This is the worst bank I've ever had to deal with. Horrible customer service, no ATM, extremely difficult even getting minor transactions completed. Do yourself a favor and bank with a financial institution from this decade. I'm surprised there even still in business. Explains why I was always the only person in there.

My father banked there. I signed up with them and my dad on a safe deposit box. He died last month so I went in there sad from losing my father and left shocked because they wouldnt let me access it and found out they called the cops on me

1 star is too many. This is our main bank for our small business. They could not have done less to help us during this outbreak. If anything, they held us up from any help. This bank did very well when times were good. Where are they now? Nowhere. They couldn't help us with the PPPloan offered by the government. After all this is over, we will find bank that will work for us in bad times and good!!! Pacific Western Bank, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I only gave one star because I can't give it zero and leave a review. The tellers at the Carlsbad branch are slow and have no sense of urgency even if you're the only customer in the entire bank. This bank is sorely lacking in the use of technology. Every time I walk into their bank it's like stepping back through time. Slow and inconvenient. When I go to my regular bank I can swipe my debit card and deposit or withdraw funds quickly. Here they make the banking experience excruciating. Once I waited approximately ten minutes to cash a check. Sadly, I was the only person at the bank at the time. Like, wtf?! This branch has a drive thru window but no ATM. What type of bank doesn't even have an ATM at their branch?? Every time I need cash I have to either drive out of my way to their ATM or pay a $3 fee. I tried to set up online access to my step dad's account and was told they don't allow Power of Attorney's online access. So, I can walk in and take all of my step dad's money out of the bank but can't go online to check balances or print an old bank statement? Huh. If you lose your debit card you have to wait to have another one mailed to you. Navy Federal and San Diego County Credit Union are both capable of printing new cards in office, immediately. This bank sucks. Put your money somewhere with convenient ATMs, better customer service and a working, user friendly online banking system.

As a small business owner this is an incredible bank to have a business account. They really work on helping you and do not have the restrictions bigger banks require. VERY Happy here. I bank at 4 places and the San Diego County Credit Union and Pacific Western are my favorites over my bigger banks.

Think twice before opening an account here. If you are looking for covenant and easy banking this is not the place. It took 3 hours to open an account with 2 visits to the bank. That should of been a clue of the capabilities of this bank. I like to use the remote deposit on the app and they keep blocking my account for no reason. Granted I don't use it a lot once a month or so but I did not have this kind of problems with Chase. Be warned you are getting what you are paying for.

Customer service HORRIBLE. My family decided to do business banking with them and if it was my decision I would close all the accounts and go somewhere else. Can't get a deposit slip unless making deposit, they fax to my cell phone ( multiple times) after being given my fax number, made deposits into the wrong account. Not sure how they are still in business. If you don't care about customer service and the bottom line is your only concern then bank there but don't complain about mistakes and bad customer service. Maybe they will read this and make some changes. I must say I have not been to other branches but I will probably go out of my way to at least give it a try.
