I made an appointment to get an up-do done for an engagement photo shoot with Kenny. I showed a picture of how I wanted it, and my hair turned out nothing like the picture. My hair took only 20 minutes to complete and I got charged $175. What seemed like a whole can of hairspray was used on my head as my hair felt like top ramen. There was really no effort put into my hairstyle and that cost that I was charged for what I received was unacceptable. I was so upset to see how my hair came out after receiving my engagement photos-from every angle it looked sloppy and messy.

This is my second visit here, I'm a New Yorker who has been spending the winter months in Carmel. I went to Kenny last week for single process color and a badly needed haircut and he did a great job. Was able to match my formula and cut exactly as I asked. The salon is quiet and spacious. Definitely my go to salon here!

So happy! I got extensions from Fellini salon a couple weeks ago and I am just loving them. Kass did an amazing job. She's so welcoming and so professional. I felt very comfortable and confident in her chair. She really listened to what I envisioned for my hair and the end result is beyond what I expected! The extensions blend perfectly. It looks and feels so natural.

Kassidy Cosmero at Fellini Salon works wonders! She is very professional and kind. I went in for a consultation because I was wanting extensions. She matched my hair perfectly!! The second time getting extensions by Kassidy, she colored my hair as well. She is a blonde expert and it was exactly what i was looking for. She keeps my hair healthy & puts the extensions in the perfect places so you cant see them when i put my hair up. That was very important to me since i wear my hair up a lot. I would recommend Kassidy 100000%! Shes your go-to girl for highlights and extensions. Thank you Kassidy

I decided to try this salon after reading the wonderful reviews and I am so glad I did!! I've been wanting to change up my hair color for a while, Martin not only made me feel at ease right away but he listened to my needs and delivered a perfect result! He is THE BEST at his craft! I've gotten SO many compliments on my hair. THANK YOU MARTIN, I love my hair!! Can't wait for my next appointment.

I moved to Carmel full time recently and have been seeing Kassidy every month for the last 6 months. I've had her do everything from color, cuts, to smoothing treatments, and our newest experiment with my hair: extensions! I even have my mom going to her now. I love having vivid colors in my hair, without the added damage of bleach, since I always like a black base, so Kassidy turned me to multiple different types of extensions methods. I've had both I-tips and hand-tied wefts and love them! I completely trust Kassidy from her color choices, to just a simple cut to my hair. I'm so happy to finally have found someone I can relate to and understands the importance of keeping the integrity of my hair, while still understanding that I like a little wow factor in it. Go see her! You will not be disappointed!

First of all, I do not write bad reviews lightly. But I left this salon with half of my hair and bluntly chopped off ends so bad I could not even bear to look at them. I have a lot of hair, and was trying to get my hair fixed from a previous bad hair cut. I normally would not go to such an expensive salon, but I was just so tired of getting bad hair cuts, I thought I'd just pay the extra $$ and get a really good, professional one. But the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. Kenny was nice enough, but clearly did not allot himself enough time as his next client was already there waiting while he was washing my hair. 45 minutes for a consult, wash, cut, and blow dry is simply not enough time- I don't care how good you think you are or fast you can do it. He sped through the entire appointment, washed my hair in a total of 5 minutes, and didn't bother to take the proper time to fix the very bluntly chopped off ends he did when I asked him to. I told him I did not like a blunt, straight across cut. He did not spend more than a minute, maybe, trying to fix it. I also left the salon with the back of my sweatshirt drenched in water because he rushed through the wash. During the blow dry, hair was being whipped and pulled in every direction. I kept wincing because he aimed the blow dryer directly in my face several times, blowing wet hair and hot air into my eyes. It was extremely unpleasant and painful. The worst part of it all was this whole experience cost a whopping $110 not including tip. I am from the LA area and have had far better hair cuts for far less. Even though he fixed the rough choppy layers I came in with, I now just have a different bad cut. Word of advice for this salon - give stylists enough time to be able to appropriately provide the high-quality service you advertise to EVERY customer, no matter the skill level the service requires or the cost.

I tried this place 3 times before writing this review. Every time I told him ( their so called colorist) what color I wanted and always got a very brassy shade which I hate!

Great hair salon with precision cut! Kassidy is the best! I have lived in L.A., New York, Seattle, Atlanta, Taipei, and in each city I can only find one person who can cut my short hair properly. I got a disaster haircut from another salon in Carmel Valley right before Christmas, and they did not have time to fix it. Out of desperation and just by coincidence I found Fellini salon. Kassidy was very kind to do a quick fix to help me get through the holidays. Six weeks later, I went back to her to trim off the rest of that uneven haircut so that it can grow out and become more manageable. Kassidy is patient, detailed-oriented, calm, respectful, and communitive with her assessment of my hair and what she is going to do to amend the error. I am very impressed with her unique skill which I can only find one in a bit city in the past. Thank you Kassidy for giving me a good cut and making a big difference to my every-day life!

Got an AMAZING highlight + root smudge from Martin! He's very attentive, and gave me exactly what I came in asking for! He paid close attention to my inspiration pictures to make sure he got the look exactly right. A bit pricey, but that's expected in Carmel, so it didn't put me off. I'm 20 years old, and wanted a hairstylist that understood the fresh, in-style look I was going for. Many salons in town nowadays seem outdated, but Fellini is definitely the most modern and current salon in the area. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at Fellini Salon! I do not live in the area, but had my wedding in Carmel-by-the-Sea and had to find a salon to get my bridal hair updo and makeup. It was super easy and convenient to get an appointment - their online system is great. In the middle of the known chaos of preparing for a wedding ceremony, I got to an empty salon - Kenny was expecting me and there was no one else there. I showed him some ideas of what I wanted to do with my hair and he gave me a great suggestion and the result was amazing. He is a very talented hair stylist. The updo was super elegant and lasted the entire day, even though the ceremony took place by the beach. The make up could not have been more perfect. On top of that, he finished everything half an hour ahead of the scheduled. I strongly recommend Fellini Salon!

Kenney is the best! He is the perfect combination of being an expert hairstylist, attentive to the look you're going for and perfectly executes...all while being kind, funny, and personable. So happy I found my go-to hair salon in Carmel! Plus, his salon is beautiful.
