It’s been years since my daughter Flora has gone here. They were so caring and thoughtful that to this day I remember how awesome they were to Flora. Now that I have found this school again I will absolutely be recommending them to all my friends and family.

Since I've been taking my daughter here. I have witnessed teachers frantically looking for missing children, because they are so severely under staffed with qualified personnel that kids wonder around outside. I watched the owner dragging a little Boy around by the arm while she cleaned. Because once again, they don't have the proper staff to look after children who need special help. They have received multiple citations because of this. The owner of the day care forces her strict diet on the children, even though she does not provide them with any lunches only snacks. I mean, there is probably a pretty good reason. After all, some parents bring in cold, hot dogs and macaroni cheese and a Sandwich bag and call that lunch. Finally the new language my daughter is learning because they co-mingle the toddlers with the school age children who are using bad language. I would advise any parent taking a child here to please do your research, look at the location and look at the staff. Most of the staff are amazing, well besides the owner a d teacher lisa I would not trust them. Especially if you're a single father. They like to change Child action to make the single father more out of pocket. I wonder what their real review would be I they didn't have teachers who are/were employed there give 5stars

I would like to respond to William Owen's review of Wee Tymes Playschool. His negativity did not come about till 1. He parted ways with his child's mother for whom we have cared for her older 3 children that are not his since infancy and 2. Was asked he pay his child care bill.Mr. Owen's child is NOT a toddler rather a 3 year old preschooler although his child started at the center when she was under the age of 2 years. Yes, parents do provide their children with lunches and we have little to no control what the parents bring for their children lunches. He mentions kids being sent with cold hot dogs well his own child has been sent with cold hot dogs which staff heat and cut up so they are not a choking hazard. A few years ago the center experienced a major fire where the main building was severely damaged and we had no ability to cook. Prior to that the center provided nutritious well balanced breakfast and lunches much of which cooked from scratch in addition to the 2 snacks we continue to serve. After the main building was repaired and we once again had a full working kitchen a management decision was made to continue having parents provide lunches for time management reasons. The director Danelle Ingalls does not force the children to adhere to her personal dietary choices. She does serve 2 snacks a day that are of minimal salt and sugar content. To address qualifications of staff licensing regularly audit staff files to ensure that each staff meets the requirements to work with children including being current on their CPR first Aid.The mingling of preschool children and school age children the center is allowed per licensing to do as the license for the center is approved for. His child has 3 older school age siblings so does he not want them mingling with his daughter? As to the language he states his daughter picked up at the center. His childs siblings have spoken inappropriately in front of his child and she has come to the center speaking of video games and movies that would not be age appropriate for her to view so it's unlikely she learned this vocabulary from center kids. Mr. Owen's has no clue as to what goes on in the center on a day to day basis as he gets a small glimpse when dropping off and picking up his child. He has no concept of development of children as a whole. Children learn in more than one way and one of those ways is through play. There does not need to a formal curriculum for a child to learn. At no time has the director Danelle Ingalls ever dragged a child through the center as she did her work. There have been children who walk along side the director as she does her work. The child is usually with her due disruptive challenging. It is not because the teachers are not qualified to handle challenging behaviors it's they have 8 to to 12 children to supervise and care for and when you have child being so disruptive that it impairs the ability for the teacher to adequately care for children as a whole children will be sent to the director for a brief time outside the classroom. Mr Owen has no experience or education to know how to handle children much less those with challenging behaviors. The Center has never "lost" a child. Regular head counts are done and when a child is discovered to not be with the group a teacher is sent to search out child who often in the play yard who has hidden in corner out of site or has entered building to use restroom and not told the teacher that went in.Overall we have plenty of staff to cover the number of children we have but as life has it unforseen circumstances beyond control such as illness, Injury and emergency that lead to being short staffed and center is forced to group kids with the older kids which is allowed per licensing vs. Closing center for the day leaving many parents in the lurch unable to work. Mr. Owen's at the end of the day has no clue what it takes to operate a child care center on any given day, what qualifications are required for the teachers.Mr. Owen's I'd often abrasive with st

It is a NO for me for several different reasons. When they told me they weren't able to give my daughter the support that she needed anymore due to their lack of staffing. I'm thankful I was already looking for another preschool ahead of time so we were out of there by the end of that week into a new program. There were times when I would go to pick up my daughter and I would see the Director shouting at children or putting them in time out at one point my daughter saw this and it made her cry and uncomfortable. She would come home in different clothes due to getting wet from outside, being sent home with her entire outfit in a bag soaked , Her lunchbox would still be full of her food and they will let the kids play outside in the freezing cold weather and the kids where always sick still allowed to attend school that day. They weren't taking kids temperatures upon arrival and they would have the kids wash their hands when they first arrived and the water would be freezing cold and would not warm up. I would also supply plenty of pull-ups and wipes and my daughter would come home in different diapers, Not the ones that were given for her. My daughter was not learning much there. At least that's my opinion and she would always come home grumpy and she would cry when I would drop her off but normally she doesn't do that, will pick her up and she would have a scratch or an injury, and they would say that they don't know how it happened. She would come home with splinters in her hand, Again, so when they told me, they couldn't support my daughter anymore due to their staffing. I was very thankful because I had already found another program and was already looking to get her out of there. I am thankful that I found a new preschool that supports my daughter in all the ways that she needs. Her new preschool communicates with me throughout the day to let me know when she's eating, What she's eating and when she's going to the bathroom and her mood throughout the day, as well as letting me know how long she slept through her nap and the exact times. This school did not provide that for me or my child and that's why I'm giving them the rating that has been given. I don't even feel like my child was given the chance to be able to open up. She was only there for eight weeks. Wasted a lot of money out of pocket and I was very upset with the experience she was given. I do have to mention, though there was one teacher that she really liked and I do appreciate her and I believe she stopped working there for her own reasons right before I took her out of that daycare/Preschool. There's a lot more to say about the things that I observed, but you guys get the gist of it. I just wanted to give my honest review. I know for some people it may be a completely different experience, but this was my experience unfortunately

It easy to write good reviews. The director puts on a good show for the parents same healthy meals and the home style environment. But you need to look deeper. Check out licensing for complaints. There are thing that are not even reported. This place should be close. But so long as employees and parents close their eyes it will remain open. It not a school but a daycare with no real curriculum. Children age group are mix quite often with results of children being hurt. Parents are never told the real truth. Sick Children are never sent home. Teachers are not CPR certified. Look into other preschools for education and safety. There are better places.

We went around and visited about 7 daycare centers. We visited a private home, the really expensive place in the federal building by Kaiser, and everything in between. We saw some crazy stuff in the home. Never would I put my child in the care of a single individual. Especially someone who is going to step on a Cheerio with their bare feet then put it back on the plate the child is eating from. That happened during our interview! lol Other places were too sterile and institutional with the children under fluorescent lighting all day. One place had workers with oily hair and one that just stared at our child with no expression on her face. The people seemed depressed except for the manager who we really liked. So, we are not uptight people but sensitive to our environment.Ok...so off to Wee Tymes. During the phone call the owner said come on by whenever you want. Ok...that was cool. Right away I sensed passion for what they do and love for children. The place is very family oriented. The people there have been doing it for years, so they must love what they do. Individuals were clean and happy people. When I saw the natural light coming in from large windows and a huge sky light I was feeling really good about the place. When we got home we prayed and thought about it all. Wee Tymes was the perfect fit. My wife and I both felt really comfortable about the place. After about 6 months of being at Wee Times we have seen nothing but love for the children and children that are happy and close to the childcare providers.I would highly recommend Wee Tymes to anyone having to trust others to care for their child.

My 2 daughters 5 years and 4 years old have been going to this daycare since the 4 year old was only a few months old.we have been through the fire with them where she has had to replace many things, and she genuinely cares for each child.my children learn and know how to spell their names, and colors, shapes, letters, etc.they love the fact they go outside multiple times a day, to get their energy out as the kids say, and it helps them when it is time to take a nap.she loves the job she does and would recommend this place for someone that likes the "home" feeling as opposed to a "daycare" feeling.

I love that its the only daycare/infant center that has a skylight, which would provide my baby with the Vit D she needs, and we've visited many. I also observed that the caregivers really do love children and its not just a 'job' for them like most daycares we've visited. The children there are sweet and well- behaved. Proof of how they are being trained. My baby is 5 mos. old.

Everything the other review says is true. There is no curriculum at this center. I have seen the children being yelled at. I am a Early Childhood Education student and everything I am learning in school is NOT being done at this facility. I just want to warn parents to really do there research and check this place out. Children eat, go outside, eat again, take a nap, go outside again. The children are not learning anything. The playground equipment is old and yes does have spiders in it. There isn't any shade for the playground the toddlers play at. The infant room is used as a storage room. They use old, torn beds and mats for the infants and toddlers. The owner allows sick children to come and then gets all the other children sick. This is something she is not supposed to do as a licensed child care facility. I am really shocked that she is allowed to run this facility. Please parents don't bring your children there. Just go and observe and you will see for yourself.

Wee Tyme was a good choice for my kids when we moved to the Sacramento area in 2009. I find the Director, Danelle extremely accommodating which alleviated a lot of stress from a full-time working mother like me. My kids looked forward going to school and loved their teachers and friends. I sincerely believe Danelle is doing her best to create a positive learning environment for the kids, and at the same time being considerate to the parents. My kids are 7 and 5 now, and I still take them back to Wee Tyme from time to time.
