This is NOT the place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet.
Kids screaming, techno blaring across the property from common areas due to "events", loud noise from within adjacent units (including footsteps), techno blaring heavy bass across the whole property. Did I mention techno blaring throughout the property?
We are mid way through a 5 night stay... and front desk offered a nonsensical $100 off when asked when the loud music would stop. Apparently there is another event tomorrow that will include more loud music at the expense of the majority of the guests not attending these events. I can’t fathom how a Hyatt property can allow this lack of hospitality.
To reiterate: this is NOT a property for those looking for peace and quiet. I can not stress this enough. I'm ready to pack up and drive back to LA for tranquility.
(Pic) The high density units with the lack of a view is just a side-note worth mention. Don’t let their site propaganda or planted reviews fool you as it did us…
Rooms: Loud. Footsteps in the adjacent rooms woke us. See pic for non-existent view.

We could tell from the moment we checked in at the Carmel Valley Ranch that it is a special property. The front desk was amazing to deal with. The grounds here are beautiful, and the ranch suite we were assigned to feels like our own little cottage.
We also love the great views, daily activities, pet friendliness, and peacefulness of the surrounding area. The pools are beautiful and relaxing here as well. In any event, we would highly recommend the Carmel Valley Ranch. It is one of the nicest properties within the Hyatt portfolio. We will most certainly return!

Handy location for going to see Yosemite. Rooms are a bit old but you aren't there for the rooms. The food was mixed. Our first night was great. The second night it was hardly edible. They had a wedding that night so maybe that was a factor.

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was great, AC worked well and it had a fireplace. Bathroom was modern and spacious.
The restaurant next to the lobby (can't remember the name) is really good. Only complaint is a lot of really loud kids. They should have a time, let's say after 8pm, when kids aren't allowed. It kinda makes a nice experience just marginal. Drinks, apps and main courses are well made. Servers are very friendly.
We didn't use the pool or spa, but they were really nice. They have a golf course at the bottom of the property. I didn't have a chance to play, but I did use the driving range and putting green. Facilities were in great shape. The clubhouse is modern and really nice. Some of the views from the tee boxes looked incredible!
This property is just a short drive to Carmel and Monterey. It's tucked back in the hills amongst the oak trees. Very tranquil, most of the time. Staff was always available and very helpful. They have a lot of activities daily you can sign up for.
I'd definitely stay here again and also I'd try the golf course.

We had no Wi-Fi. No air conditioning. And we had to move rooms. And the conditions still weren't fixed. We will never return until these items are fixed

I’m giving everything a 10/10. But I’m specifically writing this review regarding the service. It’s amazing to stay someplace you are treated so kindly and respectfully. Salvador, from the farm really stood out. It is fascinating to meet someone who not only does their work exquisitely but is also so notorious that he loves what he does. He makes sure anyone who visits the farm leaves with a big smile.

Loved this place. It’s a sunny hidden ranch with a lot of activities to do. The service was the best along with the food. The food has the best quality and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Salvador from the corral. He made the experience magnificent and I doubt it would have been the same without him. He was very kind and knew all about the animals. Salvador made me feel welcomed and safe while being with the animals, always greeted me with a smile and eager to show me knew things with the animals.
Food & drinks: Simply delicious. The chefs definitely know what they are doing combining such flavors in all of their dishes. The buffets was always on point and the coffees were out of this world. Honorable mention to the goat cheese. The service was also impecable, Leo was a great waiter.

3 stars for a 4 star. The location and property is beautiful, the accommodation was lovely and very pet friendly.
The staff and service are what let it down, quite badly. I called the night before and spoke with a gentlemen on the front desk and our room was unoccupied so my Amex fine hotels benefit should allow me to check in a 12pm without a problem, even encouraged me to come in the morning. However, when I arrived, I was greeted with a surly young lady who quite frankly instantly got my back up. Even though we arrived at 2pm she said our room wasn’t ready and she’ll have someone to clean it, she’ll text me when it is. So we waited around and it went 4pm I thought I’d check back and see what is going on. A spoke to another desk clerk who hands me my key??? Not the best start I have to say.
The breakfast service was discombobulated and frustrating, nobody had a clue, running around like headless chickens without a clue how to serve. Left my wife and I very frustrated as it’s such a simple thing to achieve, it seems like some serious training needs to occur on a service level.
Gripes over with, the room was lovely, a little dated but comfy and lovely views.
All in all was it worth $4k for 3 nights? No.
Would I come back? Maybe if the rooms were half the price and they sort the service out.

I had very high expectations given the price, the location, and the reviews… and sadly, both my husband and I were a bit disappointed. Don’t get my wrong, it’s beautiful- but not as advertised. Everything is very spread out- difficult to get to. We had the ‘reconnect’ package where we had a private dinner and honey tasting… we were SO EXCITED, but it was strange. Our reservation was at 5:30 PM and we were seated by 535. The person that was running the honey tasting came outside and told us that we were early and she like wasn’t expecting us that early so that made me feel a bit strange. The honey tasting itself was nice, but we did not love, the conversations and experience with the woman who was providing said tasting. We then had a three course dinner where we got to choose a couple of the options… But the food was honestly terrible. Great presentation but nothing tasted good. I had a Barada salad that had absolutely zero flavor and tasted like nothing. My husband and I both got the Chilean Seabass because that’s one of our favorite things, and it was way overcooked, rubbery, and very fishy tasting. For the prize, it was definitely not worth the experience. They’re also just not great communication… We wanted to go see the farm animals and apparently there was a vehicle that would take you up to the farm that no one told us about. There was also lots of activities that they just didn’t explain or explain how to get to it was just kind of a strange experience, a resort that was so large. All in all just not very impressed. For how much money we spend I would’ve thought it would’ve been a lot better.

Made out to be an inclusive experience, especially for parents this resort left a lot to be desired for the price. Food was subpar, 15% fee on every food or beverage order, fancier kid experiences not worth the cost, Paco & Pablo picnic especially.
Rooms: Cottage/country style with some nice lavender products from The Ranch itself. Cleaning service was shotty with incomplete room resupply day to day. Sometimes there were missing towels, soaps, teas/coffee (remember buying coffee has a 15% surcharge), bathmats. It was totally random.
Walkability: It's a 500 acre ranch, that you really trek, rides are available, but if your kids wont walk willingly I'd bring a stroller.
Food & drinks: Limited options, slow service at Valley Kitchen, overpriced, nowhere else to get food except by driving into Carmel or getting food from Safeway. The limited selection of food items at the pool and market are insanely overpriced and there's an automatic 15% service fee added on every purchase. It really adds up.
Noteworthy details: The power was out overnight two nights, communication to the guests was prompt, but restoring electricity took long enough for phones not to be charged overnight and for irritated families at the morning breakfast. Toting toddlers in PJs to breakfast after dressing them in the dark would be annoying to anyone.
