The most beautiful Hyatt I have seen in a long time! Service was so on point and the restaurant was wonderful!
Food and drinks: Ponto Lago was so good - Potato Tostones were so good as were all of the proteins! Service is amazing - we had 3 servers attending to our every need! And let's not forget the views - serene AND glorious!

I was eagerly looking forward to this family trip and used my GOH award to access Globalist benefits. With its reputation as one of the best Park Hyatts in North America, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, this stay did not live up to them.
We stayed for three days and two nights. Traveling with two young children, my only request at check-in was for a quiet room. While there was no upgrade despite Globalist status—which might be expected—I was still surprised to find that even the quiet room request was not accommodated. We were assigned a room on the 2nd floor, just beneath the lobby and reception on the 3rd floor, with a balcony view offering no scenery, blocked by hotel's iteself
Our room was not bed. After a long day at Legoland, our kids went to bed early but were constantly awakened by loud chair-dragging noises and heavy footsteps above. The noise persisted well past 10 PM, so I called the concierge. Thirty minutes later, there was still no improvement, so I contacted the front desk, only to learn that our room was directly below a bar that closed at 11 PM. However, even by 11:20 PM, the noise had not stopped. Finally, a manager intervened and addressed the issue for the night.
The following morning, I requested a room change, which took a bit of back-and-forth with the front desk, but they eventually moved us in a room at third floor next to the Presidential Suite with a much better view. This room was wonderfully quiet, and we were finally able to sleep well.
Breakfast, a complimentary Globalist benefit, was fine but did not meet the high expectations set by reviews; I found the quality to fall short of Alila San Diego's breakfast. At check-out, I requested a folio for accuracy, and all charges seemed correct. However, I later received an unexpected charge for breakfast. After reaching out to the hotel, they confirmed that the breakfast was indeed complimentary and apologized for the error. I asked them to confirm and they said yes no problem no charge for sure. Yet, three days later, my credit card was still charged. I had to contact the hotel again to get it corrected—an issue that ideally should have been prevented.
Overall, while there were some positives, such as the quiet second room, the series of inconveniences and lack of initial responsiveness led to a less-than-great experience.

Great resort. Not a lot in walking distance, but a beautiful area.

Only worked at location. Nothing really around there to eat so you have to jump in the car for everything. Nice place though.

When going on a business trip and you're in the San Diego area. This might be your new home away from home. They make you feel as if you're part of the family. From the food to the customer service all the way to the folks who prepare your room for you. I would say this was a great conference and it was a great environment everyone was very hospitable as well. The gentleman who was preparing my room for me Mr Diego in the lobby. Hopefully you get a chance to meet him and also the good folks at the registration desk and the banquets as well. Top shelf service!
I'm totally looking forward to coming back on my own, for leisure time. Thanks Hyatt for making this trip very memorable. I also spent a lot of time in the gym, it had everything that I needed.

Was there for a wedding 10.4- 10.7 24. Started rough with late room readiness and mix ups with guests. We had to drag our luggage 1000 yards at checkin bc of another "event" . Valet was completely chaos that Thursday afternoon. Rest of stay was flawless including the rooms, staff, cleanliness and of course a wonderful wedding done perfectly outdoors. They cannot control the damned marine layer of clouds hanging around all weekend. No rain as usual tho. I am a tough grader, but for $800/ night location they should be tough on themselves also.

From the moment you arrive, Greg has got you covered. Just relax.
You will see Makenna at breakfast and any questions you have about the offerings are covered. The food is delicious!
Ran across one unexpected hiccup and the floor manager got me a new coffee cup instantly. The room coffee here uses Illy pods. What a delight!
The concierge and matre d' tel had very useful hints that were relevant to my specific instance. What wonderful advice. Listen to them!
Finally but not least, the barista at Market Place was incredibly friendly and helpful many times. Stop in.
This facility is most excellent for small business meetings (2-5 people) that require drinks or catering, up to large corporate conventions receptions etc. Whatever your event, call the event coordinator or food & beverage manager to see if limitations apply. I'm betting you will be happily surprised.

Unbelievable!!! Elegant! Wonderful beautiful and so expensive I could only go there when someone else paid for it.
Rooms: Beautiful great room. The tub was too high to step in and for a accessible for handicapped just a shower would have been much better.

Recently attended a wedding and celebrated an anniversary here. Everything was outstanding, especially the service. They went above and beyond at every juncture and made it a very special time.

Love this place one of my favorite hotels in the world (51 countries and counting) - just has a vibe of resorts I imagine the way there were way back in the day. Great incredible Landscaping. Lovely rooms excellent service valets that remember your name.

One of the biggest reasons for this poor review is because I am writing it now at 9:30 am instead of resting comfortably in my king sized bed. The hotel management failed to disclose a clearly previously scheduled fire maintenance check. So I was rudely awakened by two screeching sounds followed by continuous Muzak. Then a person with the acronym HCI on the back of his tee shirt arrived and did his promised “2 second” check of the smoke alarm. It’s been 5 minutes and the hotel intercom is still piping Muzak into our room.
Prior to this event, our stay was okay. Special kudos to the valet staff, Kiersten, Fernando and our housekeeper (who came while we were out of the room yesterday so I didn’t get her name). We’ve recently stayed at the Ritz Spa in Paris, France so we expected this experience to pale in comparison to Paris. But we expect more from a Park Hyatt locale in a major city. Personally, I never mind paying but I expect to get what I pay for. I just want to warn people like me who pay a lot and expect a lot in return to lower their expectations or avoid this property.
Rooms: Nice rooms but not exceptional for a luxury hotel. Just appropriate
Nearby activities: No nearby activities. You must battle traffic to go downtown or to Old Town San Diego where activities and restaurants are plentiful
