Jack the owner was always great to work with and I never had a problem here till I had to deal with the son, Jay. He was hostile and yelled at me. After I got a half a$$ brake job. I made an appointment with a woman over the phone. When I arrived at my appointment time, Jay showed his rude self saying I had no appointment and I cant just show up when I feel like it. Thats fine. I won't show up there ever again. Sorry I can't recommend this place.

I went in for a Brake and Lamp inspection as per Referal from Chabot Smog and to see Jack the owner. Upon arrival I asked for Jack and was rudely greeted by Jay who later I find is the son. Jay was extremely rude, he looked miserable and ask me "What do you want" and said you need to go the office. There was no hello or what can I help you with. I was shocked by his attitude and lack of professionalism. Another customer was in the office saw what happened and said he was treated poorly as well and said maybe Jay was having a bad day. This was my first time and it will the last time going to this place specially if Jay is there in service. He needs to be removed right away otherwise more business will be lost. Do not go there for any auto related issues or help. You will get low class trashy service from Jay. I would rate ZERO if I could. The quote for Brake and Lamp inspection was $170 which was highest in the market. Went to H-T Auto in San Leandro for $80.

Went to get oil change and tires rotated here for the first time. No problems until the front desk lady had called me asking for my tire lock key (this is a new car i had never had any service on it) so I told her it's in the trunk. I go to pick up my car and I get home and double check they gave me the key back. As i search through the basket on my trunk I see that the key (which is in a black bag with honda label on it) is at the very bottom of the basket. This leads me to think that they did not rotate my tires which they charged me $40 for. If they had done it why would they put the bag at the very bottom of the basket? I call the shop and speak to the owner who became very defensive after I asked him the simple question of were my tires rotated. I explained why I thought they were not rotated and he raised his voice at me saying "WE DID NOT STEAL ANYTHING FROM YOUR CAR YOU COME DOWN HERE AND LOOK AT MY SHOP OF 40 YEARS" i said "i was not accusing you of stealing I just asked if they found the key to my tire locks and where they put them when they finished" he continued to yell at me telling me that it was my fault for not leaving then the key and says "THERES A SIGN IN OUR BUILDING TAHT SAYS TO LEAVE ALL THE KEYS WE NEED ITS NOT MY FAULT SHE DIDNT READ THAT"...at this point I was disgusted by his attitude and the extreme lack of any customer service skills. Will NEVER be back here for anything. So rude, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful to a first time customer

This local family owned/operated business is where you need to go for your car troubles. It's hard these days to know who you can trust to actually do the repairs & not price gouge you to the poor house so get to this 76 station if you need reliable, trust worthy vehicle care. I could get a ride to pick up my car when it was ready ( no I don't use lyft nor Uber!) Anyway they had a driver on duty and he picked me up in my own car! Talk about relieved!!!! Jack (father) & Jay (son) & mechanic team/staff THANK YOU. I'm 2nd generation customer and my daughter is 3rd generation, the years of service are greatly appreciated!

Absolutely wonderful experience, my c car was towed even after their hours were just about to shut they still took me in, and Jack was incredible. He worked with me while he was very personable and he had my tire ready and waiting the next morning I was in and out and had my car before 11:00 a.m. highly recommended wonderful customer service and they have been in Castro Valley for nearly 40 years!

Brought my car in for the “check engine” light. They researched and let me know there was nothing wrong with the car other than a dealer required computer update that they were not able to do in house. They printed the reference bulletin and associated service records for me to share with the dealer, and sent me on my way. Overall very professional and friendly experience. I will bring my car back next time it needs service.
