I can't say enough good things about Dr. Wypart and the entire team at Surgi Pet. He is a true animal lover . He makes it his business to treat his patients like family members. He makes vet care affordable

5 months ago, PJ went through his TPLO procedure. Today, we went for his final checkup and confirmed he's doing great. A few months ago, my dog was already walking with no pain. The healing was fast. We are very grateful for finding them. Definitely the best doctor and staff members. We got 100% care from Surgipet. Our surgeon is very genuine and true to his words. My Doberman knew it; the first time he saw Dr. Wypart, PJ leaned on his leg. He's like telling Dr. Wypart that he needs his help, and he knew he could make his boo-boo go away. Dogs are very intuitive; he sensed that Dr. Wypart cared. I was relieved when I saw that, and on that point I was sure PJ was in good hands. I highly suggest you see them instead going elsewhere. I guarantee you'll be very pleased with them.

Warning: this review will be long and all over the place as I wanted to wait until after his follow up So grateful to surgipet! Cannot say enough good things. My cat was in obvious pain. He's usually not very vocal but when he started hissing, and growling at nothing and then walking with a limp it was obvious he was hurting bad. We took him to the er where X-ray confirmed he had broken his bone at the hip joint and they recommended he get a surgical consult. The places they referred didn't have great reviews so I decided to do my own research. Yelp provided a few good options so I reached out to all. Surgipet is the only one that responded on a Sunday. They were able to retrieve the X-rays and the dr examined them and made a decision same day about what treatment he needed. They even gave me a price and were able to get him in within 48 hours. Can't believe dr is basically on call for pet emergencies and always available. 5 stars. The next day on Monday when most vets were available I did get more responses and I asked for pricing on the FHO surgery that was already recommended for my guy and one place refused to give me a price quote without spending $200 on a consult (while surgipet did it all over the phone and provided pricing) and another pet surgeon quoted me $2000 MORE than surgipet. At the appointment I did start to get nervous so I started scouring reviews reading everything I could find about surgipet and was relieved see that the surgeon and anesthesiologist are 2 of the best for pets that people would even travel out of area to get treated here. Which makes me super thankful that they don't price gouge. They are literally the best without the premium pricing that the other places I talked to were trying to give. That tells me they really genuinely care about pets. I will forever recommend surgipet. Hopeful not to need their services again but we will be back if so. During the consult the dr was very thorough in his explanation of why this might have happened and why FHO was the best option. I was wondering why he couldn't get pinned like the ER said but dr told me the success rate of that option and additional information without me asking why and looking like an angry pet parent. They honestly knew what was going through my mind and put it at ease. Very experienced! Discharge instructions were explained thoroughly and given in writing. When my cats bandage fell off the sutures were so clean and flawless. I've seen humans butchered worse after surgery. Great care was taken on my cat. While we were being discharged they said the dr was in an unplanned surgery which tells me that they are probably available for emergencies as much as they can be which is really great. I just noticed they submitted invoice and soap notes to my insurance for me which is good customer service however the attachment that says soap notes is just a logo. Minus 1 star because on his follow up the dr made it seem like we were getting pain meds included in the thousands of dollars we already spent but then they called and charged us for additional pain medication that we didn't ask for and in fact told the staff our cat hasn't appeared to be in pain at all

Fair warning, this may be a slightly long review, so the short version is that Dr. Jaroslaw R. Wypart, Dr. Margaret E. Wypart, and the SURGiPET staff work miracles and are literally the best at pet surgery and advanced anesthesiology. My poor chocolate lab, Coco, suffered CrCL tendon ruptures in both her hind legs resulting from CrCLD. We misdiagnosed the initial tear a couple years back as hip dysplasia but after she tore the other CrCL a couple months ago and after x-rays under sedation from our regular vet, Dr. Cooper, we soon realized what had happened. Dr. Cooper is amazing, and I trust her with my life, so when she referred us to SURGiPET to have a much-needed TPLO surgery, I knew it was an absolute necessity. Coco and I are mountaineers, she loves swimming in the ocean, playing catch, and is an extremely athletic and active dog so my vet decided that TPLO was the right choice and that we were going to treat her as one would any bipedal athlete, assuring me that most dogs make a full recovery after this procedure and that she'd be right back to living her best life once again after 3-4 months of recovery. It's rare to do bilateral TPLO for large breed dogs like Coco who is a muscular and lean 75 lbs. but given the circumstances Dr. Wypart agreed to performing the surgery on both knees at once. I was beyond heartbroken knowing she was in so much pain and seeing her unable to support weight on her hind legs. Coco is a very stoic dog and I'd never seen in her in any kind of pain prior to this and she turned 6 literally 1 day prior to surgery. To add insult to injury we had no pet insurance, and this is not a cheap procedure. Coco is all the family I have left so no cost was too much but I'm not a wealthy person by any means. SURGiPET provided an extremely fair price to have the procedure performed in comparison to other options I'd priced out and Dr. Margaret E. Wypart is one of the few board-certified veterinary anesthesiologists in Southern California. Folks I met in the waiting room came from as far as Arizona and the Bay Area to have their pets treated here just for that reason alone, but this coupled with how amazing an orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jaroslaw R. Wypart is, SURGiPET is quite frankly the best option for anyone having to go through this or any type of surgery for their fur baby. During the initial consult, Dr. Wypart was very patient and caring, explaining to me what our options were and providing me much needed reassurance that we were in good hands. The fact that he and his wife were also mountaineers and had been to some of our favorite places was the proverbial icing on the cake! The procedure went without a hitch and the team (Shirley,Claudia, Amber, Gloria, Kyle, and the others) went above and beyond in providing us with wonderful post-op instructions and made sure I knew everything needed to ensure that Coco would recover 100%. I'd get calls daily from the team to check in and anytime I called, they were able to answer all questions and showed extreme compassion. This was one of the hardest things I had to go through, and they were, patiently, there every step of the way. 2 weeks after the procedure we returned to have the staples removed and they were all shocked by how well Coco was recovering and they said that the outcome was miraculous. After that initial 2 weeks, with their tutelage and with the aid of the K9 Recovery App, we began the road to recovery. This consisted of a very regimental approach for taking the right meds and PT that I made sure to follow, keeping detailed daily notes and prioritizing Coco over everything else in life. Fast forward to today, 52 days after the surgery, and Coco is doing spectacular. We're walking about 4 miles a day, she's healing exponentially faster than expected, and we go back in on Saturday for her follow-up x-rays to ensure that the surgery was successful. I'm very confident that it was. All of this is thanks to the wonderful loving care that the SURGiPET team has provided for both Coco and me. At the end of th

I was referred here because the local vet emergency was too expensive for my babies surgery. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! The Surgipet Team are so awesome!!I called last night and Luna was scheduled in this morning for a FHO. Their prices are substancially lower than San Diego and timing is next level excellent. They took care of Luna and me personally and professionally. I am so grateful for Surgipet! Thanks for being here for us!!

Dr. Wypart was very informative about the FHO surgery my puppy needed. At 2 months old, she fractured her femur and needed surgery ASAP for her pain. My vet suggested Surgipet and contacted them about my pup's case. They were quick to reach out to my vet and set me up an appointment that same week. On the day of her surgery, the Dr. was very informative and honest about the surgery itself and her recovery. I appreciated the after-care instructions which were very detailed and specific. Customer care was the absolute best and responded to any concerns I had post-surgery. I appreciated they took the time to call me a few days after her surgery and ask if I had any concerns or questions. The surgeon highly suggested physical therapy which has been a huge help in my pup's progress.

After my dog died while under anesthesia in Las Vegas when she was under the care of an unsupervised vet tech, I learned that veterinary anesthesiologists exist in other states. I went to the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia & Analgesia's website and discovered Dr. Margaret Wypart. I am so glad I traveled to Carlsbad for my puppy's spay. I felt so much better trusting my dog to an actual anesthesiologist with excellent training and credentials and a caring staff, as well as an extremely clean facility with human grade equipment. My only disappointment is that dogs in Las Vegas don't have access to an anesthesiologist like Dr. Wypart. I will definitely return to Surgipet anytime my dogs require surgery.

110% recommend SurgiPet! Shirley, Dr. Wypart and the whole team took excellent care of our 10 month aussie puppy who swallowed a toy and needed to get it surgically removed. They have an extremely clean facility and answered all of our questions with kindness and consideration. They are very reasonably priced and their love for animals is clear. Betty had surgery at a different facility the night before to try and scope the toy out through her throat which was unsuccessful. I called Surgi Pet Saturday morning at 9 am and Betty was in for surgery by 11 am. They took excellent care of her and were successful with her surgery. I can’t thank the whole team enough for helping us out in such a scary situation. Accidents can happen so fast especially with puppies and we are so thankful we are home and recovering.Surgipet has our business no matter what!

Last June my little guy displaced his right hip and had to undergo general anesthesia however, him being high risk due to his heart condition was unable to do so without the presence of an anesthesiologist. As a fur mama I was an emotional wreck, the whole team ensured that they will take care and treat him like their own. Procedure was done successfully and my fur baby is doing well. The team still checks up on him every so often to see how he’s doing, which I think is really sweet. We cannot thank them enough and without everyone on the team who has helped us that day, I wouldn’t be sure if my baby would still be with us today. We appreciate you and thank you. I hope this message finds everyone well.

If there were 10 stars that’s what I’d rate! These group of vets, surgeons and techs are incredible. Their pricing is so fair they truly care about your pet, they saved my Pyrnese, elsewhere was so expensive I thought I was going to have to euthanize… then I called the angels at Surgipet and they got her in same day. They will forever have my business!

Amazing service, very friendly and helpful staff! My dog has severe anxiety (she has seizures) and she needs extra care just going to any vet or pet-related places the doctor was able to send me special instructions before she came to the office. Yeah, it may be a large amount of money but you will be surprised with how much comes within the bundle cost, at least I was. Both the doctor and the staff call every few days to check up on my dog and the healing process. They were also always there if I had any questions. I would highly recommend if you are searching for a surgeon to come here you won’t regret it!

Highly recommend SurgiPet! Friendly staff that was really good with my English bulldog! The vet and anesthesiologist did an amazing repair of her knee (torn meniscus).
