Wonderful shop full of amazing socks! So many fun variety's. You can find great gifts for anyone! Also.. Great selection of fun candles. If you are a sock/candle lover, I highly recommend stopping in and checking this shop out.

This one of those places that's so overtly kitschy and touristy, one of those that each city has. Yet, I couldn't resist--and sure enough, boom: it has loads and loads of interesting color and pattern saturated socks. Here's the irony: I don't actually even wear that many socks, e.g. I'm more of an Uggs, pumps and sandals or bare feet in the house kinda gal, but a testimony to this shop is their waters, the variety and price point. Again, perfect for gifting. It really is a curse of sorts to be as generous as I am cuz I'm always thinking about giving stuff to others whenever I see something that reminds me of someone. Very friendly staff and the prices can't be beat.

We did some shopping in Carmel. I like socks, so it was fun to go sock shopping at Sock Shop Carmel. They have a good variety of socks to choose from.

The sock shop is a fun stop for any sock lovers. We came upon it while visiting Carmel and strolling through downtown. Huge selection of socks to choose from.

Used to love this shop. Today, not so much. I've been looking for navy non control top tights and thought I could readily find them here. I asked for assistance because black and navy are close in color especially in a dimly lit area. Nope - you just need to look, said the person. She was not a salesperson you see, just standing there living up to every stereotype that reflects Carmel-by-the-Sea's noblesse oblige attitude. So I took down every tight, had to bring them close to see the size because each one was labeled differently. And I had to turn them over to read the label to see if they were black or navy. When I did not find any navy, I had to put them back on the hooks and they were so high up. No assistance. Nope - not a peep. Won't be returning. Ever.

One of my favorite shops of all time. I buy most of my Christmas gifts here and they are always a huge hit with friends and relatives. Socks are so original, creative, and timely, that college kids love them, young kids love them, women are nuts about them (especially the knee highs), and there are sport type socks and specialized guy stuff. There are socks for all professions. One of my favorites is Frida Kahlo's face and the fun is that on one sock, you find her face along with the face of Diego Rivera and on the other sock of that same pair, you'll find her face along with her other lover, Leon Trotsky. What a conversation piece that pair of socks is! Some have beautiful flowers that appear to be embroidered on the socks. Even if you don't want to buy any, you should drop in for a look in one of the most unique of all stores.
