Great stay - had a total of four reservations for a wedding - no complaints by any of the other couples. We spent five nights.
Good location. walkable to shopping and there are several great breakfast cafes/restauraunts within a four minute walk. Nice patio area on the upper level if the weather is good.
Clean, good water pressure, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good staff, great responsiveness.
Would recommend, and would stay at the Carmel Collection again

Don't let the exterior fool you. The room was clean, comfortable, and updated. No carpet, which I prefer!! Walking distance to so much. Ample parking.

Great spot if you are looking for the most affordable hotel to stay in Carmel. The price is the cheapest around. The hotel serves its purpose of providing a place to sleep and breakfast for the morning. Staff was all very helpful but be aware they often do not have someone at the front desk. The cons: the property needs some tlc. Bedskirt had lots of holes. Carpet was meh. Bathroom light switches were dirty and the wall had holes where outlet plates should be. I wouldn't recommend staying here with little kids due to safety concerns. For adults looking for a decent place to stay it suits the job.

I was traveling from Atlanta and working remotely. I stayed two nights here and i ah e to say, the location is great! Easy access to ocean dr in Carmel and less than 10 minutes from Monterey. Jay came back to check us in since we got there a bit later in the night. Furthermore, after accidentally leaving my MACBOOK in the room after i and checked out, they called me and were very honest. People like this are hard to come by and i appreciate honesty above all else. You and your belongings are safe here.Safety: You and your belongings are safe here. I left my computer there and they called me to let me know I had left it.Walkability: Les than a 5 minute walk to everything in Carmel. 10 minute walk from the beach.Food & drinks: Food and drinks available at any time in the day at the nearby shops and restaurants.

A convenient location and clean room. The coffee machine in the lobby comes in handy and the staff is friendly and nice. Lot's of parking space.

Scammers! When we arrived they wanted to charge us again for the room, saying that it was not paid for. When they gave us the room it was horrible with a 130 cm bed for two people. Therefore we asked for an Upgrade that in theory cost 20 dollars. We paid with a Debit card and the employee charged us $160, he never gave us a receipt. When we made the claim the hotel did not want to return it. When we left the employee was not there to give answers. And by email they only apologize but do not return the money.

There are plenty of better places to spend the night in Carmel.
The room was ok but the receptionist, was bored, apathetic and not helpful at all.
Poor breakfast served 25 minutes late.

Loved the location! Mattress fine, I slept well. There were ants in the bathroom around the vanity and also on the shutters in the room. The free breakfast was sort of picnic style. You pick it up in a cooler in the office. I didn't eat any of it.

Terrible! Breakfast doesn't exist (it's a lie), the hotel reception staff are not at all concerned about the guests, if you have a problem it's your problem. Check out only after 8:30AM because no one is there to help you. They say they are concerned about the conscientious use of drinking water, but the tap and shower keep dripping water. It was the worst experience I had out of the 10 hotels I stayed in in California.
Food & drinks: Does not exist! False advertising... there was nothing to eat and the coffee was from a machine and had a very bad taste.
Noteworthy details: Poor quality service! None one bit concerned about their guests' experience.

Lower floor so take the room rate with a grain of salt...
Nearby activities: Farmers market on Fridays.
Walkability: The beach is not far.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little quaint inn. The room was clean not huge but Very functional. I used my free hotel points so I am not sure on the cost. Real coffee cups and glasses, that was a nice surprise. I never drink the in room coffee or use the coffee pots. I always bring me own. Very close to Carmel plaza. We enjoyed some free live music here last night. A nice walk to the beach!! Coming back it's a nice little hill :) Jay checked us in and he was super attentive and helpful. We actually got in early and our room was ready. We got a balcony room so got to enjoy the fresh air and escape the heat from the Bay Area. Perfect cool little getaway. I am giving them 5 stars because it was everything I expected and MORE....
