We have had our daughter at this preschool for over a year now. It has been a wonderful experience. The staff and owner are so very kind and flexible with my daughter's outside class schedule. They are attentive to all the children and their individual needs. My duaghter has blossomed in their care, going from being very shy and not talking much a year ago to now, where she is talkative, assertive, and engaging in classroom activities. She comes home everyday with a smile on her face and completed class projects to show me (crafts, drawing, painting, etc.). I am so glad we were able to find this place to take care of my daughter while her parents are at work.

We have a child at ABC and one who just graduated Pre-K. All around positive experience for both kids. The teachers are supportive and caring. We appreciate the Montessori-inspired curriculum where they are introduced to different continents of the world, shapes, numbers, home skills, and lots of play time. There is a lot of space for my kids to express their creativity and the growth and readiness of our older kid for Kindergarten is so appreciated. If you're a parent considering ABC for your kid, take a tour and see if it's a fit for your family.

We moved to Castro Valley about a year ago and were lucky to have found ABC Preschool. My daughter, Amira, loved the school, the teachers, and the friends she made there. She graduated from ABC Preschool last month, and while she's excited to go to kindergarten, she misses her friends and teachers and still talks about them a lot. We look forward to having our baby son join ABC Preschool as soon as he's old enough.

Very reasonably priced excellent daycare with good hours for working parents. My son and daughter both went here, had lots of friends, and came home happy every day. They have plenty of outdoor playtime and learned to be very independent little people here. You do not need to be potty trained to register at this school which is a huge plus. Teachers were also great at preparing my kids for preschool by teaching them how to write their name, numbers, and letters. Thanks for taking care of my children ABC.

My son spent the past a year in ABC and he is happy there. He made friends and learnt spanish! When we moved to Castro Valley about 2 years ago, we were on the waiting list for a couple of local daycare and since ABC has an opening last July, we got in. They are not very large comparing to BH that we previously went and the facility is just ok. But the teachers are great and my son particularly loves Teacher Maria and also teacher Emily, who can speak mandarin! They also have paid EC that includes science acitivities and soccor/gymnastic.Overall, we are happy for our experiences here.

I feel like I need to warn other parents about ABC. If you are reading positive reviews from before 2022, they are about the school when Ms Tansy was the director. Ownership has changed. Both our kids went to ABC when Ms Tansy was the director, and we had a generally positive, good experience. But a few months before our youngest went to kindergarten, Ms Tansy retired and sold the school to Ms Anu.In the months we were there with Ms Anu as director we had several negative experiences. She was generally inflexible, unfriendly, and profit-focused. But we had one incident where her conduct was completely unacceptable. We had a very scary incident that happened at the school and our kid potentially needed medical care as a result. We reached out to her, needing a rapid response to help figure out exactly what had happened at school. She was defensive, argumentative, slow to respond, and clearly more focused on protecting herself than helping us keep our child safe. I was shocked that she was spending time arguing and defending herself, rather than quickly providing us vital information in what literally could have been a life and death situation. In my opinion, this is unacceptable behavior when the health and safety of kids is concerned. As a parent it was infuriating to feel like our caregiver was not on our side in trying to protect our child. Afterwards we emailed her about our concerns around the way she'd handled it and she never responded in any way. Sadly, I feel an obligation to warn other parents about this school now.

Had a tour and was disappointed that the floor looked very dirty (we visited several other also at end of the day and they were much cleaner ...) and the lunch menu was not healthy.

My son started going to ABC as soon as he turned two, and today is his last day there before Kindergarten. It really is bittersweet- on one hand, we are so excited to start on our new adventure but on the other hand, we are sad to be leaving ABC! The quality of care he received at ABC was amazing- everyone from Ms. Tansy to all the teachers took such good care of him. They are compassionate and great educators. I am so thankful we found ABC and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daycare/preschool!

My girls has such a wonderful experience here. The staff are so professional and caring. I had to use them as a back up while my mother in law was out of town and they were absolutely wonderful. My girls learned something new everyday.
