Dr. Shannon is an incredible veterinarian. She is 100% committed to her profession and has been consistently outstanding with her recommendations, treatments and overall care. She will be as holistic or as westernized as you are comfortable with, which I appreciate immensely. She has guided us time and time again over the course of 2 years and her team is fantastic and professional. I am proud to say this business resides in our city. Special shout out to Theresa who has been an indispensable asset to our family in terms of caring for our little guy. She is truly the animal whisperer and an extraordinary level of experience. Nicole at the front desk is always on top of everything and makes all processes easier. Thank you, Carmel Holistic!

I came by to pick our dog but had ti wait until staff lunch break was over at noon. But at 12:20 still no one was answering the doorbell, or phone.

They tended to my older small dog and when she Developed gastric issues that was beyond their care they sent me to a specialist rather than trying to go over their testing ability. You may trust them. I now live in Paso Robles really miss them

I called them when they first opened at 8am and was immediately cut off mid sentence once I mentioned that I have adopted from SPCA and that they do free first time wellness exams at this vet. I was greeted rudely and will not be considering this vet if this is how they respond to phone calls from first time patients.

The most accommodating, caring vet we’ve had the pleasure of taking our poodle to. The treatments they’ve implemented have kept our poodle stroke-free and healthy. Amazing job!

The staff always answers my questions promptly. They have a great working relationship with Dr Shannon which is invaluable since they coordinate almost everything. Dr Shannon is extremely thorough in examining our dog. She takes all the time I need to explain in great detail what she has found and what she recommends. Above all, she cares about our dog and treats him that way.

First of all I appreciate this clinic squeezing me in with my two dogs that had a pretty straightforward case of Giardia.... not my first rodeo dealing with this common ailment with dogs. What I wasn't prepared for was a full physical & work up with various tests and treatments that were performed without me knowing. Partially my bad for not being specific but when the charges total over $1k for two dogs there needs to be a little more transparency up front. I'd do anything for my four legged friends but be forewarned that this place is over the top expensive. Our former vet on the SF peninsula would have charged a fraction of this bill and he is always very up front about the prices associated with any work before moving forward. Needless to say I'll be going elsewhere.

The staff here are great. We came to them during covid, and despite having never met Dr. Shannon in person, she is such a receptive veterinarian who gives great holistic solutions. Theresa (the head tech here) is our trainer for our 14 month old Eurasier. He has made great strides with her non aggressive training. She seems to truly have a special connection with animals along with many years of experience to create an elite approach and process. The chiropractor who works with them is also fantastic. We are so happy to have found them. Highly recommend.

I'd never been so thoroughly confident that my baby girl Marilyn was in great hands before taking her here. There are a lot of good vets and doggie day cares out there, but none like this gem. Thanks again for taking care of Marilyn, it was very apparent that she had the best time of her life while boarding with you. Happy New Year ❤️

I've had only the best care for my bulldogs here. Dr Shannon and her staff have been wonderful to us. My bullies are patients here and CV vet as I live in the village and they have always been accommodating and timely on my girls needs. Fitting us in when needed. Pre covid and now with covid I've only had good experiences here. Only issue has been with billing as we can't be inside and my last bill had a charge that didn't make sense since I took just one bully in today and had a charge for her sister I'm hoping to resolve.

Dr Shannon has always been great with our terrior. Wheatie has had foxtails removed from his eye a couple of times by her. She always takes him in when we have an emergency with Wheatie. I've had other vets remove foxtails from Wheatie and Dr Shannon has also had the best rates.

Dr. Shannon and her office staff are an uncaring, money grubbing group. My male cat, Izzy, was a patient there in 2017 when he had crystals in his urinary track and needed much care...To her credit, Dr. Shannon was able to clear his crystals after thousands of dollars in treatment and I was told to be sure he never ate dry food again and only feed him this cat food that they sell for urinary health. So for three years I purchased from them a "prescription" food from Blue Diamond, only available at the vet office. Two cans a day at $2 a can, they made a great profit on his food alone over the years. Over these years, I have asked the staff what other across the counter food would work for his needs and I was never given an alternative.I recently called to order his food for pick up and I was advised by his office staff that he hasn't been seen in three years and that he needed an appointment before I could purchase his food. I replied with, "Great, it's probably time for him to have his shots anyway...could you please sell me a case and I'll be happy to make an appointment. After a brief hold, I was told that they would sell me 2 cans of food and that they could see me the next day. I explained that the next day didn't work for me... I didn't feel I should have to explain to the staff that I was going to Stanford the next day for a second opinion on a health matter and I wanted to have my cat covered with his food needs while I was gone in case my stay was extended. I didn't feel I should have to explain to the staff that during these stressful Covid times that my unemployment money was tied up in a glitch and I was seriously budgeting while it was being cleared up. I simply stated that I could make an appointment in the next week or so and please just sell me a case of food. After arguing that his food is a prescription and claiming that the low ash and vitamin and minerals added to the food needed a prescription. Since they were being inflexible. I told them I would give them a bad yelp review and the staff hung up on me. I called back and was transferred to the office manager who was also inflexible in her position. In the three years I was purchasing food from them, they never once mentioned that his food was dependent on an office visit, and why should it? Perhaps the office staff was sent on a recruiting spree to make appointments and raise revenue during these trying Covid times. In any case, they responded to the needs of a client with no compassion or flexibility and because of this, I have lost all of my confidence in Dr. Shannon and her group.
