Never thought I'd write a review on a drug store but this pharmacy is clearly top notch. Never really needed prescriptions on a regular basis until recently and really surprised how professional and client friendly they are. Always lets me know when my order is ready and rarely a wait. If my prescription isn't covered by insurance they find great coupons and always a good price. Kevin always spot on!

Ice Cream surprise. We recently visited Rite Aid in Carlsbad, CA for a quick stop to get batteries and was pleasantly surprised to find that they also served ice cream. The convenience of being able to pick up essentials and enjoy a sweet treat in one place was a nice touch. The store was clean, organized, and the staff was friendly. Overall, it was a great experience and ---it was conveniently located.

Gave them a try today even though they have bad ratings. Found out it was all justified. Called this morning 9am’sh, lady said my prescription in stock, just come by. Came by afternoon, guy says he can’t find my order, then finds it and says he’ll have to look for it on the shelf, but that he can’t right now because he has to goto lunch now. Said he would call me back when he finds my order after lunch and proceeds to roll the window gate down on me. Can’t make this stuff up. I’ll never be back for any reason. (I did get an automated phone message right after their lunch break so the item must have been right on the shelf) Lame.

Violation of Hippa Laws! Privacy violated by Faith; The pharmacist! Within two feet of a line of over twenty customers the pharmacist had me confirm my address, phone number and medication! And what I am using the medication for! I advised her I would be reporting her to the state. Contacted 800 # to, The Rite Aid Customer Service line. They took my complaint seriously then after I got a call from Erin or Aaron; Thee area Corp supervisor" a complete jerk! And Due to [his] and the Pharmacist incompetence on this matter, I will Be submitting a complaint with the state! It's no wonder why they are closing Rite Aid Stores across the country! It's employees like these that attribute to the closures! Notices all the complaints are about the Pharmacist! She is the cause for your bad reviews! Why doesn't Rite Aid correct the problem!? I will be submitting my complaint for investigation to Hippa!

I wish this location would go out of business to give me more of a reason to transfer my prescriptions. I think the whole world comes there between five and seven to get their prescriptions . Let's not forget about the line upfront too. The resident cashier I think enjoys chit chatting too much Yes it's clean and fairly well stocked until this....... Rite Aid brand Pepto by one get one 50% off. Guess how many left on the shelf? One!! Unreal.

This has to be the worst most rude pharmacy around. They lie when things will be ready and couldn't care less if they tell you wrong. Even trying to be nice to explain the issue, they are rude and don't care. Poor management of the pharmacy is an understatement. This has been an ongoing issue for several years. It's close to my house but it's at the point a longer drive will be worth it. And likely even take less time and aggravation.

This a reflection of their corporate policies which are so arrogant and out of touch its hard to comprehend. They refuse to fill prescriptions until 30 days after you picked up the last one. So if you're working on the day 30 until they close, if they have weird holiday hours that don't work with your schedule, if they haven't got their shipment of supplies in yet, if you have a flight to catch on day 30, if they only have the brand name not covered by your insurance, you are out of luck. I can't drive or operate machinery without my perscription. I can't work without my perscription. I don't see their executives and bureaucrats lining up to be my Free Uber Driver. I don't see them picking up my shifts at work and sending me a paycheck. My life can't revolve around their schedule. Am I suppose to waste 12 of 14 vacation days a years just so I can pickup meds? Camp out overnight like I'm buying concert tickets in the 90s? The number of times I was unable to get my meds on time shows just how incompetent they are. It is their only job. My first thoughts when I hear the name of Rite Aid is medication withdrawals as desperately break pills in half during my weekends so that my schedule and theirs will lineup. Drinking copious amounts of caffeine to make it to my normal bedtime. Other thoughts are pain, inconvenience, lies to their customers face and doesn't expect to get called out. Multiple times they have tried to convince me that it's Federal law. Despite the fact that none of the other pharmacies do this and the actual law is that it can't be earlier than 2 days to prevent people from selling and abusing it. Perfectly reasonable and intelligent wiggle room. The only reason they got a second chance from me was because they had the generic version of my perscription that my insurance requires. They tried to say Walgreens was being sued but I know that all the major chains have been sued for the opioid epidemic and that includes them. My perscription isn't a opioid either but does impact my ability to safely function in society. Something that they think should revolve around what ever is convenient for them. I've also had to explain how basic math works to them on multiple occasions.

I would like to thank Jose and his front of the store staff. Today I had an unforgettable unfortunate experience with the pharmacy and moving forward will no longer use them as my pharmacy. I had an horrific encounter with a crazed man who waited for me after I spoke with the pharmacist and followed me around the store. Jose and his front staff kept vigilant a put me at ease; And even offered to call the police. Jose was so kind he even walked me to my car and walked around the parking lot to make sure the man was not stalking me outside as-well. He made sure I got into my car safely. Thank you so much Jose; for proving excellent service and caring for your customers

I'm not sure how to rate this. The female pharmacist is awful with a goddess complex. My Rxs are never ready and she claims every time it wasn't called in or it's too early. Last night, I had enough, the Dr actually called her and she refused to talk to her! Is that legal? Now I'm back the next morning and late for work. ( always with this lady) I'm done!!! Don't even bother going here. I would also like to speak to someone in charge , this can't be ok. Traci Chenault

The pharmacy used to be ok but has really fallen behind lately. Calls saying my medication is ready for pickup when it’s not. Then other times my doctor has called in a prescription but pharmacy said it hasn’t been authorized by doctor. Many other people in line with similar issues.

This store barely deserves one star. The employees were rude and unprofessional. One lady behind the counter was sitting down and discussing their salaries with another male employee. They completely stopped helping people so the female employee could complain that she was struggling financially and the store didn’t pay her enough. Then when she rang me up, she went on to talk about how I was lucky to be able to afford all this and I must have a rich husband. It was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. I’ve been to this store a few times and that was definitely my worse experience. But other times, the employees will lie and say the Thrifty’s is closed even when it should be open. There was a young female employee with black hair named Kylie who was on her phone when i came in with my kids. We asked for ice cream and she said it was closed. It was only 7pm! Very disappointed with the customer service. I asked to speak to the manager one time and they said there wasn’t one at the time. I’m not sure if that’s true or if they didn’t want to get in trouble. Overall, I don’t recommend this location. ??

I’ve been getting my prescriptions from this rite aid pharmacy for several months now having moved back to the area and I have to say, every time I call with questions and when I come in I am always accommodated by everyone. Faith, the pharmacy manager, is so understanding and patient with addressing my concerns and providing me with the information I need to feel confident about my medications and supplements as well as navigating insurance, which has given me so many problems. She has shown me compassion and offered sound advice. I’ve also witnessed outstanding communication between her and her staff to make sure everyone is on the same page and the place is running smoothly. They definitely do what they can here and I have faith in Faith to meet my pharmacy needs. Thank you so much Faith and the rest of the Rite aid staff. Appreciate you guys!
