What can I say about this place that has not already been said. Hands down the best place to get your hands on craft brew from breweries all over. Their selection is always phenomenal. The only way to get a fresher selection would be to go directly to the source. Everyone at the store is so friendly and welcoming. If you have any questions regarding your selection they are always willing to help.

My husband and I always go here. We normally buy at Costco for bigger bottles and to save more. However sometimes we're too lazy or we don't have a budget to go there lol I always buy my cigarettes and lotto here too. The staff and owners are really nice. Theyve been here several years now. I recommend this store.

Jr's discount liquors has been a hotspot for me since 2014. Jr's discount liquors lives up to its name. With great prices and a large section of craft beers, liquor, and fantastic tequila. Their selection of tequila consist of El Tesoro, Tequila Ocho, and Fortaleza !! I was very fortunate to pick up two unique bottles of Fortaleza. One was a unique bottle of Fortaleza Blanco, Still Strength. This bottle is distilled at 92 proof, 46 ABV. The second, which is currently a super rare bottle to find right now, is the Fortaleza Blanco, Lot 150. This particular bottle is a bit special because it is fermented with the agave fibers. Both of these bottles are delicious. In conclusion with this review, I would like to highlight my final statement. JR's discount liquors is a fantastic place to stop and purchase craft beer or world-class tequila. Stop in today and take a look at the inventory !! You will not be disappointed.

Juniors is an awesome spot for all your beer and spirits needs. He stocks a massive selection of craft beers and a large selection of sours which are my favorite.Jr's recommendations are always spot on and he knows what I like so every visit is an adventure in what's going to be next on the list to try.The store has all the bourbons, scotches and other spirits you would want and there is always plenty of inventory.If you want to see what's new each week you can see him live on Instagram and you'll see and hear all about each one as he opens then, tries them, and explains the flavors, finishes and nuances of the beers.Glad they are in Castro Valley.

This place is awesome. He has so many unique beers! I normally go in and say "yo, I'm looking for a good beer to go with my Mexican food" or something and he'll know EXACTLY what to give me. I've never been disappointed with the beer selection here.

Awesome beer selection, great pricing and a staff that knows their beers. Love that you can buy singles and really hit the spectrum. Staff was informed and knew what to recommend based on my preferences. I could shop here all day and find something new all day long..Definitely coming back next time I am near.

Without question, the best "bottle shop" in the Bay Area, hands down!!!! Junior and Bobby--straight up good dudes and the selection is well beyond anything I have seen anywhere. Although I dont really know "hard liquor and spirits," I havw heard others say they are the beet for that. I dont even like going to Castro Valley but will go to JR's for sure!!!!! Do yourself a favor and patronize this wonderful business!!

An incredible shop with an absurdly large selection of beer. The staff are always friendly and very helpful with recommendations, particularly if you're looking to try something new! Stock rotates frequently, so if you see something you like, buy it.

Dropped by on yesterday on a random trip to Hayward and was very impressed with beer and spirits selection. Workers were also very attentive and knowledgeable. I ended up picking up a Yamazaki 12 at a very fair price. Will be back soon!!

I recently moved away from this area. I'm heartbroken there is no liquor store near me that has half the quality of Jr's. The staff has always been incredibly friendly. The beer selection is out of this world. They offer single cans of many of their packs so that you can try before you buy a whole pack of something you may not be into. Hard to find what you won't like, though!

This looks like your run-of-the-mill liquor store but don't let that fool you. There's a ton of beer selection inside. I think I must've spent like 30 minutes just checking out what they had. Of course they had a great selection of stouts, porters, and sours which is what I'm always looking for. They do sell most of their selection in singles or 4-packs so you don't have to buy a 4-pack if you just want to try out a beer. I'll gladly spend my money here over the bigger retail stores. It was well worth the drive for me to check this place out.

This is a really simple review. The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about beer. He's literally got an entire wall of the most sought after craft beers for sale. In addition, he's constantly updating his selection. I really like that there's a small parking lot too. It's not "hipster", and to me, that's part of its charm.
