Very nice place to walk my dog. We sit and watch the tennis players. There is a nice park for the kids with water fountains to play in. The memorial is a beautiful tribute.

Originally unveiled in 2012 and expanded just recently, this memorial is located along the northern edge of the Castro Valley Community Park. It honors veterans who have served in all of the branches of our armed forces with gleaming stone markers that are updated from time to time with new names. There are also inspirational inscriptions that honor veterans in an appropriately dignified way without getting preachy or sanctimonious. The venue itself is spotless and well-maintained, plus you can sit, enjoy it, and contemplate at benches that are installed here. Worth a look if you're already here at the community park.
