I went in to buy a hair iron and brush but the attendant was so rude and unwilling that I couldn't think. She seemed very discouraged about working and without patience. This happened now. I never complain about customer service but today she surpassed it. 09/25/2023

For the past 6 months I purchase every 2 weeks and each time the prices goes up. It is no longer an advantage to buy at Sally's verses box packs at the grocery or drug stores.

(source: 8/21/2023-I am White. I am Elderly. (68 years old) I am a Woman. I'm a Grandma too, & my Grandson (9) w/ me. Today, I went to Salley's to buy hair dye. A very tall, Employee: (African Am) man was on"business phone".He came to the register. I was waiting; to pay for hair dye.Tall guy was "in charge". Kept rambling on and on. They were speaking 'jive.This went on for about 8 MORE minutes. He scanned my items. I placed my credit card in the machine to pay. He refused to follow thru w the transaction. When I saw him look at me I stated,"Could you please place that person on hold so we can finish my transaction?; I have an appointment and I have to leave." He replied "I will do whatever I want to do". Then he turned around to face the wall behind him ; ignoring me; still talking (and holding me hostage). All the while I am waiting. My credit card is in the machine. I waited another 8 minutes. I figured :(thinking) 'Well they have my credit card information'.I picked up the dye.I left the store. My car was parked close by. This gentleman apparently had time to follow me out of the store. He took a picture of my Car License Plate. (according to my Grandson). I got out of my car. I went back in. I asked for my receipt. (The transaction was still on the machine; not processed.) I stuck my CC back into the machine). The tall Employee was down the hallway; helping someone else. I have photos. He said "Just leave; take your stuff & just leave" I said "I want my receipt." He replied "You cannot have a receipt because you took the merchandise out of this store without paying for them." I was shocked!! My jaw dropped. I have NEVER stolen anything in my life. I do not have to. I stated "Please let me pay for these things, my CC is still in the machine". A young woman came out. She stood by the cash register. I asked her to please complete the transaction. She said "ok". BUT; He came over. He told her she "could NOT process or complete my transaction." (I think she was afraid of being fired. So she obeyed.) That is when I called 911... but of course I was transferred to the general LAPD number. I recall(ed) our police will not come to help us in matters such as this anymore. The Tall Employee called Security on me. A short, nice guy came thru the front door. I stated to him. "I am trying to pay for my items, please." The Tall Employee told Security to have me removed from the store. Security got on his phone pretending that he "Instantly" got thru to LAPD (like Batman) with a special line. HaHaHa!! He told me the Police were on their way to ARREST me. Then he stated to me. "Just take your CC out of the machine. Leave the stuff here. Go next door to buy it." "This Employee is refusing to provide services to you." Well, (and I replied) "There is no where else to buy it except in Culver City-- a 20 minute drive from here" . So, I have learned a valuable lesson. I will no longer support a brick and mortar store who treat old Grandmas like this. I'll order my next dye on line. I have told my hairdresser about what happened (and she lives close by and knows exactly who I was talking about. She saw him yesterday.) ; She told her Husband who is a manager at Ralphs. Now I will tell as many people, as will listen. And who will they tell???LA is too stressful. Rude. No respect to help out the elderly. I was discriminated against today. I am white. Lizzie was rude, kept having side conversation, and didn’t greet or even tell me my total. Failed a few basics of customer service. Was just an awkward experience. Kept yawning and was not professional. Asked her about the difference in two hair dyes. Lizzie didn’t even pay attention or look at what I pointed out. All she said was they’re different colors. Sometimes you can really tell someone really dislikes either their current job or just really didn’t want to be there. Usually the girls here are really nice.

The girl closed the store early and then did not want to open the door although it was still within store hours.. 7/3/23..I drove 30 min to get to this store and then she was rude about it. Wont be shopping at Sally's again.

Worst Sally's ever I purchased shampoo from another Sally's but couldn't use it because it wasn't meant for my blonde went to exchange it for something else and the girl who was at the register idk her name happened today 06/27/2023 @ 5:48pm seemed like she didn't even want to help me with the return since I paid with the Sally's credit card she straight up said idk how to do returns with a credit card purchase you should go back the Sally's where you purchased it from . Girl I'm here because the Sally's I purchased it at closes by the time I'm off of work. Ridiculous.

My dad purchased a $85 hair clipper at this store using cash. When we open the clipper, it was non functional, does not cut. We were not able to return right away as we got busy that same week. When we try to return it or atleast exchange it, the manager at the store stated we cannot return it any longer as the packaging is open. But we try to explain to her is the only way to find out if it is working or not, which is common sense! According to their policy which was written on the receipt itself that we can a refund or exchange an item as long as they are on their original packaging and we have the receipt and it is within 60 days of purchase. But she did not want to accept the return or even an exchange. The manager is very rude and does not even accept our explanation that the only way to find out if it works or not is we have to open it. How can you know if what you purchase is working or not unless you try to use it?!? Very bad costumer service, the manager is very rude to talk to. She does not deserve to be a manager at any store. I dont recommend going to this place. Make sure that if you buy something expensive at this store open it in front of them and try it before you leave the place or your money will just go to waste!

Came to this location because according to google they don’t close until 9:00 pm . My boyfriend went to open the door and it was locked , it was a little after 8:00 pm . Through the window you can see 1 employee at the register with dark roots with green / teal colored hair . She did not open the to let in a customer to buy the product He needed to buy. I thought by law stores arnt supposed to lock doors until they are closed . No note on the door saying they were closing early or anything . HORRIBLE .

The service was efficient, friendly, and helpful. I purchased a curling iron, flat iron, and a cosmetic item. I do not remember the service being this good when I last shopped at the this store. It's been at least 5 years. I was short on time, and thought I'd try it again. I am so glad I did. This store is in my neighborhood and I am so happy that I can happily spend my money in my locale.

I visited this store a couple times in the past month to inquire about a hair clipper they carry, and the workers were great. I didn't get the name of the woman who helped me the first time around, but I did get the name of the one who helped me during my second visit -- Iris. Like the other worker, Iris was friendly as well as open and patient with me, which I appreciate immensely. I received nothing but solid customer service.

Hours posted say the store closes at 8pm. It is currently 7:25pm and it's closed, doors locked, no workers. Update your hours or finish your shift!
