“This is a very nice cozy store. It's very pleasing to look at. I like the style in which it was built.This store has plenty of items to purchase from souvenirs, fancy waters, sandwiches, Mexican coke, wine, beer, etc...A very convenient store.The telephone booths outside are a nice touch to this beautiful property.”

Snacks and candy, not much by the way of fresh fruit but there are limes and lemons. No wine packaging for trips but awesome customer service and fun counter culture. Recommended. They price match with total wine so you won't have to drive across town as a local or a tourist.”
“Today, I walked over to the floral department at Carmel Safeway and was cheerfully greeted by Aurora and asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been acknowledged before while floral shopping, so I felt extremely welcomed. Aurora helped me pick out a couple of small plants and a balloon for a friend's birthday. I can be pretty indecisive, but she helped so much by asking me the right questions and helping me pick the healthiest looking flowers. Her enthusiasm for helping me find the right gift was extremely appreciated. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and I will not need to think twice before coming back next time I need any plants or flowers, and I will be recommending this Safeway's floral department to everyone I know! “Decided to get a breakfast burrito here before my doctors appointment. Review is strictly for the deli department, this is just about the best breakfast you can have, if you want it fast that is. It's always fresh, delicious, 100% recommend always. Truthfully I could eat one of their breakfast burritos from Safeway every morning if calories weren't real. Great breakfast overall, and very filling. They have tons of options you can choose from; bacon, sausage or ham or you can have all three to make it a trio - thank you!”
“The store has recently been purchased and the not so friendly previous owners are no longer involved or around. The new owners are super nice and really cool people. The store is super clean now and has so much new product to offer. Organic, local, eco friendly, climate change friendly and fresh. They really are doing their part to make the world a better place and bringing a fresh new store to the beautiful town of Carmel by the Sea. If you have never been, you should check it out and if you have, you should give the store another try. You will be pleasantly surprised with what you find. Nielsen Brothers Market is a long time staple of the city and I'm so happy to see all the positive changes they are making.”
