I thought there would be better communication with the patient, my labs were important because I had an appointment on January 3 with my doctor, it turns out that they gave me the option to pay cash or with a card, which at that time had cash available, the thing is that I was About 30 minutes waiting for the receptionist to take my information to proceed with the payment, she told me that it was 745 and she had 700 which I told her that 700 would be paid in cash and the rest with the card, she absolutely told me that she cannot divide the bill, ok I told him that at least I wanted to take the exam xk taking advantage of the fact that I was on day 2 of my period, and I told him that I would make the appointment again for Tuesday that I cared more about this exam, he went back to review the information on the computer at the end. He said it would be 650 xk in that combo they had several exams that I needed, I waited a minimum of 10 minutes, when I gave him 660 he told me that he has no change and that he won't be able to assist me, I lost 2 hours of my work, I lost time, I lost my days that I could take advantage of my period and now I have to cancel an appointment with my doctor and wait another month to do those tests, if from the beginning he had told me we don't make changes, I gave him options and I even told him to stop crediting them in my account By the time I returned on Tuesday, in short, it seemed unprofessional and lacking in communication, lack of training, that's my opinion. Oh, I would have told myself from the first problem that we don't have change and we don't divide cash account with card, I would have understood.

I think they are running medical fraud, charging 100$ copay for basic blood tests. Insurance doesn’t know anything about it and will not reimburse it. I had enough of them. Wasting my time.

I’ll state upfront that I hate needles and have always had anxiety around getting blood drawn, but I was very fortunate that Anna May (?) took care of me today. She told me not to worry and talked/joked with me throughout the process to help keep my mind at ease. Unfortunately I still ended up with some dizziness, sweating, etc. at the end of the session, but she got me water and made sure that I was okay before heading out. People like Anna May turn often unpleasant experiences into great ones, and I greatly appreciated it.

First time rating a phlebotomist, haha! Veronica and her team are amazing. They are super fast, clean, and v v important- TALENTED. She had drawn my blood at least ten times in the past couple of months and always does a spectacular job, never having needed a second poke! The online site can be a pain (it goes down sometimes) but that’s not the clinic’s fault.

Beware this place closes at 3:45 not 4pm and their phone system doesn’t work so you can’t even call the lab!!! This place is a joke don’t waste time driving 20 mins to get here!

Made appt online, check in was simple and quick. Less than 5 min wait and I was taken in. Marissa (sp?) was AWESOME. She is a pro - fast, efficient, first try, and painless. I was in/out in less than 10 min.

Uncommunicative and no empathy. They "got the job done", but I certainly wouldn't bring someone who might be nervous or not feeling well. It used to be better run with kinder people.

checked website morning and confirmed appointments were not necessary; uber'd over for a routine blood draw, was told by receptionist they were not taking "walk-ins" due to staff shortage...that despite the fact that no other patients were present...they seem to make it up as they go along.

On the phone they accept walk ins but after you drive 20 mins they refuse to do the service and the lap is empty and her response is we are short staff so we don’t like to overwhelm ourselves so we are not basically going to work and the technician is doing some duties in the back so sorry you would have to make an appointment. Thanks will do my best to request a lap quest instead of dealing with lap corp again specially that location

Horrible service yesterday I went to there and check in but she said today we can't do it, you should come tomorrow and you don't eat 12 Hr before the test so I came today and I didn't eat more than 15 Hr, but another person wes there he said we can't see without appointment today

the team of this lab was not professional they hate their jobs . bad and rude behavior towards my parents . they don’t speak fluent english . african american guy at the front desk feels like he was high . he just finished smoking weed . i really want to stop others to go there to protect your loved ones and their dignity . hope their business shut down and lab employees become homeless .

if you have to experience what is bad service you should come this lab in castro valley and waste your money and time . fully irresponsible and unprofessional staff has been hired for us and waiting for you guys . they more care about mask and not providing if you forget it to bring it . and then they will treat you like you are slave . specially the front desk staff don't know how cheap the hourly lab offers to them so they found this quality staff . the black african guy at front will approach you with rude behavior apparently they are at lab . but they forgot they have to wear a mask also inside . very disappointed i waste my money for lab here . first i thought i am in somewhere weed store . try this place and see what i had experience you will write same thing . hope businesses shut down .

Made an online appointment and they said no appointment.. they would not take my handicapped 91 year old mom for a 1 minute blood test .. very robotic and no compassion! Went to San Leandro and with a long line they fit her in.. won't ever go to Castro Valley Lab corp again
