The GM is a poor display of a manager and lacks professionalism as well as the neccessary communication skills to do his job at a satisfactory level.My experience was a salesman did not present all the accompanying service or amenities options to me upon obtaining my vehicle. This is turn cost me additional money at the conclusion of my lease via the inspection process.Do not go to this dealership. Go to the San Diego location.

We bought roof racks and brought our car in for service. The gasket on the rack fell off on the freeway and was flapping against the car--the parts director tried to tell me that I bought the racks off craigslist when I had proof of the transaction and wouldn't allow a return or replacement even though they were clearly defective and only 6mo old. The service visit was just as bad, they ordered parts and kept the car over night just to tell us that the part wouldn't be in and we should come get it the next day, it's been 2 weeks and they still haven't called to follow up or tell us if the part came in.

Made an appt on my app for service on my 2023 xc40. I bought my car at mission viejo Volvo and had my first service completed there. I was a bit shy of 10k miles so we waited to rotate my tires. Instead of driving to mission viejo for this service I thought why not try Volvo Carlsbad closer to home. What a mistake. I will always go back to mission Viejo Volvo for service and outstanding customer service. I arrived at Carlsbad Volvo at 750 am for an 8 an appt. I was checked in promptly by the friendly staff. I requested tire rotation, new wiper blades and top off wiper fluid. I was told it shouldn't take too long as it typically takes 30 or so minutes to rotate tires. After an hour and half, I went to check on my car. The advisor told me the mechanic must be on a bathroom break but he could see from paperwork he was working on my car. I walked over to service to see if I could see my car. As I walked out front I saw my car being driven off the lot. I waited for it to return about 7 minutes later. I went to the gate to watch what they were going to do next. This is when I saw my car up in the air on the Jack. The service manager came over and asked if I needed help. I said yes that is my car up in the air, and I just saw him drive my car. When will it be finished He explained they drive the cars when they get them and when they are finished working on them. I asked which is it for my car. He told me I needed to leave the private property where I was standing because I could get hit by a car. I was not in the driveway but off to the side. He was angry at me. He finally said he would check on my car. I walked back over to the side of the entry to service. A few minutes later the service manager came over to tell me, they are working on my car and he only completed the first test drive. I told him, so I've been waiting an hour and 45 minutes for you to begin work on my car? Not acceptable. When I told the service advisor what I had been told by the service manager, he thought they were backed up from the previous day, so therefore, they kept me waiting to work on cars from the day before! Two hours and 30 min later my car was finished. The lack of customer service, professionalism from management and disregard for customers time are the reasons I will never return to this dealership. Really really poor!I called my salesman at mission viejo on my way home to let him know how much I appreciate him and the entire staff at Volvo mission Viejo. While I had my first service at Mission Viejo, the staff was super kind even walked me to my car after performing 10k mile service in 35 minutes, and opened my car door for me. They made sure I was a happy customer and safely on my way!!! Excellent service from purchase to maintenance!! The general manager called me the same day and thanked me for my compliments and offered his number if I need anything in the future. Seriously outstanding and so nice to feel the sense of relationship with Mission Viejo Volvo!

I was looking at purchasing a vehicle and I found a couple of XC40 at Carlsbad Volvo. I contacted them and Michael P. responded with detailed information on the vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. I schedule an appointment to see and to test drive the vehicle. I met Michael and he went into details about the vehicle and explained everything. I test drove the vehicle and decided to purchase it. As I wait to get all the paperwork done, Michael made sure that I was advised of the progress. I could not take the vehicle the same day that I purchased so I told Michael that I would come by the next day to pick up the vehicle. When I picked up the vehicle, it was all cleaned and washed with a full tank of gas. This was the best experience I had in purchasing a vehicle. Thank you Michael for your great service and making my experience a great experience!! Thanks you!!

Made the honest mistake of charging my Polestar here. The machine took my credit card and there was no reason to think it wasn’t available for public use. When I came to pick the car up there was a note on my car saying it was a private charger (it was a photocopy so clearly not the first time someone has made this mistake) and I apologized. My issue is that the employee who came out to yell at me was mean and rude. For zero reason. I immediately apologized and he kept repeating “you're lucky I didn’t have your car towed. I was about to block you in.” No reason for that. Also, put up a damn sign!

We had a wonderful experience buying a used XC90 at Volvo Carlsbad. Both Steve, the GM, and Shahid, the salesman, went above and beyond, even delivering our car (with a full tank!) up to Los Angeles when a repair was needed. The car was in beautiful condition and they took every step to be sure no detail was overlooked and we were satisfied. They are truly professionals, which is surprisingly hard to find when looking at used inventory.

I've known and bought/used this dealership for probably 15 years. In the recent past they have seemed to slip. My bad for paying a bit too much for a CPO XC60 T5 but not the main point. Service is. The detailing (once they found that in fact a rear quarter panel was repainted....never said that during the sale) was terrible. To this day the machine swirl marks are very apparent. You don't finish it like that. And then recently with a replacement of rear rotors, which IMO should have been replaced while CPO'g the car in preparation for the sale, they chipped both of my calipers that had been painted red professionally. I have changed calipers, and there is no excuse for not being able to reassemble them back without chipping them.I will not be using Carlsbad Volvo for my service needs any longer.

I bought my Volvo here two months ago. Alex, the sales rep was initially very kind and helpful. Great sales person and customer service rep. She worked with me and got me the car I wanted.ONLY problem was SHE told me that Id have 250 hours for FREE charging for the first year at Electrify America. Thats the only reason I ended up getting the car so I could save money on not spending it on gas. Two months later, I began getting charged on my AMEX from Electrify America. I got charge $60 over 2 weeks. I contacted the Volvo dealership and then the sales rep (a different one) tells me, it was not 250 hours of charging, its 250 dollars worth of charging. I was like WTF. Then I contacted Electrify America to clarify what that looked like since this is the first time I got a brand new electric car. The rep from EA tells me, its not $250 worth of charging, its actually 250 KW of charging then I begin getting billed. I was shocked. I contacted Volvo then Alex, my initial rep called me back. She apologizes for the miscommunication then explains to me how Im still saving money even though Im paying. I go on to tell her thats not what she told me when I bought the car. Then she brings up the the fact that my parents, who were initially interested in the car, didn't purchase a Volvo so I hadn't kept my promise. I was like "what does that actually have to do with you telling me I would have 250 hours worth of charging" She backpedaled and said "oh nothing but still just letting you know. I'll speak to the sales manager and get back to you." She tried to make it a point in her argument against me but quickly realized not to since I wouldn't fall for it. She emails me a couple hours later the window sticker saying it was listed on there NOT ADDRESSING THE FACT THAT SHE LIED and not acknowledging it or even OFFERING ANY sort of solution to fix it or even give me any comfort. I love Volvo, but I will NEVER buy one from them nor will I recommend it. This is why you can't trust any car salesman or woman.

Allen & Alberto are so helpful! I’ve had my XC90 serviced here a couple times and I greatly appreciate their friendliness, quick feedback on options for service and work on the vehicle. Getting our car serviced is never fun but the guys here have been 5 stars every time!

I recently purchased a used Volvo certified 2022 XC60 from Volvo Cars Carlsbad sight unseen on the internet. By the description and pictures on Carfax, it was the car I wanted. The car was offered at a reasonable price and was optioned perfectly with the Polestar Engineered package and Extended Range equipment which are not exactly common. It was a bit nerve-wracking to think of buying a car out of state that I've never seen from people I've never met, but Michael Page and Steve Campbell at the dealership were excellent to work with. They made the deal happen as quickly as it can with 1,200 miles between us with no pressure or typical aweful car sales techniques. I put my faith in the Volvo used certification, and that was a sound decision. The car was as immaculate as a 16K mile car can be and exactly as described. Michael also took a number of additional pictures for me at my request. For a reasonable cost, they even handled the transportation to my home. The vehicle is fantastic in every way and the unconventional buying experience was refreshing. I've worked many new and used vehicle deals in my life and this was a top three experience for sure. It seemed like a gamble at the start. But in the end it paid off. Thank you Michael and Steve and the whole Volvo Cars Carlsbad team! Keep up the good work.

I have a 2019 xc90. They always take really good care of it for regular maintenance checks, today I took it by the service dept for a tiny problem I couldn't fix. I noticed earlier my driver's seatbelt wasn't clicking all the way in. A little corner piece of a kids gummy pack got stuck inside the seatbelt base. After trying & trying to dislodge it myself with no luck I decided to bring it up there since they're always so nice & helpful. A gentleman named Albert came out & got it out in a minute! I was so happy & thankful I just had to mention it. Great guys up there. Frank is also very kind and patient. Thank you, Albert!

I found the perfect used Volvo at the Carlsbad Dealership. We came in late on a Sunday. Rob assisted us with a test drive and really made the whole experience so easy. Car shopping is my least favorite but Rob made it easy and painless. He stayed late to make it happen and was kind enough to make sure we got the car detailed later when it was convenient for us. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him and Volvo to anyone. The car I purchased is beautiful and in great condition. We were overall very satisfied with our whole car buying experience.

I worked with Michael as my salesman and Lance as Sales Manager and both were perfectly competent, efficient, knowledgeable and went above and beyond. They also were super competitive with pricing compared to some other dealerships i visited.
