This store has the most caring and nice staff.

Edit: RiteAid did reach out but their representative (Susan or something) made everything far, far worse. She was rude and condescending. She told me a HUGE lie about what time they received the order, and spent a considerable amount of time bashing our doctor. As well, she would NOT let me speak at all. She spoke over me for so long I hung up. After four attempts I’ve tried to go elsewhere but RiteAid simply won’t fax my info over. It’s been three days and I’m still waiting for my son’s antibiotic and pain medications. I called the doctor and asked her to change my pharmacy to CVS asap.

I've used the RiteAid on Manzanita for several years and just have to comment on their exceptional customer service today while I'm getting my travel shots. Pharmacy staff have always gone above and beyond and are extremely helpful. One situation involved me needing to pay for my son's Rx out of pocket. The pharmacy person helped me get a refund and found a way to get it covered under insurance. I'm not sure other pharmacies would have gone out of their way to do that. Thank you for exceeding my expectations!

Third trip to this Pharmacy. Same story. At least they called me this time to say the Scrips were ready. However because I use GoodRX, they had to refill them with a different formulary while I waited (again). Better than last time. "Come back this evening, we don't have them ready," then only one of the two was ready. Two more trips (5 total) to pick up the additional (2) prescriptions. Except they didn't have the second one, This time they insisted they had already filled it, so I couldn't get a refill. The one star is a gift. If I could, I'd post a negative 2.

Ever since the new pharmacist took over the pharmacy has been lacking. Every time I go to pick up my prescriptions I have to wait. It does not matter if I call it in and pick it up the next day or two days latter, I still have to wait. The reason people call ahead is that they just want to pick it up and go! Many times I have to wait in line (they cannot help that) but then then having to wait another 10 - 15 min on top of that WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN READY IN THE FIRST PLACE is poor customer service. Looking for another pharmacy....

I’m loyal to my preferred Rite Aid pharmacy, but this one is close to my house, so I gave it a few chances. Today I am done. Today they sent me out the door with 3 prescriptions that were intended for someone else. Seriously? I acknowledge my part in not checking the bottles before I paid, but that’s unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Fortunately, because it seemed too expensive, I checked in the car and returned them immediately. Unopened—not that anyone checked.

Understaffed and very rude. Will never recommend. Take your pharmacy needs anywhere else. You've been warned!

Pharmacist was incredibly nice and helpful! Shelves were stocked but not enough to take advantage of the deals (buy so many of the same to get a certain price). Understandable though. Associates were present although no one on the sales floor approached me or asked if I needed help. But overall good experience.

An awful pharmacy. I have issues almost every time I need to get my prescription. It's either they won't let me pick it up until the morning I am out, then won't have it filled until the end of the afternoon. It's so rude and dehumanizing to call and try to get help with something they hang the phone up before you're even realized the conversation might be over. I am so disappointed I live next to this pharmacy and have to drive further to a decent one. So frustrating every time I need to get something filled. Every time I call, I get a different answer about every question I have. Some staff are nice. Some are assholes. It's like playing the lottery to get my meds. So awful

I just want to say I've been going here since July/August of 2021 and I have never had a problem or any issues with anyone working here. It's shockingly sad to see people putting down Chris, the pharmacist, and saying he's rude and unprofessional.... I have always had a good experience with all the staff here!I genuinely love the staff here, Chris and Robert are wonderful pharmacists and have never been rude or condescending like others have said. I come in a few times a month, I have prescription medications that are controlled, and I have never had a problem or been questioned about my medication regimen. I have ALWAYS been treated with respect and kindness.I never have to wait more than 15 minutes for a RX I've needed right away, or had to wait to be filled. They always know when I come to get my meds and have it ready for me 90% of the time right when I walk in.Everyone here, front end and pharmacy staff, have been wonderful to me and nothing but professional and welcoming over the past year that I've been coming here. I sincerely appreciate the hustle and care I see from the pharmacists and pharmacy techs here. hopefully whoever responds and reads these comments give you all props for running a great pharmacy :)

The ABSOLUTE WORST pharmacy I have EVER been to. I was forced to have my prescriptions sent there after my local wonderful pharmacy was literally driven through. I have gotten my prescriptions refilled twice. Both times the pharmacist and/or assistant were rude and lacked any empathy or human kindness at all. Called my latest refill in five days ago. No notifications that it was ready. Called to check in it and the rude pharmacist or associate answered the phone and was so rude I transferred my prescriptions to another location. Stay away. They don't give a crap about their job or their customers. Shame on you Rite Aid for letting them continue to treat customers like this.

The store itself is ok, but the pharmacy is a nightmare. The pharmacist is always very rude. Patients are treated like garbage. Free advice: go literally anywhere else.

Never had a bad experience here. Most people that work here are fantastic, there's only one person I don't care for, but thankfully they're not in the pharmacy. Chris and Robert are fantastic pharmacists, and their other pharmacy techs/staff are amazing and always know what I'm there for since I've been coming here for the better part of a year now. I originally came for the pharmacy because it's walking distance for me, but I stayed because they're fantastic and haven't messed anything up, ever. Not all the retail staff are great but most are and I can't complain with how great the majority of them and all of the pharmacy staff are.

I come here often because it's a nice small store. Usually no wait at check out.

I had to pick up a prescription that was transferred from the store on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights to the store in Manzanita in CARMICHAEL. I was not greeted on entrance into the store like I was at the Citrus Heights store. The pharmacy tech told me that it wasn’t there and that I would have to wait until they contacted my doctor for refill. So I decided to buy ice cream the associate at the register did not ask me to put in my phone number did not give me a chance to put the phone number in so I was not able to use my 20% discount on my purchase of ice cream. Fortunately the associate at ice cream counter was extremely friendly and very helpful. I don’t shop at this store normally because the staff is so rude and unfriendly . I’m not looking forward to going there again but that’s where my pharmacy items will be until the repairs are done at the pharmacy on Auburn Boulevard .
