The food was fine but the service from our head waiter was strange. He insulted our original wine selection and recommended another (which was indeed good) but the attitude was off putting. We ordered both appetizers and mains and within 5 minutes (appetizers not even out yet), my daughter changed her mind on her main entree order so we called the waiter over and he would not let her change. The rest of the wait staff and bussers were friendly but we just couldn't get over the head waiter's (he might have been the manager?) attitude. We won't be going back.

Our new favorite Italian-style restaurant- and we're from San Francisco! Superb food; enjoyed our outstanding, smart and amicable server. Generous servings of truffles. We highly recommend to customers who really enjoy savoring their food!

The food was good, but I certainly wasn't floored by it. The service was great and the staff was very friendly and pleasant. It did throw me off a bit to see on the menu that they would rather customers not modify their orders. I rarely do, but to see it posted like that was weird. If you like your pasta with the garnish left off or some other mod, you may want to consider that when booking.

The other three people in our group loved their dinner. I did not. When I reserved I did not realize there was not a full bar, which I found disappointing, though the wine was good. I had the lamb osso bucco, which I thought to be much too fatty. The taste was good but it would have been much better served on risotto rather than a few small roasted potatoes.

This was our first trip to Carmel. Our first meal was at Enzo and we couldn't believe how every single element of our experience was 5 star. The food provided so many flavor experiences. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Everything was perfect. We will always view Enzo as one of the great restaurant we have ever dined at.

Enzo's is one of our favorite restaurants in Carmel. The regional Italian cuisine is authentic, and the sauces are all made in-house and delicious. We go to Enzo's every time we are in Carmel.

Out of sorts server (probably the owner) made this meal a bust. And the Mousaka portion was small, for $35! It was tasty, but unpleasantly served. The capper was this experienced waiter stacking my plates right on my table. Many 25 year olds know better. He knew better, but was sloppy, or angry or senile.

The potato pesto gnocchi and sea bass were phenomenal. And the olive oil ??. Highly recommend this place. All the servers were patient with our two little kiddos, the vibe was so chill and the food was authentic. We will be back next time we visit Carmel.

Service and food good. Not allowed to bring in wine but hit with extraordinarily high priced Italian wine. 2 bottles of wine and dinner for 4 plus a generous tip=$700. In my mind...not a good value.

What a jewel to find in Carmel! Authentic Italian food that is rich and delicious. Try the lamb osso buco if you want a perfectly seasoned, savory, fall-off-the-bone tender rendering. The server helped us with wine parings for our appetizers and entrees, and they were a perfect complement. There are two nice outdoor seating areas, though we chose to eat inside where there was a lovely fire to warm us. Loved Enzo Ristorante Italiano!

Don't forget to ask how much is the special. The ‘special' risotto was mushy, bland, and outrageously expensive! The pollo y limones was overcooked and dry. Overall the food was very mediocre. The restaurant was noisy with barking dogs. A very expensive and not very enjoyable experience! We will not be returning.

We stoped here for lunch because is was close to our hotel and we were amazed! The food was so good, we returned for dinner and it was better than lunch. They have a very interesting wine list that only added to the meals that we so enjoyed. This establishment is a true gem. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the meals. Service was exceptional. I want to go back to Carmel so I can dine at Enzo"s!!

Enzo's is amazing. One of the absolute best restaurants in Carmel. Every single dish was absolutely spectacular. Very friendly staff and great service. I highly recommend if you are wanting delicious, authentic Italian food.

This restaurant is iconic and delivers a true Italian experience. The owners run the place and make you feel like you are in their home. The food is so delicious, we had the pizza, Eggplant Parmesan and the Branzino. So good and in the heart of pretty Carmel.

The food at this place was fine, but the service was horrible! Our server was rude, rough around the edges, had no personality, and was very robotic. He rudely threw things like utensils on the table. One time he even placed utensils on top of my husband's eyeglasses that he put down on the table like he didn't see the eyeglasses there. He also spilled water on the table when he was refilling a water glass and just walked away like nothing happened. He didn't apologize or wipe the water off the table. I really felt like a robot was serving us. The food was good and tasty, but overpriced. My husband ordered the Branzino seabass which didn't come with anything but the artichoke sauce. You'd think that for the price of $44, it would at least come with a side of potato, pasta, or salad. We really liked the sauteed portobello mushrooms, but for an appetizer and the serving size, it was a bit overpriced. Also, before I made a reservation, I called the restaurant to ask if they have vegan options and I was told they did. Then earlier on the day of our dinner reservation, we went in the restaurant and asked again if they have vegan options, and I was told that they can make a vegan dish for me. But when we went back later for dinner, and I asked for vegan options, our server just flat out said "no" and that they didn't have anything vegan. So I told him that I was told that they can make a vegan dish for me and he said 'Okay" hesitantly. If you're vegan, do not come to this place because they don't have anything vegan and you'd have to personally ask them to make a vegan dish for you which is pasta with veggies and marinara sauce for $27. Needless to say, our experience with this place was not very positive or enjoyable, and I wouldn't come back.
