So it’s Saturday night and I’m sitting on the hastily purchased air mattress my fiancé bought this afternoon. Why, you ask? Because Safe Moving Company, the movers who agreed to move us into our new home today never showed up.
In May, my fiancé found Safe Moving Company on a certain app and after reading their reviews and talking to Brandon (the owner) a few times, we decided that Safe Moving would handle our move.
On July 18, my fiancé contacted Brandon to confirm that the move was still on for the following weekend and discuss sanitation issues (this being the COVID era). Brandon confirmed that the move was still on, but informed us that his staff would not be wearing any masks (which in hindsight should’ve been a red flag). We thought it a little weird, but we figured it would probably be a little difficult to move furniture in and out of a truck with a mask on, so we decided we’d minimize OUR risk by wearing our masks and having them wash/sanitize their hands/sanitizing their shoes when they arrived.
But they never arrived.
At approximately 11am, after we’d made several attempts to call the company to check their location and receiving no response to our phone calls, text messages or voicemails we began looking for alternatives.
It’s now been nearly 12 hours since they should’ve shown up at our home and we have yet to receive ANY sort of acknowledgment or response despite repeated phone calls and texts. I understand things happen (accidents, oversight, emergencies, etc.), but what I find the apex of unprofessionalism is the fact that we received ZERO response. Nothing. None.
Instead, we were left scrambling at the last minute to try and find another moving company or rent a moving truck (both of which are in high demand and short supply right now). After calling the nearest 6 cities with no luck, we were finally able to find and reserve a moving truck for tomorrow and I was able to scrounge up (i.e. guilt) some family members into agreeing to help us move.
Words cannot adequately express the rage I feel. Particularly as we have been in contact with this company since May and my fiancé had texted Brandon last night to confirm payment information.
Communication is KEY in the service industry and we received none.
This delay has cost us both time and money and as others on here have stated, I too, can now attest that you should NOT hire Safe Moving for your needs nor will I be recommending them to anyone in the future. Instead, I’m sitting here on this sad air mattress we picked up at Target because our bed is broken down (but ready to be moved!) and lying next to our mattress in the garage waiting for the movers who never came.

I asked Brandon to haul my rusted out 69 GTX convertible from Detroit to Austin. I never thought twice about using him as I've seen so many other car owners recommend him. Great communication and everything was done upfront with no surprises. He gave me updates as he picked up the car, was driving, and when he would deliver, which made it easy for me to plan the pick up and be here to accept my car. If and when I ever need a car hauled, ANY CAR, I will use Brandon. I highly recommend his services and he treats the car and customer with respect. And I made a friend that loves Mopars as much as I do. Thanks Brandon, sorry it took so long to give you your props.

Friendly movers but very unprofessional. Arrived 1.5 hours late, scuffed & damaged our freshly painted walls, didn’t wrap all the furniture so many pieces are filthy from the truck, and would not move our TVs (so we had to return to house to pick them up). Did not cover carpets or pad walls to prevent damage. Upon opening boxes, found many items broken. Not a pleasant experience, wouldn’t use again or ever recommend.

Brandon has transported my car several times. He’s always on time and stays in contact. Would recommend him to anyone.

Believe every single one of these bad, horrible reviews! Two guys showed up an hour late, high, and then stole property. Found in his car. Neighbors witnessed him admitting and apologizing. When I asked for compensation, a full refund, the owner went into a tirade, made threats and said he would file a police report if I filed a review. The owner is rude and unprofessional with zero customer service.

I don't recommend a mover that threatens customers. Stay away for the sake of your families safety.

Isn't it funny how brandon gives his own business 5 stars. He sent thugs who were late to our house. We left the same time as them and stopped to eat for an hour and when we got to our new house we still had to wait two hours for them to arrive. Two had alcohol on their breath. They damaged our master bed, scratched our tile floor, gouged our dining table, scratched our washer and dryer, broke our sons remote control airplanes, broke our Neiman Marcus wardrobe mirror, chipped our door frames and scratched our door, damaged several antique alcohol decanters and then over charged us by over $1000. Brandon had four thugs stand in Our garage and refuse to leave until we overpaid them. When they left i tipped them to drive two blocks to drop a washer at my friends. They left all of their garbage (water bottles Gatorade etc that I bought for them, in front of my house and in front of my friends. Brandon said he would fix my tile, my master bed and reimburse me $750 because he checked his gps and saw that his guys stopped for a two hour lunch and at a liquor store. He said his guys confessed they drank. After several unanswered calls i called Brandon from a blocked number. He said he wasn't going to pay me or fix anything and I would have to sue him. He cannot be trusted. His word is useless and he is a liar and a shiester. He will use other company names because of bad reviews and says his business is closed but check his Facebook he is still operating. Check him out he lives in Carmichael and uses his home address as his business address. I will get my pound of flesh when he least expects it.

Seriously Damariay and Steven were the best guys. They even came back to jumped our car after spending 10 hours moving our house. They couldn't have been nicer, faster or more efficient not to mention courteous and polite.
