gf cart and talked through the whole 1st bear exhibit so I couldnt hear anything they said.Aparently the rules on apply to some and not others.Dont let thos deter you from going, it was a wonderful experience, as long as you disregard the snide comments and make sure your kids dont get upset by them.
