“Live near by - It is a nice friendly neighborhood store but they are kinda pricey. However, every month I stop by to get my pooches dog food. For some odd reason they are the cheapest on Call of the Wild dog food. It is a high quality dog food and I was shocked they carried it, and even more shocked to find that it is cheaper here than anywhere else I have seen. As long as they are around I will be there once a month to purchase my bag of food. Also handy for quick little items you need like glue, keys, bolts or nuts.”

“Easy, simple and old school.Took my small Ignik 5 lbs refillable camping growler and he refilled it for $10.I assume it’s cash only, but I could be wrong.It replaces 5 of the wasteful green camping propane canisters.”

“I called when our forklift ran out of diesel while installing a show at Oakland Arena. I called and they were able to get the lift refueled within 45 minutes. Customer service was wonderful. I would use them anytime.”

I didn't give 5 star rating because the mobile app didn't work wile returning the truck. There were a couple of issues:
1. While going through the return flow, if you change the orientation of your phone then you have to go through restart the process again. It was annoying. I hope UHaul will fix this problem soon.
2. I ran into another problem at the very last step of return process, the application will wait for ever mentioning that it is updating the backend. It never moved forward to the final step. I tried at least 3 times and got the same issue. Finally, I had to return home without completing the process. Next day, UHaul representative mentioned that I could have called them and mentioned about this issue.”

“Went here to pick up a U-Haul for my move, the day we picked up the uhaul I can't remember his name I think it was Christian he was super nice and showed us everything. The next day we went back to drop it off and it was easy breezy.”

“It's harder to find propane tank refills than I had previously assumed when searching around the area. I bought an empty 20lb tank and realized the same big box retailers only do tank exchanges, which isn't what I wanted. I was delighted to discover this dedicated propane business nearby. The people here are professional, and I was given some valuable tips on using propane. It's a great value and I'm looking forward to coming back again soon.”

“Recently "Me and Patti" ordered a couple of new LazyBoy Recliners. They got to us a couple of weeks early. Great, yes? No. We weren't expecting them for at least three more weeks. I don't have a pickup or van. What to do? We decided to call our local U-Haul, shipping moving supplies too, and rented a newer looking clean van. Ordering on line is soooo easy. Got to my local U-Haul five minutes early. The office was clean, organized, and with staff ready to help. My guy, Jorge, was the best. Check out was so quick. I would say I was ready to go in less than five minutes. I was thinking " Wow that was easy". Check in , and hello again, Jorge. We got the van back into inventory, less than three minutes. "Who knew? I didn't." So let's put this all together. Quick, easy, rental on line while at your dinner table, way too cool. ( Even with Patti telling me "No phones at the table".) Then flying through check-in and even then more awesome, practically handed Jorge the keys and left. So easy, so happy. And you can be happy too. U-Haul on Thornton Avenue ( right near 880). Need a rental truck or van? Need moving boxes or supplies, U-Haul has you covered. ( Like a warm and fuzzy blanket). Jorge and the rest of the friendly staff are ready to help you get real happy, really easily. "Me and Patti" will be renting a box van on January 2nd 2024. Going to Sacramento to pick up my new (to me) Ducati D2R "Monster 803. Toys for Xmas. Never gets old. We'll let you know how that goes when we return. U-Haul Fremont, ready and very happy to help. “I was under a LOT of stress when I arrived at this location with personal family matters. I am a full-time caregiver to my Mom. In order to save money for her medical/insurance costs, we could not afford to pay for my storage up here anymore and I had only one day to empty it. I came into Uhaul with my friend to rent a truck for 24 hours to empty the storage area. Izzy, the CSR who helped us IMMEDIATELY saw that I was not in a good mental state and went ABOVE AND BEYOND by being courteous, empathetic and friendly by engaging me in conversation. Soon after, she took the time to show me available options for my budget and was honest about all fees (mileage, insurance, etc.) so I was cool with everything before signing the paperwork. Courtesy and good customer service these days are pretty bad. But this U-Haul location with its friendly and knowledgeable staff, good rates and superlative convoy of truck options are a MUST for your traveling/moving needs. I highly recommend them! - Neil”
