This place sucks! I went here Saturday to transfer out the funds in my edd card due to a notice i received that i would need to handle the balance i have before April. I have a surgery i'm undergoing so transferring my remaining balance was better handled sooner than later. As soon as i went up to her she shut me down and told me my card was no longer valid. She wouldn't even let me speak and when i was finally able to get my words out she said not to bother calling the number for my card which was total bullshit because i called and the lady who was helping me was shocked. She said, "i'm sorry you went through that really because she should not have said that to you at all, i'm in your account sir and not only is your card still valid but until April 15 or so you will be able to make transfers, withdrawals and make purchases with this card". I've lost so much faith in BofA and after Saturday's fiasco with them it's like why even bother being a legitimate bank? Your customer call centers are better equipped then your actual bank branches this location especially just sucks BAD. I feel bad for anyone who actually holds an account with Bank of America and even worse for anyone who has found their way to this branch. If they excel at anything it's their ability to be extremely unhelpful. If everyone is just as bad as the bank teller that helped me Saturday then do yourself a favor and get the hell out of dodge.

I went on a Saturday an hour before they closed and they had no line at all. There's ample parking behind the bank that even offers EV charging stations. As I walked in I was greeted and helped with making a deposit by a staff member. He asked a lot of questions which I thought was a bit odd, but he helped me quickly. They also have 3 ATM's outside at the front of the bank.

It is a nightmare to bank here. If I did not have to, I would not step foot in the place but it is where my employer banks. The website is an equal nightmare. The only way to get anywhere is to actually walk into the branch where there appear to be a lot of people doing very little.

All of b of A is the same. Horribly slow lines, only 1 teller at 11:30am Saturday. System is always down. Worst bank ever !! Why would anyone bank at a B of A ? The staff walks super slow. There's over 16 people in line right now and that's actually a good line. If you are a customer here, expect 30 min wait each time you visit the teller. Have fun!

There is always long lines and only one bank teller! They really need to hire more tellers. It's ridiculous that it's been this way for years and they haven't changed anything!

Terrible customer service and long lines with only one teller. The manager is not service oriented and really wasn't very helpful. I would move banks now.

Absolute embarrassment to not only Bank of America, but all banks.I am currently in line to see a teller in Castro Valley in California. The service here is embarrassing to say the least. I arrived at 10:48am and it is now 11:27am and I have yet to get through half the line. There is 1 teller and about 12-14 people in line. There is a lady walking around asking CUSTOMERS what she should do if she has an appointment with a banker because there is nobody here to help her. It is so sad, because she is elderly and does not speak English well. Someone finally comes out and helps her. There was another lady who was sitting on the couch that asked for help. I did not want to be nosy, but the employee that helped her was incredibly rude. The customer did not speak English well, which seemed to annoy the employee. The employees responses were very demeaning. As if because the customer did not speak English well, that she was stupid. Coming from an immigrant family it is highly upsetting because I've seen people talk like that to my family members. There was also a man standing in line behind me that asked a banker that was passing by if he needed to wait in line just to access his safety deposit box. The banker said he would find out, then never returned. That was 20 minutes ago. Also, there are a number of elderly customers that simply cannot stand for long periods of time. Some left, some sat in chairs asking strangers to hold their place in line.I am also an account holder at Chase bank. I have never had any issues at any Chase branch. Always enough tellers. Lines are always short and move fast. Every time I have entered a Bank of America branch the lines have been long with no tellers. This Castro Valley branch is the worst I've ever seen. The branch in Hayward, California on Hesperian is also bad. This is an embarrassment to the Bank of America brand. I would be embarrassed if I ran a business that operated in this manner. This is absolutely unacceptable!

I was at the branch and only one teller working, she was switching between business customers and consumers. Manager said they get complain all the time and only 1 teller working at all the time. They have 5 representatives sitting in office trying to sell loans, open accounts, etc..

I've been in line for 50min. now and the line outside keeps growing. Everytime we've come to this bank it's always this long, they need to take a close look at why they are so slow. Wait a second I see why they only have one teller working as others are roaming around the building. And they aren't the financial advisors either. I would go somewhere else but this is the closest and most convenient BofA. Ok, closest not convenient

This is some constructive criticism. I just went to do an address change. Something small and normal. I did see people outside but wasn't sure what was going on. Walked towards the entrance in the back the security guy very rudely shood me away and couldn't give me an explanation. He seemed busy on a phone call but not one of the employees outside could be bothered to give an explanation and then someone decided to yell to me that the bank was closed. Instead of being greeted so rudely I don't know have someone there to explain that the bank was closed for an emergency. I wasn't the only one confused... I even had to tell a lady myself because I didn't want her to experience the same rudeness from the security guy.

A nice little branch. No lines at the 3 ATMs, a pleasant security guard watching out for bad boys, and a few cheerful staff inside. No parking in front on CV Blvd, but there a huge free parking lot on the back.Oh, $1000 is the maximum withdrawal from the ATM. Yay, if have it!
