The owner tried forcing (and I mean forcing) her incorrect advice on me. Of course, I checked out what she told me with my doctor and a long-time hair professional, who unfortunately now lives in another city. As it turned out everything that she told me was 100% incorrect. I guess she doesn't like clients questioning her authority and having a mind of their own!

I could check all the bubbles. I had the best salon experience here and my hair looks and feels amazing. I had a horrible experience at another salon months ago and thought I’d get out and find a new one. I did my research this time around and loved what I saw about Studio W salon. I know a lot about customer service and this salon is it. The salon was super clean and the design and decor was amazing. I felt so comfortable and relaxed. I left feeling like a princess

Great place for a haircut. I'm a regular with Sophia for about 1.5 years now. The haircut is great and she is very accommodating when scheduling a haircut appointment. The haircut looks great, too.

Thanks Yelpers for another great, local find! This review is specifically for Sophia's threading services. I've been in search of a good threading place that didn't involve me driving all the way to Dublin, Pleasanton or Union City, so I was excited to see reviews of a local threader minutes from home. I was a little iffy on how my brows would turn out when I walked into this tiny salon. When I walked in it was clear that Sophia's is mainly a hair studio (duh) that caters to a much older crowd. Appearances can be deceiving though because my brows turned out great. Sophia did an awesome job shaping and cleaning up my brows. Instead of just going at it with my brows she took the time to first ask how I wanted them and actually listened (I've been to other places where I requested "not thin" and get the complete opposite). Although I have had threading before, I appreciated that she walked me through each step and did everything so effortlessly and with an extremely gentle touch. The chair she uses is a typical salon chair so your not laying back as far as you would compared to chair used at other threading places, but that didn't seem to make a difference at all. Before I knew it my eyebrows were done and looking great! Best of all, she only charges $10 for brows...what a deal! Minus one star because this is a salon and not just a threading place, you may not have the convenience of being able to just walk in to have your threading done. Sophia is the only one that does threading so if she has a hair appointment you will have to wait. Although she takes walk ins, I would recommend making an appointment. She's usually pretty flexible and can fit you in the same day.

Karen Silva is fantastic. She doesn't rush and really makes sure she is doing what you want and that you are happy with your cut/color and style.
