I work in a hospital. I love that Safeway stays open until midnight , so I can cook for myself...However, today, I arrived at 11:53, and the doors were locked, and security shook his head to let me know I could not enter. I was embarrassed, and I didn't get any groceries. Does the store close at midnight? Do employees lock the doors earlier?

This store full of "Russian" haters!!!Watch out! Anybody can get hurt there!!!!! All kind stalkers is looking for "Russians" to start stalking and abuse you there, their hate is based on nationality origin for farmacy customers; anybody who speaks with any foreign ascent, those haters first order you to get far from them in line, initiate a scandal, very provocative, insults you closings, your looks, then use store manager ( big slavic guy in red t-short), to get foreign "Russian" customer to be kicked out, involving a security, stalking to a car, filming your car, filming how you get to the car. Also, watch out for a Chinese guy there!!! He is involved in all that as well, calling himself a manager. His name is Mike.

I live within walking distance of a Safeway. This isn't it, but I will gladly drive several miles to shop here instead. It's clean, it's well stocked, the produce is always very fresh. Always a good variety, and I've never had any issues finding what I'm looking for.But the biggest reason is that unlike other Safeways in the area, it hasn't locked its pharmacy/wine section down into a smaller gated area within the store where you're constantly watched by security cameras and actual guards and have to go through a separate checkout just to get a bottle of cough medicine.Unlike some other Safeways, this one has not built security gates around its entrances that prevent you from leaving unless you buy something.I'm very socially anxious, and the over-the-top security measures at the other stores make me very nervous. I feel like they're treating me like a potential shoplifter rather than a valued customer every time I go in.I just want to walk in, find my groceries, and pay for them at the self checkout without anyone watching me. This is a good store where I can do just that, and the self-checkout area is pretty big so I usually don't even have to wait in line. Thank you for letting me shop in peace.

I have found the store is always clean and the shelves well stocked. The flower selection is quite good. The one negative is parking. It's a bit cramped.

This is a decent Safeway and place to get groceries. However, I've always had issues with the checkout line. There are never enough employees available for check out. And there is one cash here lady who is consistently rude, and I dread going to her booth, but often have no option. She definitely has an attitude.

I've been coming to this Safeway for the past 15 years. I am a woman of color. Today a short, stout, gray haired clerk monitoring self check out came up to personally monitor me. There were several other people checking out too. Once I was done, she went back to where they usually stand. What a disappointment.

To the tall male employee with black hair and facial hair working cart returns on Sept 14th 2023 around 8:40pm, I heard you call me an asshole lol. I was going to tell Michael, but figured this would be a funny way to get my point across. I stopped my vehicle at the crosswalk near the main door for two reasons: 1. I saw you pushing carts ready to cross and as a law abiding citizen, I yielded for a pedestrian (you) and waived you on. Unfortunately you did not see me and said "don't stop there asshole". 2. If you were aware of your surroundings you would have also seen that I stopped where I did because a vehicle was backing out of a parking spot directly in front of me. Lessons to be learned: 1. If you're going to call a customer an asshole, do so in your mind with a smile on your face. 2. Put your AirPods on transparency mode and you won't talk as loud, I probably would not have heard you call me an asshole. JK I would have I can hear a pen drop from a mile away. I get it, you're tired and had a long day at work. Been there done that. But you should never call a customer an asshole in public. Do it in the break room, in your car, at home. But not in public. Sincerely, The tall tatted asian dude that was staring you down.

I'm done shopping here until they do something with management. I was rudely stopped by the white lady manager with short brown spiky hair for purchasing 10 gallons of milk. She proceeded to stop me by grabbing my cart and ask me why I'm purchasing that much milk and that I wasn't allowed to grab that many because she has "thousands of customers" to sell milk to. Mind you, there was SO MUCH milk in the fridge my 10 gallons didn't even make a dent . When I asked where the sign was that said that she was quiet and then proceeds to ask me why I need so much milk and that I need approval from her dairy manager. Whether I needed it for a business or to feed my family It's really none of her business if I'm buying it and I've bought that many here before !! She told me " this time she'll let it slide this one time " as if I will ever come back to this place again after being approached so rudely like that over some damn milk that you probably will waste anyways. As a supervisor, do better.

The service is terrible. The store attendant/cashier's name was very rude to a customer just because the customer had 16 items in the express lane. Her name was Michelle. Granted that the customer made a mistake, Michelle rolled her eyes and made rude facial expressions to the customer even after the customer made an honest mistake. I think she thought the customer wasn't paying attention.

This location does not have shopping baskets due to rampant theft. This means, the shoppers are to suffer if you plan on just buying a few items. It doesn't make sense to push a big shopping cart for a handful of items. I've seen many elderly folks struggle to hold on to a few items that they have. Management should really take note and improve the situation for shoppers. Instead, they're punishing shoppers because of bad actors that they don't have a solution to the problem.

I never go to Safeway for a multitude of reasons. But today I went to Safeway on Redwood Road to purchase corn that was on sale 8 for $1. The bin need filling I asked an produce employee if he was going to fill the bin , he replied yes, but never got the corn . I left. I noticed to get certain extra discounts on some purchase's you needed to download an app. Which I didn't want to do . The employees I saw walking around didn't look happy at all, they don't return a smile or say hello back or ask if you need help. They are not friendly or helpful they are rude. I also noticed that even the customers didn't seem happy to be shopping at Safeway.

2nd time in a week I am in the "express" lane and the person ahead of me has 60+ items. The cashier said it's ok??? Really??? Should be no stars here.

Came here for the 1st time to get a few things. It is a smaller store, but still has lots of items. I'm just not sure why I couldn't find the soup aisle. Otherwise, had everything I was looking for. Store is clean though some aisles are very narrow.Parking lot is on the smaller side, but it surrounds the store. If you can't find parking in front, go around to the sides. Will come back again when I'm in the area. Especially since there are carts to use.

I was a frequent shopper at this Safeway and will no longer return here. The manager on the floor today was either a Robert or a Mike I can't remember. He was extremely rude to not only customers but staff as well. If your working in customer service expect customers to have questions. I normally shop here when this location first opens since it's less busy, I took a chance today and seen the manager could not keep his cool with how busy they were.

3-26-23 cake order placed online for 4-29 pick up. 2 full sheet cakes. 4-10 call from Jennifer in bakery about theme cake not being available. New order placed with her. 4-28 call from Jennifer again about confusion on cake theme. She confirms with me she has the new order and gives me a total of $169 for pick up the following day. 4-29 when arriving at pick up, we were informed there are no cakes and record of my order. Despite showing original confirmation of redwood location and knowing Jennifer an employee of that bakery, workers and manager keep insinuating we are at the wrong location. Eventually they talked to Jennifer, who confirmed we had an order. With no help from bakery and manager my parents had to buy a dozen random cakes for way over our proposed priced to have enough cake to feed people at my daughters birthday party. A $40 discount was all that was offered. I am so livid and disappointed with your entire bakery. New total was $260+ and cake cutting ceremony ruined. Emailed corporate and received generic good for nothing response. Avoid bakery at all cost!!!!!!
