ProsDesigned for Kids: The best part of this hotel. Totally designed for kids in everything they do. Activities in the hotel all around for kids. Activities in the room for kids. Activities at breakfast for kids. Breakfast designed for kids. This hotel is amazing for little ones. This is the most kid-friendly hotel I have come across in the USA to keep kids entertained. The kid loved the outdoor play areas in the hotel and we were very impressed by them too. The play area equipment is very high quality designed to help ensure kids don't get hurt while at play. Really appreciate the thought process and commitment to quality.Fun evening activities for kids is another plus.Appreciate the life guards at the swimming pook to ensure safety is mintained. Hot tub is great.Rooms: Rooms are fantastic. Love the separate sleeping area for kids with the Lego building board and Lego bricks. Love the low height bathtub. Exciting safe with Lego sets everyday.Breakfast/Dinner: Breakfast is very good with plenty of options for vegetarians. While the dinner menu did not have a lot of vegetarian options, the chef was great and made some great vegetarian food.ConsBreakfast Management: Despite taking reservations, reservation timings are not honored. This defeats the advantage of getting early entry to the park as all the time is spent waiting in line to be seated for breakfast despite having reservations. Reservation and non-reservation guests are placed in the same queue. Hotel and non-hotel guests are placed in the same queue. Defeats the purpose of paying a premium to stay at the hotel.Chocolate milk dispenser was not working throughout our stay for breakfast.Would have loved to see more character meet and greets inside the hotel.Swimming Pool: While they claim the swimming pool is heated, it was not heated during our stay.Value: Very good 4-Star experience and 4-stars owing to the amazing kid-friendly nature all around. For the premium being charged, the hotel needs to deliver more value and a better experience to hotel guests to make it a 5-star experience.

The hotel is awesome for kids and located right at the entrance to legoland. Our kids absolutely love it every time we come.

This is a great place to stay for the kiddos! Right next to LegoLand!Rooms and hallways are pretty cool too. We stayed here a bit ago and the kids enjoyed it. Breakfast was good, but go early (7 am) because it gets way too busy as a buffet so the line builds. The restaurant (Bricks) at the other hotel across from the castle is buffet and it’s sub par. Their chocolate milk was good but their food could have been better, especially for the price.Only a few heads up.1 - There is an inner courtyard so if your room window is next to it, you’ll be hearing the entertainment until 10 pm (the stage) which is super weird for kids. Our were wiped out and wanted to sleep. We were able to move rooms.2 - the courtyard is actually great with a playground, outdoor theater but with limited seating, and stage. I think all this closes at 10 pm (again, which is way too late especially having room windows right next to it)3 - Pool oddly closed at 7 pm. But the stage goes on for 3 hours longer. They are quite stringent on height and wearing a life jacket under a certain height. I don’t remember what it is but our kid who is short and knows how to swim had to wear one. There are life guards there that seem to be very good about their job. I couldn’t pace like that! Hehe Your kids will be safe. The shallow part descends to 1.5’ and then the buoys separate the deep end which is 5’ or so. No diving board but Lego bricks to build.4 - If it’s your kids’ birthday, get the birthday package or else your child will not have a banner on the room doors and they will be everywhere and your child will notice. The package is worth it.5 - A lot of hotel interaction is done online on the app. I know my way around an app, but it is weird to only have seen 1-2 staff the entire time around the lobby.Rooms: Lego themes in every roomWalkability: Right next to LegoLand and Lego Hotel. No car to get to those. It’s literally next to itFood & drinks: Buffet style with a typical food type at a buffet.

This is my kids favorite hotel. The pool is fun with floating Lego bricks. The playground is fun and challenging for kids of all ages. The outdoor movie screen is fun to watch. We loved the family entertainment. One of our favorite parts is the breakfast buffet. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They really make the kids feel special.

Such a fun place to stay. Every inch is decorated and lots of fun at every corner. There’s a slide in the lobby, and fun on the elevator. Always some fun activities going on. Lots of courtyard games, movies, characters walking around, shows. Quiet at night when you want it to be. Nice to be so close to the park. Definitely recommend.

Staying at the LEGOLAND castle hotel was overall a positive experience. It was clean and the early access to the park and location at the park entrance made the stay well worth it.However, don’t fall for some of the so called “Hotel exclusives” such as purchasing the ice bucket from your room shaped like a minifigure head. The sign in the room stated it was exclusive to the hotel and I really liked it so we bought one for $20. We asked at that time of purchase if they had female options to be told no….Come to find out, the same container labeled Lego storage can be purchased in two different sizes on Legos website for $9.99 and have multiple female and other options. I know this may seem negligible but it made me feel taken advantage of. Just be sure to do a quick search of their so called “exclusives”Rooms: The themed rooms were very fun, we stayed in the knight room. It did not disappoint. It was great to have bunk beds for the kiddos.Walkability: Walkability to the park is second to none, you are basically staying inside the park.

The place and personnel were really nice, but there were a lot of mice on the playground area which was really gross. They really need to get rid of them.

We love Legoland Castle Hotel! We try to stay here at least 1-3 times a year! The 15% discount for season pass holders is always a bonus! And I believe they have more availability for season pass holders than ones who arent. The customer service is amazing! You can text concierge anything you need and it is at your doorstep right away. There is a separate bedroom for the kids, with their own TV and a very spacious bathroom. The rooms are always clean and we love their themed rooms!Especially the treasure hunt which always gets the kiddos some amazing legos

Super fun with a playground and small water park. Didn't use the water park at all. Rooms are the most fun of any we have stayed in. There was a treasure hunt that leads to a treasure chest in your own room that has actual "treasure" and prizes. The kids loved it.

I love the concept of having a play area, a movie theater, a build space, an then having absolutely no outdoor heaters for the kids or the area. The play area isn’t as grand as the other Lego hotel. The check in area is almost kinda weird. Unused space. They really need to hire someone with some creativity. The rooms were clean. Staff were nice. Same design layout as the other hotel to a T with just a slight change in the theme. One set of elevators so your tasked with walking a mile each way to the room at the far end. This hotel backs to the aquarium an trash area. So you get to hear trucks unloading an backing up. All hours of the night. For the cost. I’d expect more.We stayed at both hotels. They really need to up the game.Food & drinks: Make a reservation for dinner - if this hotel is busy go next door eat there. Same food

We have stayed at both hotels on different occasions and love the Castle Hotel much more. We love the giant movie screen, pool, hot tub, playground, and outdoor stage. My kids love the slide in the lobby and they prefer the Dragons Den restaurant over Bricks Buffet. The Legoland Hotel does have its own unique benefits but the good news is: you can visit and use the Legoland hotel amenities as a Castle Hotel guest. Win-win!!Safety: Very kid friendly and very safe for kids. Also wheelchair/scooter accessible.

Rooms: I dislike the lack of child proofing in an obvious hotel meant for children. There are no options to safely keep the door locked from toddlers. No safe way to prevent toddlers from using and playing on the top bunk. I also didn't like that the children's room was directly next to the exit. It's decorative at least and my kids enjoyed it but I had to park my stroller locked up against the door. It was also super noisy all night.Service: Zero if I could and for that reason we'll never pay to stay here again. Check out is firm about the time but definitely not check in and they do not mention this anywhere when I booked. We checked in early and they say they'll text you when your room is ready but check in time clearly stated it was 4pm. Total B.S. several of us parents with exhausted children were stuck in the lobby for over an hour because check in time isn't actually at 4pm. Check in time according to the employee and manager is "whenever house cleaning tells us". Zero help, zero accommodations and a fake apology is all we received.Location: Obviously 5 stars never didn't have to drive but we did have to pay $50 to park! I had already paid the $20 when I reserved the hotel but upon arrival, the parking person stated we needed to upgrade our parking to park in a reasonably close spot. If we didn't, we'd have to park on the opposite side of the park, clear across the lot.Food: The castle hotel restaurant is super pricey for what you get. We ate the buffet at Bricks. Bricks buffet was just "ok". It's not a place we'd eat again and it was extremely overpriced. BUT, the Bricks breakfast was amazing. Healthy options as well as cereal, bagels, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. I will say the coffee was awful but most free coffee is. Everyone in our family found something to eat for breakfast compared to the dinner buffet.Overall: ripoff. We've paid more and we've paid less for hotels and this has really been the worse hotel we've stayed at.Rooms: Check in is at 4pm as stated on their website. If you plan to stay here, be aware that you might not be checked in until up to 2 hours later.

Actually stayed at Legoland hotel, did dinner at the castle. This place is very focused on family with younger kids. This not a Waldorf Astoria, but a fun functionally themed hotel that is amazing for a 5 year old. It's Legos everywhere! Prizes for the kids, activities in hotel - treasure hunt, story time, and a dance party for Halloween! Pool area has life guards and life vests for the youngsters.Rooms: Rooms are well themed and fun. Some wear and age starting show. Sleeps 5 with the trundle. Kids get bunks in separate area from parents. Miss in room microwave, but it's down the hall. In room fridge and keurig. Luggage service is part of the accommodation.Safety: Very family friendly. Kids are the focus and center for everyone.Walkability: Resort hotel with legoland park just out the back door. Don't plan on walking anywhere other then between the two hotels and legoland park.Food & drinks: Buffet is consistent and good - traditional items of bacon sausage waffles pancakes and fruit, lots of pastries and daily specialty options. Dinner was remarkable for a Buffet with kids options and more complex flavors for adults. Expect resort level pricing, but decent quality.
