Best Classic VW care I've experienced in the 63 years I've owned my '62 Beetle! Mike not only knew exactly what I needed now, repaired it and explained what I should plan on next! He showed me the old parts and was extremely reasonable!

I had been taking my ‘74 Thing to French’s in Yucca Valley, but recently discovered ABW (owned and operated my Mike Simon).Unless you are your own mechanic (which I am decidedly NOT) owning an old car comes with the need for constant “fixing” which means you need to be able to trust the guy that you task to do that, as it’s generally an open-ended (unknown cost) process. Mike is that guy - experienced, qualified, transparent and honest. He just rebuilt / replaced much of my suspension and it’s like driving a different car, which no longer rattles and jars my spine on every bump.I guess that’s why his shop is full of beautiful vintage VW’s and Porsches owned by other old car junkies, who won’t go anywhere else.

Having been to a handful of classic VW shops for service on my '69 Transporter, Mike definitely stands out. He's incredibly friendly with a depth of knowledge rarely found on these old cars. He took the time to explain what and why he was doing work and made sure it was done right before I make my annual trek cross country (3k+ miles). My VW hasn't run this well for some time! Thanks Mike, you're the best!!!
