Wow, find another cashier please, 1 thats coherent, that isnt distracted at work and doesnt try to charge 15+ for 3 small items. I questioned the $$ and he changed the price, and asked if it was better, then gave me wrong change and kept the cash in his hand, instead of putting it in the register. The guy behind, a long time Carp resident came out behind me, he witnessed the cashiers behavior, the long time resident said to me, that was so sketchy!
I agree! Its not the 1st time ive had a wierd experience with this cashier, but it is my last. Gas, is worth grabbing here, but steer clear of the attendant. Everytime I have ever been there, he is there.
Single mom here, that works hard and doesnt ever need to feel swindled at a gas station.

I used the restroom and waited outside till the person inside came out and handed me the key I went inside to return the key and the manager a short old Hispanic lady that claimed to be the manager was really mad that I used the restroom she literally threw the key with disgust at the floor and said some rude comment I confronted her about and she pretty much blew me off and walked to the back ignoring her actions

Convenient because it's just off the highway (101), but the prices are generally unreasonable and the staff is mostly rude - certainly exuding a sense of their wanting to be anywhere else.

Just moved to carpinteria and I go to arco everyday for gas. Due to having an arco gas card for my work. This arco however is not that great. They have loads of stock for drinks. But don't keep the fridge stocked. I came in yesterday. Got the last 3 cold white monsters. Came back the next day. And there are no cold ones in the fridge. But 5hey have over 5 cases of them just sitting there not cold. I spent over $300 dollars a month at Arco between snacks and drinks for work and the company I work for pays for the gas everyday but this arco. Just may not be getting the business if they can't keep things stocked. There hot food isnt hot, its warm. And the cookies are cooked far to long. Off to 711 I go for some cold drink.

this place sucks a pregnant lady needed to use the restroom and they refused to her when they have a sign that said restroom for paying customers only, what a rip off.

Found this place on Gas Buddy. It had a really good rate if you paid cash. $4.89 a gallon. It's a good app. You don't have to join, it works to find you inexpensive gas near you.

No bathrooms here therefore no hope for weary travelers. The red eyed cash registrar was little help. I would have spent money here if they had even the barest of accomodations, but the place is dirty AF so it's probably for the best tbh. Why am I so angry? I was just stuck in traffic for over an hour and this was the first gas station available. You'd think they'd at least put a piss bucket out back or something! One star. No hope. Turn back.

The clerk was super rude. The sign says paying customers can use the restrooms. Well, we were paying customers and she lied and said the bathrooms were being cleaned.
