Before we had heard back from our vet about which food to buy, we had bought the wrong food and opened it already. But Petco happily let us exchange the opened bay for the right one and the guy who helped us was quite informative and empathetic to the health challenges our puppy is having. Overall, a quick and very easy experience.

I just went shopping there and met the sweetest check out girl Her name is Danielle and she was so friendly and kind and makes me wanna shop at that Petco only! Keep up the great customer service Danielle , I love your personality!!

The manager refused to sell a goldfish for three year old. Saying that the tank was not big enough. So I offered to buy a larger tank... And the manager said she would not sell me a goldfish and a tank but I would have to buy a tank and kit and then come back five days later after the water was suitable to put fish in and then get the fish. She made the process extremely difficult even after I have purchased a 3 gallon tank and filtration system at the store in the past. She says that a fish requires a tank that has 2 gallons for every inch of fish length... But in their store they have about 100 goldfish in a 20 gallon tank it's absolutely absurd. While I was there she then sold 30 goldfish to a guy who was going to feed them to a turtle. Lots of attitude And now I have to go to a different store to find a goldfish for my three-year-old. The goldfish cost $.29. I was offering to buy a $50 tank to make her happy and she still wouldn't do it.

I drove a 94 yo friend to Petco to get a rabies vaccine for her dog through the Vetco service. It was scheduled by calling Petco. She was not not told to bring the record of the previous vaccine. We were there for over an hour sitting on a pile of boxes, there were no chairs to sit on. The intake process was long, as employees entered each pet information into a handheld tablet, not in the order of arrival. This could have easily done at home and saved discomfort and time for all involved. This might already been available but we were not directed to this option when we scheduled. In spite of getting a 3 year vaccine, because the record of the last vaccine was not brought, the certificate notes that the vaccine is good for only a year. It was a miserable experience that could have been avoided easily.

This store is very up in the air with service. Sometimes it's great but the last time I was here it was more then lacking I wish they were more consistent with consumers.

Went in to find a calming thunder vest for my dog and wandered the store for 15 minutes trying to find an employee to help me. The guy at the register was swamped with a long line. I had to pop my head in the managers office, three employees were in there talking about getting McDonald's for lunch. I told Chelsea who I believe was the manager that I was looking for help for 15 minutes. She just said ok, gave me a dirty look & didn't apologize. Not very customer service oriented. However, Stephanie who helped me check out was very pleasant.

Just wanted to say what a great manager this store has: Erin. Loyal Petco dog food/treat customer and member of Thrive Vet clinic here. Contacted customer service online yesterday as I wasn't seeing my dog food credits on my account. Online rep basically said adios. I buy online and do in store pick up due to the cost savings as well as trying to support my local brick and mortar store. Glad I decided to discuss with store manager Erin today. She spent time on the phone with customer service and offered me a good resolution and they are keeping my business. Here lies the dilemma of online shopping and why we need to support our neighborhood stores. Thank you Erin.

I'm a shopper for an App I went to the store could not find the requested products. I asked for help and got no response. The associates we're unhelpful and appeared uninterested in my issues. They pointed to the area of the store and never followed up to help. Zero stars from me.

The only reason I chose to come to this Petco grooming, was because my local Petco was fully booked before the holidays. Usually I take my puppy to the Petco in Oceanside and they do a wonderful job, I've never had any problems. I decided to take him to this Petco and I'm never coming back again. The customer service in the grooming department needs proper training in how to talk to customers. I told them I wanted a "Teddy Bear Cut" on my mini golden doodle. Nevertheless, he came out looking like a street rat. He was cut way too short and he did not have a teddy bear cut at all. Not only that but they also didn't cut my 9 month old's nails properly. I noticed right after picking him up that one of them was split in half!!! Never coming here again, overall experience was terrible.

Customer service is lacking here. Manager asking people to pull up their masks, I needed to return some items that were purchased at a different location. I was in the area and knew it was possible. The manager told me that it was very "inconvenient" and I should take them back to the original store. Customer service is not a priority here, managers care more about avoiding work. avoid this location.

It's always nearly impossible to walk through the store because they have so many stock carts sitting in the aisles. I just was there getting cat litter & the cart I had was giving me trouble with steering, and I had to make a huge circle around the store, since everything is so blocked, and then as I was struggling to turn the cart an employee laughed/snickered at me struggling before asking if I needed help. I mean, seriously?

Very hard to deal with. Went with my 9yo. They wouldn't sell me a $0.39 goldfish because I only had a 10G tank and one goldfish already. They were overly concerned about the fishes health and future size. They told me they could not in good conscious sell me a fish. My daughter was devastated. Turns out that they WILL sell you goldfish as feeder fish though with no questions. So you can buy a goldfish as food, but not for a second fish in a 10G tank., they are too worried about it's health. What a BS stance. Never shopping here again. What happened to just buying a fish anymore? I guess I'm off to buy an 80G tank and put a single guppy in it just in case it grows in 5 years....

We adopted our little rescue 3 months ago and was a little nervous how she would do with her first grooming. We were so relieved she did great. I'm 100% positive it's because of our super caring groomer, Courtnie. You can see her love for dogs and more importantly the way the dogs love her back!! She is our go to groomer for now on.

Used to love this store and have been going there for over 13 years, for some reason in the last month the store is all new employees and their customer service has gone below a 0. Asked to have a manager call me and never heard back.... Will not be shopping there anymore with so many other stores that offer the same product with a good attitude. I'll miss our groomer Kellie.

I love this store! Friendly and wonderful staff. Always helpful when needed. Rachel is an amazing trainer and has been working with Louie and I, we highly recommend her! Overall this is our favorite Petco in the area and we are regulars.
