This is the best clothing boutique that I've ever walked into. So many beautiful things and the most knowledgeable staff. Everyone I take there, loves it as well. Great dresses, sweaters, accessories and jeans!

Here within are threads from Heaven. Oh, the beautiful clothes! Racks and racks of splendid things. No, I'm not a local, just visiting from an hour away on the Peninsula but the staff was more than nice. I bought a Zimmermann blouse that was half off and no (per other reviews), nobody turned their nose up. In fact, the young lady who helped me was exceedingly pleasant, showing me many ways to style two different pieces that I was considering. Yes, there were regulars in the store and yes, they made large purchases and yes, the staff may have been particularly solicitous -- this is a business, people, not a nonprofit. What do you expect? If I had a ton of money I would come here every week. So instead, maybe I'll drop in once per year. I occasionally walk past Zimmermann on Hudson (NYC) and I am so excited to own a piece! Thank you for the lovely shopping experience.

The store does not post a refund policy anywhere. I bought a pair of gold filled pierced earrings at this store. When I wore them the wires that go through the ears turned my ears black. When I tried to return them (within one month with proof of purchase) the sales girl offered me a store credit. I have never been able to find anything that works for me in this place. Accordingly I asked for a refund instead. California Civil Code section 1723 allows a customer to return the purchased item with proof of purchase for a full refund within 30 days. I reminded the salesgirl of the law. She told me the law was not their policy. The salesgirl was quite nasty and tossed the receipt at me. I left the earrings there and asked for Sweet Pea, the owner, who was then absent, to call me. She never did. Two months later, I am still waiting for her call. Thank you Sweet Pea, for showing me how you really feel about your customers. Avoid this establishment as they treat their customers who politely request a refund with contempt and disrespect. They are fine with violating the law. They have the earrings back along with my money. Patronize these people if you enjoy being cheated and disrespected in a most ugly manner.

Difficult to make a return even if it was a gift. Staff communication skills are condescending and exude " privilege " remarks.

I love shopping here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. There is always an amazing selection of clothing that suits our coastal style. From casual to cocktail it's very well curated. Plus there is a great denim selection. It's so nice to have a store like this in Carmel where I can try things on and see what looks good and what fits.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this boutique. The sales people are lovely and will give you beyond amazing service. They have the best brands and I have purchased something every time I stop in. Favorite store.... No question!!!

I'm not a "plastic blonde" as one reviewer put it, but I've always been so confused about the wild swing in ratings for this place since I've always loved it. I was told it would be my favorite boutique in the Bay Area. BAY AREA. And ya know what? It just might be! They have the best brands short of luxury (Chanel, Dior, Hermes, etc.) and I've never had or seen rude service. Not saying the people who claimed they did are lying - just based on my personal experience I've always loved stopping by to window shop or splurge.

An absolute stellar shopping experience. The ladies are so, so friendly, knowledgeable and just all around superstars with only one intent and purpose - to have you walk out feeling great about yourself, your purchase and your time spent in the boutique.

The difference between this clothing boutique and others is the staff. Everyone who works here is super knowledgeable about fashion, not to mention just all-around cool chicks. You can walk into any store and look around, grab a few things, maybe try them on and buy something, but from the minute you walk into GBG, it’s an experience. I equate it to the scene in Pretty Woman (the friendly store) where they are pulling things off the racks, bringing them to the dressing room for you to try on, and here’s the best part…you walk out of the dressing room and they are right there ready to style you. Just by tweaking a few things here and there with how it sits on your waist, rolling up sleeves, popping a collar, adding jewelry and shoes, they are right there to adjust, suggest and help you decide. Highly recommend, especially if you need something special!

Fine selection of clothing; lots of trendy brands but HORRIFIC service. Tried to sell me two different size boots (since they had accidentally sold a mismatched pair to an earlier customer, and these were the remaining two) at a tiny discount. I mean, they were relentlessly hawking them as if I were stupid enough to buy a mismatched pair. One or two of the salespeople were nice, but the remainder (especially the owner) were rude unless they thought you had big money to spend. They'd be wise to learn that not all big spenders look plastic and blonde. Would not return here.

I visited Carmel recently and shopped at both boutiques there. By far, these were the best for selection, service and styling. I loved the styling tips, guidance and personal attention. It really was a pleasant experience.

It's too bad there are so many negative reviews for this gorgeous boutique. I have been there many times and only recently found items that worked for me and made a purchase. Every single time I was treated fantastic. I especially love coming to visit their adorable doggies and spend time giving them lots of snuggles. To the the person who sadly was asked to take her Pitbull outside I would have done the same, service dog or not. It is scary to have one of those anywhere near your precious babies. I love every breed of dog but you have to have common sense as well. Prices are the same as every other retailer that carries the exact same merchandise. Believe me. I am always looking for a better price before I spend my money on anything and everything. Can't wait to return to Carmel and spend more time in this beautiful space.

Sweet Pea is so rude she came over to tell me multiple times not to look through the folded tanks that they were all the same when they were not . There were 2 types and 2 prices. I told her I was just trying to figure that out. Is she too lazy to straighten up after customers? Really not a comfortable place to shop.

Having lived in Carmel part-time since 2003, I am so glad to have the amazing stores, GBG and Paloosh! The owner, Sweet Pea and her staff are fabulous.
