My husband and I spent a few days here for my 60th Birthday and had the time. We haven't been here in a long time and first time since the they've remodeled. All I can say was the grounds, rooms, food and hospitality was amazing! We will definitely be coming back again!

Loved our mid-week getaway here. It's got an old school vibe, and the property is beautifully maintained and very clean. We had a quiet spot by the pool and enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods on their rented bikes. Staff was attentive and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a relaxing time at this serene and low-key resort. Conveniently located for a quick drive into downtown Carmel.

My husband brought me here for my birthday weekend and what a BEAUTIFUL place. The rooms are big and comfortable. He got a bungalow and the tub and showers are huge. Their products are really nice and everything is decorated beautifully. I love all of the local plants throughout the lodge and the breakfast is delicious. If you get those tiny roasted potatoes, ask for a side of their aioli for dipping. So tasty.

Very nice property with some golfing. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Pool is nice and warm, although there's no hot tub. Gym facilities are OK. Breakfast in the restaurant was quite good and fairly priced. Location is conveniently close to Highway 1, but still feels a bit separated from all the tourists in Carmel. Only downside is the very few EV chargers, and you have to pay for charging.

The beds here are terrible, pillows were totally old. You will not get a good night's sleep.

I travel a lot for work, this is one of the few places that does it right. The staff is well informed, friendly, and helpful. The grounds are immaculate. The beds and pillows are top notch (this is the only hotel I've been to in years that I've enjoyed the pillow). They get all of the finishes and all of the little things right. I love this place, I can't wait to come back.

Wife and I came up for a couple of days on our way to the Chelsea FC match at Levi's. Have never spent time in Carmel but it was absolutely amazing. Property is clean and nice. Room was incredible. Large and spacious. Great TV and cozy balcony. Bath robes. Large tub big enough for two (wink wink). Restaurant was great. Had breakfast there with a nice little lake view. Only a 10 min drive from downtown Carmel and about an hour from Big Sur. Dog friendly which is great as next time we come up we'd love to bring the little ones. Thank you for a great stay.

I was planning on a golf vacation to the Pebble area. Scheduled a couple of private lessons and a playing lesson with one of the pros at Spanish Bay. Now for the good, the bad, and the ugly. The bad and ugly was how disrespectful the people at Spanish Bay (from the parking lot attendant to the General Manager) as well as the Pebble Beach golf reservations staff (read the review under Spanish Bay Golf Links). Now for the good - I moved over to Quail Lodge and this salvaged my week golf vacation. Everyone that I w encountered has been focused on making my stay enjoyable. Is it expensive - it depends - calling the lodge directly will cost $400 for a bungalow (booking.com) is 25% less but it's still cheaper than the $1200/night at Spanish Bay where you are treated as a servant rather than as a guest. I have already booked another stay at Quail Lodge.

Stayed overnight for our anniversary. The room was very nice and the views are always amazing. Right in our backyard, so we stay here when we can.

We just came back from a two night stay and it was great. We've stayed here a number of times in the past.
If you want to relax, Quail Lodge & Golf Club is a really nice place to stay. There's only 93 guestrooms and each have a private deck or patio that overlooks the golf course, lake or gardens. Our room overlooked the golf course and was really nice and peaceful. Because there aren't too many rooms, you can walk around without seeing too many people if any at all. There are firepits in different areas and there's a swimming pool and fitness center. On one side of the Lodge there's a nine hole putting green and it's challenging. You can borrow a putter & golf balls. In the Lodge is The Covey restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food is very good! There's a nice outside deck with dining tables overlooking the lake. You can also go to Edgar's restaurant at the golf course.
All the employees were really nice! Pets are also allowed and you do self parking.
I would ask for a room the furthest away from Carmel Valley Road so that you don't hear the traffic.
We will return.
Nearby activities: The Lodge isn't too far from The Barnyard, Rio Crossroads shopping center, Carmel Valley Village, Carmel, Pebble Beach and Monterey.
Walkability: It's a nice area to take a walk. You can walk to the golf course.
